Hey everyone, I really need some advice here!
I’ve been obsessing over wedding arrangements and my dream >, and honestly, I think I’m leaning heavily toward alstroemeria. The problem is, I have zero clue what actually looks good with them. I was thinking maybe some tiny spray roses or carnations, but since I don't have many photos to look at, I'm having a hard time picturing how it would all come together—you know how it is when you can't quite see the vision in your head.
If any of you ladies actually used alstroemeria in your wedding arrangements, please, please drop some photos below!
Oh, and one more thing—are these things going to break the bank? Is the pricing crazy?

placidsurfer15, you might want to check out the Bouquet thread too.
There’s one bouquet here featuring alstroemeria (it's the second one in the row) and it lists what they were paired with. You can also see them right here http://www.cvjecaralivia.com/shop/pr...roducts_id=412
I actually had some myself once, and they were mixed with roses along with various field grasses and thistles 😍 the photo is over in the Bouquets and Boutonnières gallery on page 44 (my computer is being a bit finicky, so I can't grab the direct link for you)

Hey everyone!
Well, we have finally started the planning process for this big event. We’ve already locked in the venue—it's going to be at the Patriot Hotel in White Plains. It's a bit of a drive from Indianapolis, but honestly, it’s not a dealbreaker.
As far as the other details go, we found some invitations and thank-you notes that we really love (on that "ada" site), but I'm still a bit hazy on the final cost and how the ordering process actually works.
Now we’re down to the "little things"—the photographer, the videographer, and the music. For the photo and video side of things, I want someone edgy; people with actual personality and a ton of creative ideas. I absolutely cannot stand those staged shots where everyone is grinning like they just bit into a lemon. I checked out that Leon production crew and their work is incredible, but frankly, it feels like a massive stretch to drop $3333 just on that. Does anyone know where I can find something with a similar vibe but without the premium price tag? Regarding the music, my partner is suggesting the Players from SB. Has anyone here actually hired them? What’s their style like? Just to be clear, I am not interested in any country wedding acts under any circumstances.
I’ve been reading about the itd band on here—does anyone happen to have their contact info or an idea of what they charge?

I was just at my cousin's wedding two weeks ago—the Players were performing 😁

To be honest, I wouldn't say the guys are bad, but they just weren't my style. They supposedly play folk music too, though thank God we didn't have to deal with that here. While we were over at the bride's place, the Players played very quietly and, in my opinion, poorly; there are plenty of much better bluegrass bands out there. Once we moved to the reception hall, however, they really stepped it up and there were several things I actually enjoyed. For instance, they barely took any breaks and kept the energy high all night long. Plus, the singer did a great job managing the flow of the evening—when guests arrived, he called the best man and maid of honor to the dance floor and introduced them by name. Later on, they played "You Are in My Blood" and invited everyone to gather around the newlyweds on the floor. It was quite romantic...
What I didn't like was the setlist. They started off with some Memphis blues, which is a classic, but once they transitioned into Suad, and then went a bit overboard with Fahreta 😬 and that Haris Đinović fellow 🙈—well, my partner and I decided to head out. It was getting late and there wasn't much reason to stick around the dance floor, so 👎... though I assume the repertoire can be customized...

Greetings, everyone. I am likely looking at a September wedding next year, so I am reaching out to see if anyone could offer some guidance regarding music and photography. As far as the vibe goes, we are searching for something grounded in traditional Americana—think folk ensembles, classic country tunes, and perhaps a few soulful Southern ballads. We aren't particularly well-versed in the local band scene, so any solid recommendations would be greatly appreciated by both myself and my future wife. Thanks.

I've no idea where you're coming from, but if I were picking a band, I’d be putting my money on the harvesters out of White Plains near Indianapolis; those guys are absolute legends who'll keep the floor moving all night long, especially since they bring their own opening act along with them, so there's your recommendation!

