I just have the syndrome, my ovaries are actually perfect ๐
It was just those two hormones that were flipped upside down.

Iโm still struggling to wrap my head around how period duration and cramping actually tie back to PCOS. It seems more logical that it would be linked to cycle length or having less painful periods due to the lack of ovulation. Does anyone have a clear explanation for this?

Linda, you're being a little mischievous! ๐ฌ
Read my post to the end... I actually answered my own question. I'll be taking a test in 2-3 weeks if it becomes necessary. ๐
And writing on the monitor?? ๐ No way am I doing that at work right in front of my colleague. ๐ฌ ๐

Regardless, I'm crossing my fingers that it's the baby. ๐
Besides, a week out is way too early for a test. ๐
I know, I know... it's way too soon... ๐ I already gave Linda Hernandez15 an answer.

You're supposed to write on the keyboard, not the screen! ๐ ๐

I don't have it. Or rather, I'm pretty sure I would have realized it by now.๐

George Peterson said:I still don't get how the length of your period or the cramps relate to PCOS at all.
Maybe the ones getting their periods early are more at risk. Same for those who go longer. I don't know, ๐ maybe the duration is some kind of indicator. ๐

When does nausea typically begin, and how long does it last?
Does this involve actual vomiting, or is it just that feeling of wanting to throw up without being able to?

Are we talking actual vomiting here, or just that constant feeling where you feel like you need to throw up but nothing happens?
Look, as someone who is brand new to this whole pregnancy thingโI'm currently in my second monthโmy nausea only started about two or three days ago. In the mornings, I wake up with this weird, unsettled feeling in my gut. Itโs not always like Iโm about to vomit, but it happens pretty frequently throughout the day. Today was actually the worst one yet; my stomach was doing flips and it felt like I was going to ๐ฌ
every few minutes, but I didn't.
From what I've heard, most women find that this settles down around the fourth month, if I remember correctly.
Besides, every single woman's experience is different ๐ so some people are sick all day long while others don't deal with any nausea at all.

And thanks again to everyone for the supportโI won't quote every single thing ๐

For most women, it starts showing up around the 6 or 7-week mark and usually settles down by week 12โso about three months. Then again, some people never deal with it at all, while others are stuck with it through the entire pregnancy... It really just depends on the individual woman, I guess.
Jeffrey Cook55, congrats on the news! You should probably jump into our "chorus" thread below.

If youโve ever dealt with morning sickness in your life (and let's be honest, most of you have)... it's exactly like this. I personally only threw up once, and even then, it was just a little bit of fluid because some peach-flavored snack I opened smelled absolutely revolting.
The nausea has been hitting me since week 7โit used to last all day, and the only relief was when I was asleep. Now that I'm 16 weeks along, I still get hit with it occasionally, mostly in the evenings, but if I just have a little bread and milk, it settles right down.

Mandy said:If I had noticed certain symptomsโlike feeling exhausted or having sore breastsโI probably would have taken a test a few days before my period arrived.
Since these tests essentially measure the HCG hormone levels, if conception actually occurred, the test should pick up that specific hormone and signal that a pregnancy is underway.
It might actually be more reliable to wait until you realize your period is late, because by then the hormone levels are usually high enough for the test to catch them clearly.
๐ to all the moms-to-be out there!!
Iโm experiencing a handful of symptoms that are honestly leaving me quite confusedโheadaches, some waves of nausea, an appetite that feels tripled, sensitive nipples, and this sharp pain near my right ovary... we were specifically trying to conceive during ovulation, and since I was so incredibly curious, ๐คI went ahead and took a test. Now, I'm seeing a second line, though it is extremely faintโalmost invisible, reallyโand my partner insists there isn't a line at all. Am I just imagining things? Has anyone else dealt with something like this?๐ฒ
#378 ·
If you can barely even see a line, then CONGRATULATIONSโbut letโs be real, your hCG levels are probably still too low for it to show up any darker than that.
Just take another test in a few days if you're still unsure. Do you have any more kits on hand?

I can't believe I'm actually typing this outโitโs almost painful. We really need to talk about the sheer absurdity of how people are acting lately regarding the recent policy shifts. Itโs like watching a slow-motion train wreck where everyone is arguing about the color of the conductor's hat instead of noticing the tracks are missing entirely. Honestly, if we applied half the logic used in these debates to something as simple as choosing a restaurant in Chicago, we might actually get something done for once. Instead, we just circle the drain of endless, pointless back-and-forth. Itโs exhausting, frankly. kaลพe:

I can't believe I'm actually typing this outโitโs almost too ridiculous to processโbut we really need to talk about how intrusive some people have become lately. Itโs like thereโs no such thing as personal space anymore; everyone is just hovering, peering over shoulders, and acting like they have a VIP pass to your private business. Honestly, itโs exhausting. ๐
Check the expiration date on the testโthen go ahead and grab some more in a few days.
Welcome aboard! ๐

How much time had passed between ovulation and when you took the test?
