We aren't planning to work on the invitations until April. We’re going to DIY some of them, and we'll have our wedding photography team handle the rest...🙂

I'm pretty sure she just works at the salon, but hey, give her a call—you've got nothing to lose! 😉

Thanks... I'll do some more digging on the forums and see what I find 🙂

I ordered my ticket for the Chic concert three weeks ago for the October 11th show, and they barely managed to squeeze me in at the door...

Yeah, seriously though—does anyone know where I can pick up some decent wedding bands around the Chicago area without getting totally ripped off? I’m looking for something really basic. Just wondering, what’s the ballpark price for a standard white gold band these days? 😁

Everyone keeps raving about that guy over at Best Buy! Honestly, I know quite a few couples who went to him for their wedding bands. He’s super flexible, too—you can show up with your own custom design, and he’ll bring it to life exactly how you pictured it. Such a game changer! 🙂
My friend was picking up some super basic wedding bands over there—just really simple, thin white gold ones—and I actually just sent her a message about it! 😉

So, I was just sitting here thinking about my phone—you know how it is when you start overanalyzing things? Anyway, I’ve been staring at this Android lately and it got me thinking. There is just something about the way these devices handle everything! It’s funny, because I remember back when I first moved to Chicago, I was so obsessed with having the latest tech, always chasing that one specific brand. But now? I'm just vibing with what works. It's all about that feeling in your hand, right? Just a random thought, but I had to share!

Ugh, I feel like I'm repeating myself with every single post here! ☕

That’s all I could find, and honestly, there weren't even any photos.

Help!!!!
My sister is getting married in a mid-sized US city and she’s hunting for about 50 chair covers. Does anyone know someone nearby who rents them out?

You probably just need to add them as friends first. They have a ton of pictures hidden away! 😉

I was just wondering, is there anyone else out there who’s already booked the Short Circuit band and those amazing cupcakes? We’ve got them all reserved!

Folks, does anyone in the Midwest know where to find a truly reliable bakery for youth birthday cakes? 🙂

Hey, does anyone have any makeup recommendations for the mid-sized US city area? Thanks!

I have a quick question—and please, tell me if I’m just overthinking this one, because I’d rather be certain than accidentally cause a scene. Is there some sort of unwritten rule where the younger crowd is expected to circulate through the reception, moving from table to table to personally greet the wedding party? I’ve noticed it happening more than once. It feels as though some guests might actually take offense if you don't make that formal effort to acknowledge them directly. I really wouldn't want anyone feeling slighted just because I wasn't aware of the etiquette.

It isn't a strict rule, and I haven't heard of anyone being offended by that one way or another.
In our experience, guests—specifically those who arrive just in time for dinner—usually greet the couple upon entering to offer their congratulations. If people are already out on the dance floor, they typically wait until everyone is seated before doing so. 🤷
I attended a wedding once where the couple did exactly that, walking from table to table to take photos with every guest, but it ended up taking quite a large chunk of time.
My plan was simply to briefly visit the guests who aren't dancing much, such as grandparents or older relatives.

I agree. It seems perfectly fine to just seek out the people you didn't get a chance to talk to during the day or those who haven't made it out onto the dance floor yet.😉

Thanks for all the input, everyone. That’s exactly why I’m asking. Look, I have no problem dropping by to see my grandma or an old uncle—that’s just common sense—but I really wouldn't want some guest to feel slighted or offended just because I didn't make a point to say hello to them. It seems like a lot of unnecessary drama to avoid.

I can't speak for how things are done out in the Midwest, but we handled it right after everyone hit the hall and before the first course even touched the table. It didn't eat up much time since the guest list wasn't huge, but we made a point to stop at every single table, checking in to see if everything was alright and giving them a few minutes of our time...

True enough... but we're looking at a crowd of 350 to 400 guests. 🤣

In that case, it could drag on forever. 😁
At least try showing some consideration for those who aren't even going to dance, but will be stuck sitting at the table for most, if not all, of the evening.
