For now, I'm just the aunt who buys all the gifts! 🤣🤣

And that last part you wrote was absolutely beautiful!!! 🙂

Wait, you can't be with him? I can't quite remember what you wrote earlier about where things stand...
Was it 3 months straight at home? Or 3 months total?

Either way, it sucks.

It works on Azure, but he’s nowhere to be found for four to ten months over the summer... then during the winter, he pops up for two weeks every month and a half... how am I supposed to make a baby like that...😕
My crazy gynecologist actually told me to quit...🤣

Sometimes, you get just one single minute that actually matters. Just one. It’s all anyone really gets, I guess. Depends on how life hands out its cards, doesn't it? How it's destined to play out for each of us.
It’ll happen eventually... or maybe it won't. Who really knows? We're all just sitting here waiting for the inevitable, aren't we? Just a matter of time.

So, I was expecting that delivery yesterday. Nothing. Zilch. Just total radio silence. Now, naturally, this thing is going to show up right when I’m trying to head out for my shift tomorrow morning, or maybe it'll decide to rattle around in the middle of the night. Because why wouldn't it? It’s always like that. And honestly, what am I supposed to do? I can't exactly be wandering off for a bathroom break in the middle of a commute. Brrr... it's freezing out there.
God, I hate this...

Well, if nothing else, at least we'll be colored the same...🤣😉

My period was supposed to arrive on November 16th, but I ended up taking a test on the 21st and it came back negative. Despite that, my period still hasn't shown up. What are the odds that the test actually gave me a false negative?
Based on my first pregnancy, I know things usually show up as a positive right away. That said, I’ve been completely exhausted lately, barely getting any sleep, and feeling pretty high-strung—which tends to throw my cycle off. But it feels strange for it to be seven days late without any of the usual signs that my period is coming. I can't help but wonder if the test was just a fluke, which is the last thing I want to hear since we aren't looking to expand the family just yet.

Hey... honestly, I’m only posting here to stop myself from trekking down to the CVS for a test... (it’s literally a block away from my office 🤣).
After three years of trying, and finally getting a spontaneous pregnancy this past April, I am completely drained by the constant waiting and obsessing... yet, here I am, still listening for every little sign. About two days after ovulation, I’m basically a detective—checking my breasts for veins, sniffing the air to see if smells seem stronger... God help me 🤦
Now I’m four days late. No heightened sense of smell, no weird tastes (though I haven't had any cravings for chocolate, which is weird because usually, during PMS, I need a bucket of it at my feet), just some mild bloating and that feeling like my period should have arrived last Monday. Also, since then, my nipples have been incredibly sensitive and sore. It’s brutal. I keep running to the bathroom to check if I've leaked anything, but it’s just a tiny yellow trace on my underwear... Plus, over the weekend, I felt like I was running a slight fever—I was constantly shivering even with the heater cranked up, though I didn't actually take my temperature (praying it isn't the flu)😳
But honestly, it felt exactly like this before too. I used to blow through $33 on Clearblue tests and whatnot, and it was a total waste of money
Not this time. I'm holding out. But man, I just want to know... where is all that patience when you actually need it?!!!!! 😵

During my first pregnancy, I noticed a significant increase in white discharge, and since she actually beat me to the punch and got pregnant just before I did, I’m fairly certain she asked if I’d noticed any changes in my discharge—telling me that if I had, it was a dead giveaway that I was pregnant. I also developed those dark circles around my nipples, which was another unmistakable sign, and then the pregnancy test came back positive.
Of course, we aren't all cut from the same cloth.
As for me now, my period is late, but the test is showing a negative. Honestly, I’m praying it stays negative, because the suspense of waiting for my period to finally show up is driving me absolutely insane.

My breasts have started to feel tender whenever they are touched. I haven't started my period yet, and I am struggling to decide whether to take another pregnancy test; I am terrified that I will somehow mess up the process again. My supply of tests is nearly exhausted, even though I feel so incredibly bloated. Today marks the eighth day since my period was due, and I find myself counting 🙏 every single day, praying for the sake of the little one.

Just buy a basic one; there isn't much room for error. 😉
I stuck exclusively to First Response (which carries a higher price tag, $20), as you can use them at any hour, provided you don't overhydrate beforehand. It is highly probable that other brands follow a nearly identical protocol.

