Smith and Muffin everything’s fine. No hard feelings here. We're all just trying to help each other out, right? 😍
Don't sweat it. Just relax and enjoy yourselves. I'm sure everything will work out exactly how you planned. As for the rest of us, we'll just have to hunt down some venue that isn't outrageously overpriced like most places in the city. 👎👎👎

Anyone heard anything about that hall near the downtown campus, right above the student union cafeteria? A lawyer friend mentioned an acquaintance held a wedding there maybe six or seven months back—around 300 guests, give or take five. Just wondering if anyone actually knows anything about the place.

Anyone know anything about the classic hall? I'm trying to get the lay of the land—what are we looking at for pricing, what’s the food situation like, and how do they handle drinks? Do they bring their own staff or am I going to have to hire outside servers? Also, can they do leftovers or prep lunch for the next day? Anything you can tell me helps. 😉

I am actually quite certain that such a specific venue doesn't exist under that name! If I had to guess, I believe people are likely referring to the general space managed by the Student Union itself. I am certainly aware that weddings are hosted there, and honestly, the rental fees are incredibly budget-friendly—definitely much more affordable than any of the other banquet halls in the surrounding area...

Does anyone happen to have any information regarding the photographer John Doe?

Is the guy originally from somewhere like St. Louis or what?
Does anyone know anything about the Classic banquet hall? I'm wondering about their pricing, the menu options, and how they handle drinks. Also, do they provide their own staff, or should we look for our own servers? And do they offer catering for leftovers the next day? Please share whatever you know! 😉[/QUOTE

They actually have their own catering team and chefs (who are honestly fantastic!), though I think you can always bring in outside help if you really wanted to. As for the cost, you can pay per person, which is easy, or if you want to save some serious cash, you can opt to buy all the ingredients yourself. If you go that route, the chef will just give you a detailed shopping list based on your guest count so you know exactly what to grab at the grocery store. 🙂
All I know is the room holds about 400 people, and a basic menu runs roughly $63—I gave them a ring the other day. I'm looking at about 230 guests, so I'm a little worried it might look kinda empty in a space that big, though the owner mentioned he's done smaller crowds before. Honestly, I didn't dig too deep because the price tag felt way too steep for my budget, but if you want the number, I can shoot you a DM

Can anyone point me toward a decent bridal boutique that isn't in St. Louis? I’m looking to branch out since the prices around here are absolutely insane—I honestly have no clue what the standard rate even is anymore. I actually really dig Isabelle over on Republic Avenue; they carry that Sposin collection, so if anyone knows of somewhere else with a similar vibe, please let me know!

You could try Isabelle too... maybe you'll find something more affordable there. There's also Mireya; they carry Sposin dresses. Honestly, there are plenty of other boutiques with various styles, but their prices are generally lower than at OS.

I’ve heard through the grapevine that wedding dresses are way cheaper if you head out toward the Midwest or places like Indianapolis... though honestly, I don't have a specific shop in mind. If you haven't already, take a look at this link:

Well, there is a bridal shop over in a city like Memphis... I can't recall the exact name, but it's right by the hotel parking lot near the Mississippi River. From what I've heard through the grapevine, they carry brands like M. Sottero and things along those lines, and apparently, the prices are quite reasonable. I haven't actually stepped foot inside yet—I've only peered through the window a couple of times—but I didn't see anything that particularly caught my eye personally... Still, it might be worth a look! Honestly, you could check out the shops in Indianapolis or even head over to Memphis on Long Street, though I suspect the price difference might be negligible anyway...

Morgan Stewart50, where did you end up renting yours?

Now, correct me if I’m wrong here—I think Cibalia Photography has a shop somewhere over near Glagoljaska in Indianapolis or somewhere close by, right? Honestly, whatever they had out in the window didn't do much for me—though that might just be the result of looking at way too many photos online, both local and international 🤣.

In the Indianapolis area, if you ask me, Cibalia Photography gives you the best bang for your buck.

Honestly, every time I drive past, I just have to stop and stare—🙂 Nikolin,
you never know when there might be something actually pretty in the window.

If you head over to Kansas City and check out Lisa’s boutique, you can find dresses ranging from $567 up to $4,500. Honestly, I haven't a clue what those $1,700 ones look like, but once you hit the $3,000 mark and up, you can find some seriously stunning pieces. They carry Maggie Sottero, and I think they're getting a new collection in about five months. Nikolina’s has pretty much the same price range, though they mostly stock ballgown styles with heavy crinoline. But hey, since you specifically mentioned wanting that SPOSIN vibe, the selection at Lisa's might actually suit your taste better.

Oh, right, that place is right across from the police station! And as for unknown... what kind of rates are we talking about? I’ve heard whispers that their service has gone downhill lately. Also, does anyone have any insight on County Focus? Has anyone actually used them?

An acquaintance of mine dropped about 5,000 or 5,500 on them—so, compared to what I’ve seen from someone like Miller (though, honestly, I haven't checked his recent work in months)—they didn't exactly lose out on value. But hey, that’s just my two cents; I'm sure someone else might see it differently.

Honestly, I’m at a bit of a loss here. I actually had a photographer over at Best Buy suggest him because their usual crew was fully booked up... and Smart does such an incredible job. So, I really don't know where I stand on this one yet.

I haven't actually had a chance to test out how their photo features work yet, but man—if I'm going to be picking one, choosing between them is going to be a nightmare. Quality is such a huge deal for me, so I can't just wing it,
