Man, you guys spend so much cash on flowers, centerpieces, makeup, dresses, and all that stuff... but at the end of the day, the photos are really the only thing you actually get to keep, and then people totally lose their minds when they finally see the photographer's quote! If you're looking for something in the Midwest, I'd suggest Sun Photo El Paso (they do great work without breaking the bank) or maybe Bot Studio Vinkovci (also solid, they have some really cool ideas, though they can be a bit pricey)... once I figure out how to upload the pictures here, you'll see what I mean...😉

vividtinker17, I can't see anything 😢 try uploading them one at a time and just copying the hotlink URL provided for forums. It would probably be best if you moved these over to the dedicated thread meant for photos, which is the wedding pictures topic 🙂

Hey Nikolin, give this one a shot... I totally messed up the last link I posted, so hopefully it actually works this time since I'm still such a newbie at all this tech stuff and had to get a friend to walk me through it!

Ashley, these shots are absolutely killer... I’m guessing you didn't have any hiding under $1667??? And Pinky, she is just so adorable.... honestly, it looks like you used a few different cameras for these, because the quality jumps around a bit.
I really wish I could show you guys my own collection—all the close-ups, the black and whites, the selfies and everything else—but they're all tucked away in my private album! Sending you guys a huge, huge hello!

Thomas Miller8 said:We’ve officially locked in our wedding party at the Admiral—they are hands down the best in the business. The dress is already booked over at Nikolin (I actually snagged 200 invitations as part of the deal, plus there's a 10% discount if you book by November, and they let you change your mind about the gown later on). We've got a Sax player lined up for the music, and we went with Boto from Ivankov for photography—though I'm actually curious if anyone knows what his rates look like? We only booked him just to make sure we didn't lose the date, so we haven't sat down to talk numbers yet, but I've heard he can be pretty pricey... I haven't settled on flowers yet, but I have a feeling that Jaka from Ivankov would be a fantastic choice.......

Branka, mine are at the Admiral too. 😍
My fiancé's sister had her wedding there last year, and the venue is absolutely brilliant. The only thing I heard is that they don't use those chair covers anymore, just some sort of "designer" white chairs... I really wanted the covers, but I still need to ask the owner (my mother-in-law handled the booking since I'm over in Chicago 😁), but my partner and I are heading there to sign the contract in a week or two, so I'll ask for all the specifics then..

We've got "The Musicians" lined up to play.
I know firsthand that these guys are absolutely fantastic... they actually just finished a three-weekend stretch playing weddings for some friends of mine, and they were incredible. Seriously, everyone was out on the floor dancing.

Has anyone here had experience with them, or maybe spent some time at the Mayo Clinic venue before?

Been there about ten times, twice as a maid of honor, so I know the deal. The owner is top-tier, you can work out pretty much anything, and the prices are super fair. You can even order the cakes through him—they’re great. Sad I won't be having my wedding there since it's a bit awkward for me to host guests that far away, but I did buy tablecloths, napkins, balloons, and other decor for my house from him. He even gifted an exploder to one of my friends. Of course, that's just my take, someone else might've had a bad time.

A couple I know personally has decided to postpone their wedding indefinitely. They asked me to post this here because they’ve already locked in their venue, the band, and the photographer. If anyone is looking to snag their specific date, please shoot me a private message and I’ll get you in touch with them. Ideally, they’re hoping to recover at least their deposits, and honestly, having all these vendors already lined up might be a huge win for someone else's planning process.
The date is: 04.19.
The venue is Bendek in Indianapolis, the band is Twister, and the photographer is Photo Mara from Beli Manastir.

Moderators, my apologies for starting a new thread; if there's a more appropriate section for this, please feel free to move it. Thanks!

Branka, James Smith43, and my crew are all set at Admiral. What dates are you guys looking at? Regarding the seating, I checked out those new chairs and they’re top-tier. They have those new covers available too, but honestly, I’m going without them—you really need to see them in person to compare the two. We went ahead and booked the Art Band from VK. They seem alright to me. Have any of you caught them live before? As for "Wedding Song," it feels a bit early for that, doesn't it? I'll be picking up the invitations in Djakov...

Hey everyone, I’m starting to wonder... who on earth is going to handle the flowers for you? I happened to hear that Palma in Djakov is actually really good at what they do. Does anyone here have any experience with Palma, or is there someone else you’d all highly recommend instead?

My date is October 3, 2008.
I was actually at Admiral this past Saturday with Drag to sign the contract. The lady who has been handling everything so far was wonderful. Unfortunately, from now on, a guy will be taking over the coordination (the planning with the couple and such). I just hope everything stays at the high standard she maintained.. 🤷

By the way, the menu is $68 per person, all-inclusive. That seems fair to me. Looking at what's included—all the drinks, desserts, the wedding cake, appetizers, main course, the whole nine yards—the selection looks excellent..
When are yours?

Also, the folks at Admiral recommended Mrs. Jaka for flowers. Apparently, they work together most often. She knows the hall and the color schemes perfectly, and word is she's one of the most affordable options, so I think I'll reach out to her..
Has anyone heard of her?

James Smith43, how on earth is it that cheap?

I'm not sure. It’s just part of their standard package. They do offer more expensive versions, but based on the quote we received at this price point, there's no way the guests will leave hungry. I actually attended a wedding there once, and the food spread was incredibly generous...

Hey everyone, I am honestly so relieved to hear you finally got that sorted out.
The offer sounds fantastic! So, did your partner end up making the move?

Hello ladies, I find myself posing yet another question to the group...🙂 ..does anyone happen to know where in Indianapolis or the surrounding areas I might source some white tulle—perhaps a slightly wider variety—as I am looking to use it for decorating a venue?

Dennis Ramos, if you're looking to pick some up at Walmart, I swung by there a few weeks back, but I think they only had the yellow stuff in stock then. Honestly, your best bet might be checking out some local fabric stores or places that sell curtains by the yard. I actually ended up grabbing some white ones over in Missouri for about $5.00/yard.

There’s a fabric shop on Radie Street right by the stop sign, and another one further up the same street closer to the library. You can also find some near the community center downtown—that’s usually the cheapest spot—or over in the county district right next to Goldman Sachs.
The prices top out at about $6.75 per yard, though the bolts are typically quite wide. I actually picked up a smaller amount from there once, and I've grabbed some supplies in Missouri too.

Where exactly is that restaurant located?
