We actually put together a custom combo in champagne gold—it isn't even listed in the catalog,
but we're getting a better deal than if we went through any of the other big retailers. Usually, though, the price fluctuates depending on how much you order...

Hi there! Just wanted to jump in and give you my two cents based on what I know. They definitely carry those high-end designer gowns, though I will say the price tags are a bit steep. If you're looking for those exact same designer styles but want to keep things budget-friendly, you can actually find them in Warsaw too—the prices there are super reasonable, ranging from $1,500 up to $0.90 for the most expensive ones, and that includes all the accessories! The owners don't really pad their margins like other shops do, which is why they're such a steal compared to everywhere else. That's all I've got for you! They're located right by the Danube Hotel. Good luck!

Does anyone actually sell homemade cherry liqueur? Like, the real deal, small-batch stuff? Or does anyone know a plug who might have some lying around?
I was originally planning on handing out little shot glasses filled with the good stuff as party favors, but man, I didn't realize finding high-quality, homemade cherry brandy would be such a mission.
Most people I know only make enough for their own pantries, so they aren't looking to run a business—but I'm happy to buy it off you by the bottle. I'm probably looking at needing maybe 10-15 liters total to make this work.
Please, help a girl out! If you've got a stash or a lead, hit me up via DM.🙏

Hey Zachary Booth3, no worries at all—I'll figure things out somehow since I've got a whole year to get ready—but thanks so much for trying to help me out anyway!

I actually placed my order with them and put down a deposit, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with everything so far.

Sorry to jump in like this, but I have an important update.
I put down a deposit for the Classic ballroom for a wedding on February 14th, 2009. Since then, my fiancée and I have decided to go with a smaller venue instead. To get my money back, I need to find someone else willing to host their wedding at the Classic on that specific date. If anyone is interested, please reach out. I’m new to this forum, so I’m still figuring out how everyone expects me to be contacted... you guys probably know the drill.

I managed to snag a dress from Liza over in Pomona, too. Honestly, those girls always go all out!

I just picked out my wedding dress at the Lisa boutique in Des Moines. I had my final fitting this past Saturday, and honestly, the staff there is incredible. They’re so patient and helpful, even when customers are being a little difficult—like the bride in the fitting right before me, or maybe even me! 😛
I’m picking it up next week. I can't wait! 😍

How many times did you go to dress fittings before the wedding?

I actually put down a deposit on my wedding dress last year—call it a "test run"—mostly because I just couldn't wait. This was just a quick second fitting to see if we needed to take it in a bit.
Usually, new collections drop around New Year's or in the spring, but I fell head over heels for this one and had to lock it in immediately. 😍

I actually put my deposit down back in November last year, but I’m totally lost on when the tasting might happen since I've got a wedding to attend on October 18th

Has anyone here actually tried on a Maggie Sottero gown, or are you all sticking to other designers?

One more thing...
Does anyone know if it's possible to set up a tent somewhere in the Chicago area or nearby to host a wedding?
I assume we'll need some permits from the city or the county. But I'm curious about the location—who actually decides where this happens? Do we get to pick the spot ourselves, or do they tell us where we're allowed to be?

I’ve got my Maggie Sottero gown all set at a Lisin boutique in a small town in the Midwest

Which one? Got a photo?
I’ve heard from a few girls that their dresses look stunning in photos but totally fall flat in person. I actually really love their stuff, though, so I’m curious if anyone else has had a different experience. I’ll dig up some of my favorites and post them here.

I have to admit, I was actually pleasantly surprised! Since I’m a bit more curvy, I was honestly terrified I wouldn't find anything that fits, but boy, was I wrong. You know your own body best, though—not everyone can pull off a certain look. I definitely don't have that tiny Barbie frame; I've got curves in all the right places, you know? You should really go try on some dresses yourself to see what works for you. Anyway, here’s a photo of my dress! This one has black embroidery, but mine actually has silver details instead.

I went with something super simple because I'm not big on busy patterns or extra details, but it cinches my waist perfectly. Now, I'd love to hear what you think!

I actually went ahead and placed my deposit for my wedding dress with Lisa, though I had to do it all the way out in Indianapolis because since orders start rolling in on July 1st, you can't just find these specific styles sitting on a rack in a local boutique, so I had to order directly from the manufacturer to ensure it was brand new for my big day.
It should be arriving late November or early December, which will be my first chance to actually try it on, but I did test out two similar styles before making the final call. I am truly hoping it looks just as stunning in person as it does in the catalog pictures.😍

Hey Gary Evans8, she looks stunning. I just hope she's actually comfortable 😁
I think I already mentioned this in the wedding dress thread. It’s nice to look at gowns like that, but I have zero interest in wearing wires and crinolines myself. How much did you end up paying? You can just shoot me a DM 😍
