Keith Nguyen9 said:Hello again, if you will permit me to bother you all once more. I am keeping a careful tally of the days, and as of today, my period is eleven days late. I find myself wondering: is it possible for a primary care physician to issue a referral for routine blood work related to pregnancy, or perhaps even a more specific referral for a HCG test? I thank you all for your patience, as I know my constant questioning can be quite a burden.πŸ™‚thank you everyone

I doubt it's possible; my doctor refuses to authorize anything remotely related to pregnancy, insisting that only an OB-GYN handles those specific referrals.

I'm new hereβ€”just joined the group and have a few things on my mind.
So, I'm about 9 days late. I'm planning to grab a test this Monday, then we'll see where things go...🀷
Lately, from when I expected my period until just a couple of days ago, I've had those familiar lower abdominal crampsβ€”you know, the kind right before your cycle starts. I've also been feeling a bit dizzy and slightly nauseous, though honestly, I might just be overthinking it.😁
I've also been exhausted lately. I feel like I could sleep all day, but I've always been a bit of a sleeper anyway, so I haven't taken it too seriously.πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
One weird thing, thoughβ€”I'm hitting the bathroom constantly. It feels like I need to go every thirty minutes to an hour, and once that urge hits, it's pretty intense...
I'm really not sure what to make of it all. My breasts also feel strangely tender and sore every now and then...
Any advice?πŸ˜•

I am honestly not sure what you are asking.🀷
You can buy a test right now and get an answer immediately; strictly speaking, yes, pregnancy is a possibility.

Thank you, Jacob White37. I have just finished reading your response. I attempted to call, but I haven't had any luck getting through. Now, I am starting to feel some pain in my lower right back, though I cannot be certain of the causeβ€”after all, what can one truly expect when calling a doctor's office? Perhaps things will subside by the time her order arrives on December 10th. Today marks the eleventh day since my period was due πŸ™πŸ€·You likely believe I am losing my mind, counting these days so meticulously, but I refuse to let the final glimmer of hope fade away.πŸ™‚

Have you considered taking another test? It is entirely possible that when you ran the first one, it was simply a bit too early to catch anything.

Just picked up a test!!
Does it actually matter if I take it right now, or should I wait until tomorrow morning?

The instructions on the box will likely tell you; for some brands, timing is critical, while for others, like Clearblue, it isn't. Good luck. πŸ™‚

Well, since you're already nine days late, doing it now should be fine... though maybe try to hold off on drinking anything or using the restroom for an hour or two first so the sample is concentrated enough.

Or, honestly, just play it safe and wait until the morning.

Fingers crossed for you! πŸ‘

George Richardson9 said:Well, here I am again today, dealing with these lingering symptoms that make me feel as though everything is nearly settled, yet there remains this persistent, brownish spotting that just won't quit... I actually reached out to my doctor, but they didn't bother scheduling me for an appointment until Thursday... I have this nagging intuition, this deep-seated feeling that I might actually be pregnant, even though everyone around me insists I'm just being paranoid... My breasts and areolas seem to have enlarged somewhat lately, too... I honestly don't know what to make of any of this anymore... Furthermore, I find the timing of it all quite baffling; the bleeding lasted only three days and was incredibly light, with the exception of that first day when it was more of a mucousy consistency... Has anyone else out there navigated a similar experience? Thank you.😒😒😒😒😒

Look, if you're sitting there second-guessing everything, just go buy a test and take it; it'll settle all these dilemmas once and for all.
In my own experience, I used to find myself spiraling into these little fantasies, imagining symptoms that weren't really there after having very short cycles, but my physician eventually explained that it was likely just a hormonal imbalance. Apparently, the uterine lining hadn't thickened as much as it should have, which would explain why the bleeding felt so much lighter than usual.

I have ceased performing pregnancy tests following those two negative results, yet my appetite has diminished significantly; I am currently managing only two meals a day as the very thought of food becomes nauseating. I had to force myself to eat some chicken nuggets this evening just to get something down. Additionally, I am experiencing some sharp, stabbing pains and a general sense of lethargy.

