Hi there... I was wondering where everyone usually goes for jewelry in Indianapolis? And what kind of price ranges are we looking at these days?

The real question is... how did you guys even track those down?

Look, that part is actually pretty simple,
just find a local coffee shop you hit up all the time and ask them to stash those bottles for you
or, if you've got a buddy working as a server somewhere, just tell them to grab them for you.👍

So, what kind of pens are you planning to use for this... I was actually thinking about doing something similar with those glass outliners—you know, the ones that give it that raised texture? I kept thinking about just writing on them by hand, but then I realized I just can't get the colors right without the proper tools...
I don't know, maybe it's just me—but that seems pretty pricey for such a tiny little tube... like, $25? That feels a bit steep...$9.00Honestly, I have this feeling that one single tube isn't going to last more than just a few bottles... 🙄
Are you thinking about trying out a different medium for your drawing—maybe something else entirely? And I was also wondering... do you have any idea how much time you think that might take you?🤷
So, where on earth are you going to find a hat like that... I haven't seen anything like it anywhere! It’s actually such a cool look...😍

I'll be doing the outlining myself—and trust me, I know my way around a contour pen—but if you're just sticking to names and dates, you can probably get about 30 bottles out of a single tube/bottle.

😍 Oh man, this is such great news... thanks, rapidfox42
I was honestly sitting here wondering just how much I'd need to get everything ready...
But now? I can finally breathe easy....☕
My plan was to set up a little production line for my homemade bourbon, bitters, and spiced liqueurs...
So I’m looking at needing roughly 80 bottles or so🤷

The only thing is, I have no clue how I'll seal them all up... where can I actually find those corks, caps, or toppers around here?

I’m planning to have a local artisan make some custom mini hats, and I was thinking about decorating small glass bottles with glass paints. My idea is to buy those little squeeze tubes to write the names and dates on them.
The thing is, I’d need to grab 9 of those individual tubes to get the job done.😁

Why only nine bottles... You’re definitely going to have a massive crowd coming through...
How many people are we talking about here?! If you don't mind me asking—I mean, how many tables will there be?
My thought process was just one small bottle of bourbon, one wormwood liqueur, and one Jägermeister per table... so, three bottles per table total...
And which city is the wedding in? Is it somewhere in the suburbs or... wait, you and I actually have the exact same date!😍

We’re all getting pretty close to the date 🙂
Mine is 09.25.

I know they have those round studs—they look like big pearls—over at the Walmart in Indianapolis. They’ve got blue, gold, silver, and clear ones... plus cork too. No clue on the prices though.

I was thinking about just grabbing the cork ones since they're probably cheaper than the fancy pearl things, then maybe spray-painting them gold and tying a little purple bow on them.

What do you guys think?

mmm, that sounds amazing—we’ll all be getting ready together and counting down the days...
only 7 months left 😍
the way you described it is just so sweet... definitely go for it, I think it'll turn out great... 😉
now I'm actually thinking about grabbing those cork ones too—they seem even better than the standard stoppers 👍
I just wonder, what are you planning to seal them with? (sorry, I feel like I'm always asking questions!) 🤣

I’m planning on having about 200 traditional hats ready
I have 60 tables set up, so I definitely need extras in case someone finishes their little bottle and needs a refill
The servers won't be grabbing stuff from the neighboring tables
I need enough supplies at my station and at my partner's, so it's much better to overprepare than to run short
In Chicago, we're expecting a huge wedding party, and I'll have roughly 500 guests attending
That is sooo many people
How many of us are confirmed for September 18th?
😁

Since this thread is all about weddings in the Midwest, I have a quick question for you all.
Has anyone ever heard of a makeup artist named Nicole? I’ve been hearing rumors that Jane Marijanovic (I might have the name slightly off) actually trained under her,
but apparently, Nicole ended up taking some maternity leave, which caused a huge surge of clients to head over to Jane instead.
Does anyone happen to have any insight on this?

help!!! does anyone know where I can rent a limo in Chicago or somewhere nearby? I checked out those luxury rentals over by the suburbs, but they’re way out of my budget. I was wondering if there are any other options out there? I heard someone in the outskirts offers wedding limo services too. Also, quick question—does anyone know where I can book a light show? Ideally, I'd rather not go through a big production company like Disney because they're just too expensive. Thanks in advance for the help!!!🙂

I know there's a white limo available for rent in Indianapolis, but I'm not sure about the price. I can look into it for you if you want.

As for the light show, I know a guy from the Midwest who does it for maybe $1,500 up to $0.67. Not sure what his setup looks like, though. You might find him on Craigslist—just check the ads there!

I found some acrylic paints (I'm leaning toward gold) that aren't too pricey ($10 per bottle), so I'll try those.

But I'm probably just going to paint the part that sticks out when the bottle is capped—I have no clue 🤷 how it would look if I painted the whole thing. I'm worried the Alcohol might melt the paint right off.

The other option is using automotive spray paint. It's all still just a plan, but since I want gold and purple, I'll definitely end up with something like that.

I'll let you guys know how it works once I give it a shot.

hey ladies!
Just joined the group and hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.
Does anyone know where I can snag those floating candles? Ideally looking for a bulk pack or something... need quite a few.
I swung by Vegas earlier, but honestly, it was kind of a letdown.

Thanks for getting back to me!!! If you don't mind, could you please check on that limo and let me know? Only if it's not too much trouble!!😉

Maybe give Isabelle's Salon a shot. Their website says they carry it...

Check out an outfit called "Paraffin Products"—they're based over in Green Field and specialize in making candles.