I'd definitely suggest checking out SAX from Vinkovci

Hey girls, does anyone know if the TACA SPOSA bridal boutique in Vinkovci—the one right across from Stefan's—actually carries wedding dresses? Based on the name, I’d say they definitely do...

🙂 The ITD Band is great! Nothing but praise for them👍. They played over by the yacht club near the pier there by the marina. I can't remember exactly right now, but just give them a call and ask if you can hear them live somewhere... 🙂 You can find their number on my blog.😉 Good luck!🙂

The Krijan band plays at my place, and honestly, they’re fantastic. Their only real downtime is during dinner; otherwise, they play right through until dawn. I’ve been to about ten weddings where they were the ones performing, and they haven't let me down once. I'm completely sold on them.👍👍

I’m starting to spiral a bit regarding the band. My family can't seem to get on the same page about the playlist, so I find myself in desperate need of someone truly versatile who can handle just about any genre...😁
Everything else is moving at a snail's pace, even though the clock is absolutely racing against us...
Midwest folks—please, hit me with some solid recommendations for wedding cakes, hair stylists, makeup artists, and florists...

The cakes they make at Vigus (over in Indianapolis and Vinkovci...) are honestly stunning.

Everyone says they are, though I haven’t actually tried them myself since I usually end up stuffing my face with something more substantial before even getting to the cake or dessert stage... but apparently, everyone was caught off guard because while those trendy wedding cakes are typically stunning to look at, they rarely taste that good, yet these were actually delicious. My only real thought is that they're a bit on the pricey side, so you're probably better off just heading down there and asking around to see what the deal is.

Joseph Kelly45, when it comes to makeup artists, our resident expert here is Ivy—definitely reach out to her. I was absolutely thrilled with her work. You could also try checking around local department stores.
As for flowers, we used to get ours from Aunt Biljana at the farmer's market; we were so impressed with her creativity and how reasonable her prices were. There's also Fantasia downtown that does beautiful work, plus they have alstroemeria and palms from the Midwest area. If you scroll through this thread, I’m sure you’ll stumble upon plenty of other contacts.
I had my hair done at my usual hair salon.
Regarding photographers and videographers, we couldn't have been happier. They used to go by Photo Papa, but now they've struck out on their own as Infinity Studio. Anic from White Plains is also a solid choice.
Our cake was made by Mrs. Spomenka, who taught at the local culinary school. It was stunningly beautiful and tasted delicious.
I hope this helps!

Hey there,

Does anyone have any firsthand experience with the Brođanka restaurant? The space looks pretty decent to me—I like the vibe—but I’m really on the fence about whether the food and service actually live up to the look. If anyone has been there and could share some honest thoughts, it would be a huge help. Thanks! 🙂

velvetjackal752, I really appreciate you, 🙂
Listen, would you mind sending me a DM with the contact info for the photographer and the florist? Please... and if it’s not too much trouble, let me know what they charged.

Can anyone point me toward where that Infinity Studio is located in Indianapolis? I’m also looking for some info on their pricing or maybe a contact number if anyone has it. Please, please, please!

Regarding the wedding cake, we picked ours up from a bakery in Vegas, specifically in Indianapolis, and we couldn't have been happier. My mother has incredibly high standards when it comes to desserts—she absolutely detests store-bought pastries because they're usually just loaded with margarine and sugar and lack any real flavor. Honestly, I tend to agree with her most of the time; too often you buy a dessert only to realize it's nothing but artificial fats and gritty sugar. But at this place in Vegas, based on a recommendation, everything was a perfect 5 out of 5. They let you negotiate every single tiny detail, and we didn't even have to pay for the cake until after the wedding was over.
As for the bite-sized treats, we ordered those from a woman who runs a private catering business out of her home. Same story: completely satisfied with both the quality and the price. If anyone needs specific details or contact info, just shoot me a DM.

Hey everyone, I was wondering what kind of cake you all ended up choosing for your wedding? I'm particularly curious to hear from those of you who went with fondant...