Well, if your doctor won't give you a referral, you can always just head over to a private clinic like Mayo Clinic to get things checked out on your own dime. My godmother dealt with all sorts of hormonal imbalances where her cycle would just vanish for two or three months at a time despite not being pregnant; there are so many different things it could potentially be.

It’ll happen eventually... or maybe it won't. Who really knows? We're all just sitting here waiting for the inevitable, aren't we? Just a matter of time.

So, I was expecting that delivery yesterday. Nothing. Zilch. Just total radio silence. Now, naturally, this thing is going to show up right when I’m trying to head out for my shift tomorrow morning, or maybe it'll decide to rattle around in the middle of the night. Because why wouldn't it? It’s always like that. And honestly, what am I supposed to do? I can't exactly be wandering off for a bathroom break in the middle of a commute. Brrr... it's freezing out there.
God, I hate this...

Well, if nothing else, at least we'll be colored the same...πŸ€£πŸ˜‰

I'm running a few days behind myself, so I'm just hoping everything went smoothly and there weren't any issuesπŸ˜‰
..........but hearing that yours didn't show up on time... that really puts things in perspective!🀣

May Bog grant us all the same fertility He gave you!πŸ‘

😒😒😒😒😒😒My period arrived after eleven days of waiting, signaling that this month will not bring us the news we were hoping for; however, does one truly allow such setbacks to dampen their resolve? We remain steadfast in our hope for a new addition to our family, and we shall return to our efforts shortlyπŸ˜‰. To all of you who are currently praying to see that positive result on a pregnancy test, I wish you nothing but the very best and sincerely hope that your tests turn positive very soon. Should there be any definitive news on my end, I promise to share it with you immediately. I wish everyone heartfelt luck, and I thank you for your patience with me throughout this journey. Sending love to you all, and we shall speak again soonπŸ™‚

I am uncertain whether a thread dedicated to this specific inquiry already exists within this forum, yet I find myself compelled to ask: have any of you experienced that peculiar, intuitive sensation of being pregnant before any physical symptoms actually manifested, and more importantly, how accurate did those internal premonitions ultimately prove to be? πŸ™„

A gut feeling? Seriously? You can't just rely on some vague hunch, manβ€”either take a damn test or go get your blood work done

I definitely had a feeling... though looking back, maybe I was just convincing myself. 🀷 At the time, there wasn't a single symptom to point to... yet, I was pregnant. Coincidence, or something more? 🀷

It seems to me, particularly observing the tone of this discussion, that one cannot rely on intuition alone, especially when 🀷 women who are desperate for a positive result begin to indulge in excessive optimism and hope, which only serves to make the inevitable disappointment much more crushing.😒

If there is even a shadow of a doubt, it is far wiser to simply take a home test or get bloodwork doneβ€”provided it isn't too early for an ultrasound. If it is, I would suggest booking a quick appointment at a private clinic just to get an answer immediately and move on.

George Richardson9 said:So, this is essentially the situation I find myself in...

On November 15th, my period was supposed to arrive, but since nothing happened, I naturally began to suspect I might be pregnant; I was experiencing certain symptoms, so I decided to take two different tests, both of which came back negative. I waited, and then my period finally arrived on the 24th, though the cramping has been significantly more intense than what I usually endure, and for the past two days, the flow has seemed unusually dark and quite light... so, I am wondering, is there any actual possibility that I could be pregnant despite having this bleeding?

Thank you.πŸ™‚

Look, you aren't pregnant. The tests were negative, you got your periodβ€”it just isn't happening.πŸ˜•
You're wishing for it too hard. Come back down to earth and get real. Even high-sensitivity tests react to tiny amounts of hCG, usually within two weeks of conception (I personally see a positive about 10 days after). You can't have a negative test, get your period, and still be pregnant. There's zero chance.
