Laura Ivankovo's venue - any reviews?
Does anyone know a good local baker for cakes and pastries?
What's typically included in the price?
Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Laura, seriously gorgeous! If they weren't already booked up, we'd be there in a heartbeat. The place is stunning and everything else is just top-tier.

Well, let me give this another shot ๐Ÿ™‚

Does anyone happen to know a rental company that carries round wedding tables? Iโ€™m looking for the standard banquet styleโ€”about 70 inches in diameterโ€”not those tall cocktail or bar tables you see at lounges.

I'm pretty much open to anyone serving the entire Midwest area...๐Ÿ˜

Hey ladies, ๐Ÿ˜
Does anyone have any solid recommendations for musicians or bands, or maybe some great photographers?

You could have made this a bit easier on us by narrowing things downโ€”maybe mention where you're located, what kind of vibe you're after, or even just a rough budget...
well, we actually ended up picking a photographer from Indianapolis and a new band that's also based out of Indianapolis...
As far as the bands go, I didn't really have any other options to look at, but for the photography, I was torn between them and Photo Zoom...

Does anyone happen to have any insight into the quality of Beckstudio out of Indianapolis? I'm considering hiring them, so I was wondering if ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seems like folk bands are still huge around hereโ€”tradition stays alive even when everything else is going to hell.
Would it be weird if I just played the music through a streaming service or a CD instead? What's the vibe on that?

If you ask me, itโ€™s better to cut costs somewhere else rather than on the music... for example, instead of hosting a massive wedding party, just have the groom and the best man pick you up, and let the rest of the guests show up for the ceremony. It'd be hard to keep the energy up without a live band, thoughโ€”they're really the ones who keep the whole crowd moving! :-/

Ladies, does anyone have a recommendation for a decent tea that isn't way too heavy? ๐Ÿ˜ Honestly, I feel like Iโ€™m going to lose my mind. I really wanted to avoid this, but apparently, it's just how things are... especially with this sweltering heatwave hitting the greater Indianapolis area! ๐Ÿ˜‰

There is this younger guy named John who is honestly great. The only real details I can give you are that his name is John and he's tall with dark hair, so I'm not being much help there. He's quite fun to be around, very laid back, and best of all, he really knows how to keep everything under control.

Haha, well, hold onโ€”my future husband better be a John! Tall, dark, and handsome? Sadly, he hasn't popped up yet! ๐Ÿ˜‚
But seriously, that's exactly the kind of guy I need. You basically just described my dream man... ๐Ÿ˜
Johnnnnnnn, where are you hiding?! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ Seriously though, someone get me his info or something...

I really don't have an answer for you right now, but I'll try to track it down and let you know. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hey there, OP... quick question for the group. My wedding is set for July 5th, and Iโ€™m currently spiraling because I need to find a hair stylist and a makeup artist. Since I'm living in New York City, I have absolutely no clue where to look in the surrounding areasโ€”maybe Indianapolis, Columbus, or Savannah? Right now, I'm torn between Serena Williams and that Chanel studio in Columbus, but honestly, looking at their portfolios, the Chanel place seems to have a slightly better vibe.
Help me out here..... if this wedding were in NYC, I wouldn't even be asking because I'd know exactly where to go, but being out here is stressing me out. This is driving me nuts; I actually picked out my photographer and my band faster than this ๐Ÿ˜ต

Thanks, and good luck to everyone ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Ladies, I need some serious advice. The wedding is set for June 13th. So far, weโ€™ve locked in the venueโ€”Crystal Dynamicsโ€”and the band is Mail Boxes Etc. out of Indianapolis, plus we have a photographer from JCPenney Studio. Now, I need some help finding local musicians in the Columbus area who can play traditional folk music. They need to be actually talented, but I refuse to pay an absolute fortune! hh ๐Ÿ™‚

Check out TS Golden Stitch. Those guys are honestly great and super nice, though I don't know what they charge.

Weโ€™re in the exact same boat ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ™‚
I'm from NYC, so the wedding is local, yet I feel like I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing, haha...

If you ask me, the Chanel studio wins hands down for both hair and makeup!

That really depends on what you consider expensive. ๐Ÿ™‚
I hired General Mills for my big day, and honestly, I can't even begin to tell you how much we loved them. These guys are incredible. Go listen to them on YouTube; the lead singer has an amazing voice, they play absolutely everything, and theyโ€™ve actually won several major competitions. As for the price $600, it's worth noting that there is usually room to ๐Ÿ™‚ negotiate
. They played at my place for three or four hours before the ceremony, greeted everyone afterward, and kept the party going while we were busy taking photos... It was worth every ๐Ÿ˜ penny
.
