A ton of people are venting about their experiences with Victoria, while the lucky ones who didn't run into any issues seem perfectly happy. It’s like two different worlds. I’m trying to track down some actual work samples from Chic Studio, but I’m hitting a wall. I managed to find some of Victoria's stuff on Facebook, but nothing from Chic Studio—or maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places. Any leads? 🙂

It looks like I'm back with more questions 😁. Does anyone have any information regarding the lighting from https://www.facebook.com/magnuslux.osijek/? Their prices seem quite reasonable. My main concern is whether the colors might be too intense or garish. Has anyone here had any experience working with them?

I don't, but I am curious—did you happen to get a quote for how much it would run?
The lighting package at the hall where we're getting married is priced at $1000 which feels absolutely ridiculous to me. Do you happen to know if hiring independent companies like this ends up being cheaper or more expensive than the venue's own setup?

To give you some context, we were just looking for wall coloring—nothing fancy like stars, smoke effects, or bubbles. We reached out to quite a few people, mostly those highly recommended "pros," and for a hall holding about 300 guests, they were quoting us around $3,000$1167 including transportation. That’s just too much for us. So, we contacted these guys instead. They told us $500 (or $600 🙂), which feels pretty reasonable compared to everyone else... though, honestly, we haven't worked with them before. We haven't seen their work in person, just a few photos on Facebook. I'm a little worried the colors won't be as vibrant or polished 🤷... there really is such a massive price gap...

Hey everyone! I could really use a little help from you all—I'm getting married this year in a small town in the Midwest, but since I'm coming all the way from the city, I'm looking for some solid recommendations... specifically for hair and makeup experts (ideally around the Chicago area) who can nail both! Also, any good florist suggestions? I'd love to save myself from scrolling through every single thread on here. Thanks in advance!

You don't even have to look far! If you just scroll back about 15 posts, you'll find exactly what you're looking for right there.😉

That's awesome! So those worries were totally unfounded after all.👍 But don't you feel like they get damaged more easily or something like that?

I've got some ideas for makeup, but honestly, I haven't seen any for flower shops yet ☕

About two years ago, I inquired about pricing in a major metropolitan area, and the rates were nearly identical to what we see here locally—and I am referring to standard independent jewelers, not high-end luxury boutiques like Tiffany & Co.
That being said, since that was in a downtown shopping district, it might be more affordable if you look in smaller neighborhoods or side streets.

Hmm, we actually touched on this already, but hey, don't sweat it! Personally, I think Mosaic and Fantasy are the absolute best. 👍

Any folks from the Midwest in here? 🙂 I'm hunting for some solid dessert and cake recommendations—all I know is there was this one bakery back home that was pretty mediocre... help a person out 🙂

Ladies, I could really use some advice 😢. I reached out to Apple Studio, but they’re already booked for my wedding date 😢. I’m also hesitant about working with Victoria because she doesn't seem reliable, based on what you all have said. Does anyone have other recommendations for professionals who offer in-home hair and makeup services? I’m feeling pretty discouraged right now :/. I just stumbled upon these artists—has anyone worked with them before? https://www.facebook.com/marijana.cu...on=friends_tab

How far in advance should I be booking makeup artists, florists, cake designers, and all that good stuff?
We’ve already checked off the big essentials—like the band and the venue—but honestly, I haven't the slightest clue how early I need to start locking down everything else.

I know a fantastic makeup artist named Deer. She doesn't travel to you, though—you have to go to her studio. It's located right in the downtown area.

Thanks for the info 🙂. Does she happen to have a Facebook page, a blog, or something similar where I could check out her portfolio?