I am feeling truly disheartened right now. I reached out to my OB-GYN, and my sister, who works there, informed me that even though I am technically early, there is absolutely no point in doing an alpha test yet. Apparently, they insist on following such rigid protocols that I have to wait until I’ve missed my period for an entire month before they will even consider an alpha. I am going to go pick up a test myself to take in the morning, and I will update you all once I have the results. Honestly, I am just so disappointed and bitter toward these doctors; it feels as though they simply do not care about anything. Even if I were to walk in with a positive result, I suspect the doctor would just claim it isn't possible. It is truly shameful how they operate and the way they conduct their practice.😠😠😠😠

If you want to bypass the wait, you could always head to a private lab like Quest Diagnostics and pay out of pocket for an alpha test whenever you feel ready.

Hey
So I picked up a test... ran it and 😕😕😕

The control line popped up right where it should, but the test line is just this faint little sliver hugging the edge of the strip, running parallel to the control... kind of like this: I I except the test line isn't actually in its lane...

Anyone dealt with this before?🙏

Keith Nguyen9 said:I am in no rush at all; rather, I find myself in a state of eager anticipation, hoping for positive news. I have already consulted with my OB-GYN, and everything appears to be perfectly fine from a medical standpoint, though nothing can be visually confirmed regarding the pregnancy just yet. My period is also late. In my view, expectant mothers should be met with support and encouragement rather than being discouraged. When one encounters posts like this, it makes it incredibly difficult to remain optimistic, and quite frankly, it causes me to lose hope.😢

Look, I didn't mean to discourage you. It’s just that the more you obsess over it, the harder the crash is going to feel if it doesn't work out..
I've been there myself, which is why I'm telling you this...
I'm rooting for you and crossing my fingers for a positive test!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve decided not to take another test since I haven't seen any results yet enough to make a call.🙏I plan on waiting until Monday before heading to see my doctor; there is little point in wasting money on more tests when those funds could be better spent providing for my little ones. Is it not better to be certain? Lately, I have been overwhelmed by constant fatigue, frequent trips to the bathroom, restless nights, and even some toothaches.😠Additionally, I am experiencing pelvic pressure and a persistent sense of hunger.

I finally reached my breaking point and bought an Intim Plus test, but the result was negative.😕I am doing fine, truly, though I feel compelled to head down to the pharmacy, feeling utterly defeated because I know this test gave me the right answer. How can I explain to her how terrible I feel when the tears just won't stop?

Is it possible that the test result was inaccurate simply because my doctor calculated my pregnancy at three weeks and three days? Could that timing be the reason why the test came back negative? Hope refuses to die until the moment I see that dreaded little line—which, quite frankly, I despise right now—and I am praying to God that it never appears and instead shows a positive result. Please, forgive my rambling; I know you all understand this struggle all too well, and I feel even more overwhelmed since I am relatively young despite already having two children. During my previous pregnancies, I didn't experience any symptoms whatsoever, aside from a single bout of vomiting and, of course, the absence of that dreaded line.

Here is a brief anecdote from one of our forum members, illustrating how things can indeed go sideways. I personally refer to my child as my little David Copperfield. I have shared this before, but the reality is that my pregnancy was delayed by about three months; during that entire window, not a single one of the four doctors I consulted even realized I was pregnant. Every single test I performed—at least twice a week, ranging from the most expensive brands to the cheapest drugstore options, and even the clinical tests at the local clinic—came back negative. It wasn't until my favorite physician finally confirmed the pregnancy that I realized I was already thirteen weeks along. Since that experience, I have no intention of ever buying another test again.

I neglected to mention one detail. Nearly an hour after completing the test, I decided to take another look at it, only to notice yet another line that appears slightly more distinct than the others. What could this potentially signify? I would appreciate everyone's insight on this matter.

How late are we talking? And did you use that first morning sample? Usually, people say results after the 10-minute mark don't count—those lines that pop up later—but a coworker of mine had the exact same thing happen to her. She retested two days later and it was a solid positive. Honestly, I haven't had much luck with Clearblue tests in the past... and regarding what you said about your first pregnancy... I'm not really sure what to tell you. You know your body better than anyone else does. Maybe just hang tight for another day or two and then try again. If your first pregnancy went smoothly, maybe this one will too. I don't want to give you any false hope, but I'm crossing my fingers for you.😉
