For me, it’s been closer to six months. I have days where my anxiety hits hard, but lately, I’ve just been feeling physically wiped out. I honestly think it’s the medication doing that to me, so I’m thinking it might be time to say goodbye to it.

Greetings, everyone.
I find myself in a bit of a predicament. Roughly two months ago, I made the decision to discontinue my treatment with Luxete, as it felt as though it was systematically dismantling every aspect of my well-being.
After allowing for a two-month hiatus to attempt some semblance of stabilization, I have recently been prescribed an alternative, Citram.
However, upon reviewing the clinical descriptions provided in the patient information leaflet, I am struck by a rather unsettling realization: the listed side effects appear to be identical to those caused by that wretched Luxete.😢
I suppose I am reaching out to see if anyone here has experience with this particular medication. Is this simply the same chemical entity masquerading under a different name, or is there any genuine difference between them?

What kind of side effects were you getting from Luxete? I just started taking Zoloft six days ago and I feel absolutely miserable...

I've been on Citra for about a year and a half now and everything has been fine so far; I didn't deal with any side effects at all when I first started.

Wish me luck, I suppose. 😁
I honestly don't think I have the stomach to relive what Luxottica put me through...

For me, Citram really started kicking in after about two months. Honestly, I didn't experience a single one of those side effects they warn you about. I was terrified of everything, but nothing actually happened.
Fingers crossed! 👍

Has anyone here tried Fevarin? I'd love to hear about your experiences with it. 🕺
It worked wonders for me—though I was absolutely knocked out for those first few days since it's an anti-anxiety med—but after that, everything settled down perfectly. I ended up staying on it for about four years, I think.🙂

My doctor did mention that the effects tend to linger, usually taking about two or three weeks to fully stabilize
In my experience, Luxet feels a bit too aggressive; it seems to hit quite hard even if I try to break the tablet into smaller doses
I was actually pinning my hopes on February, since I had my EEG and saw the neurologist—she wanted to prescribe me Normabrel, but I'm strictly sticking to the Rivotril she provided😢
Though, if I'm being honest, my primary concern is finding something to lift my mood, as I feel I've sunk a bit too deep into this funk...

Here is my personal take on this whole pharmaceutical mess;
Over the last three years, they’ve cycled me through just about everything under the sun. From Prozac to Paxil—which I’m actually back on right now... though it was useless before, so let's see if it magically works this time?!—to Escitalopram and Valdoxan... the whole lot is garbage.
Then there’s Zyprexa, which I’m convinced wrecked me just as much as Depakote did....
Valium was a complete disaster. Clonazepam helped at first, sure, but eventually, it just made things worse.
And don't even get me started on Ativan; you get hooked on that before you know it. Right now, I’m using Xanax, which provides the tiniest bit of relief when things hit rock bottom. Not to mention those damn Klonopins that grab hold of you in a week, or the Apaches... or Ativan... everything seems somewhat effective initially, but they are nothing but traps! 😢 I can’t even remember all the other junk I’ve been forced to swallow, some kind of Opioid for sleep... absolute nightmare...
Ultimately, my conclusion is this: it’s all total crap!!!!! But unfortunately, we often lack the strength to pull ourselves out of the hole alone, through sheer "willpower," as people say... so we end up taking these "medications" which, judging by your experiences here, affect everyone differently anyway. Big Pharma is making a killing while they supposedly "treat" us, even as they make us sicker. It's a vicious cycle. They help here, they hurt there.
I’ve tried various alternative and natural routes too... homeopathy, for instance... but sadly, it didn't do much for me. So, there it is.
I feel hopeless, and I honestly don't know what the next step is. I'm struggling with a combination of depression, autoimmune issues, anxiety... and so on and so forth....
Wishing you all the very best of luck in finding a cure!!!!!

Hi. I’ve been on Cipralex for two months now. After some initial side effects, things actually started looking up, but now I'm hitting another slump. My mouth feels dry, my jaw keeps twitching, and my lip has gone numb. I had a thirty-minute consultation with my doctor recently, and we decided to cut my dose in half. I'll stick with this for three weeks to see how it goes. Lately, I've also been dealing with dizziness. I am starting psychotherapy as well; we are slowly pulling these damn demons out of me one by one. This anxiety is brutal.

I'm on Adderall. Everything seems fine, but I’ve noticed my skin suddenly breaking out—something I’ve never dealt with before. To be fair, work has been incredibly stressful lately, and I’ve started working out more, so I’m sweating a lot. Could there be a connection to the AD? Is it possible my liver just can't process everything fast enough, causing breakouts?

I finally managed to get myself off Ambien.
Honestly, I thought it was going to be impossible, but I actually did it.
I used to take 10 mg of Ambien.
My doctor told me they wouldn't prescribe it anymore because I’d been using it way too long—apparently, the new rules say you can only get it for maybe two or three weeks max.
So, I started cutting my dose in half to 5 mg and took some 0.25 mg Valium along with it for a week.
After that, I dropped down to just a quarter pill of Ambien and kept taking the Valium for another week.
Then I moved on to just taking the Valium. Now? I'm not even touching that anymore.
I'm just sticking to my regular prescribed meds now.
Anyway, I just wanted to reach out and encourage anyone else here who's trying to kick Ambien. Just wanted to say that it really is possible.
How many years had you been using Ambien? I would give anything to follow in your footsteps; I've been relying on it for years now and still can't seem to fall asleep without it.

Urgent: I’ve got a fever, the flu, and maybe some stomach bug too. At 7:00 AM, on an empty stomach (I know, I shouldn't have), I took 25 mg of Seroquel and 250 mg of Depakote (my usual timing, though actually a little later because I was exhausted). Then at 7:30, I threw up. Did those meds actually absorb, or did they just come right back up? Should I take them again, or were they partially absorbed?
And look, I'm starving, but everything makes me nauseous, and I was supposed to take my Normabel and more Depakote by now.

Look, here are the numbers for the local urgent care centers—you can also call the psychiatric wards if you need someone to talk to right away.

Starting my taper off amozyl this weekend. Right now I'm at four tablets every night, and the plan is to drop one pill per week (which is basically how I scaled up originally, adding one tablet each week). I know most antidepressants allow for a slower taper, but you just can't—and shouldn't—cold turkey amozyl. Honestly, I’m second-guessing myself already. Is dropping one a week going to be too much of a shock to the system? Should I maybe play it safer and only drop a pill every two weeks instead? Or should I stick to the seven-day window? Any advice would be huge.

Day 12 on Zoloft. Honestly? It’s just getting worse by the hour. My psychiatrist is basically telling me to white-knuckle it for at least three weeks to see if anything sticks. But seriously... is it actually possible for this stuff to do absolutely nothing at all yet?!

It’s totally possible. Seriously, listen to your doctor. Twelve days is basically nothing when you're waiting for these things to kick in.
I'm not sure which anxiolytic you're taking or what your specific limit is while pregnant, but that might help bridge the gap until the antidepressant starts doing its thing.
Just follow your medical team's lead—managing anxiety and depression during pregnancy is a whole different ballgame. People on this forum can try to help, obviously, but we can't give you the full picture because of your situation.
Also, just keep in mind that it's not just about the anxiety; you've got those pregnancy hormones throwing everything out of whack, too!
Hang in there—it'll get better once the medication settles in. Don't stress over the exact timeline; just trust that it's working. You've got this! Good luck! 👍
