Nicholas Cooper59 said:Hey ladies, jumping in on this thread. I’m expecting my period in about two days, but the PMS symptoms hitting me right now are way more intense than usual. We had unprotected sex on day 13 of my cycle. My breasts are swollen, I’ve been feeling totally wiped out every afternoon for the last couple of days, and my appetite is through the roof... I keep telling myself it’s probably just in my head since I know what happened, but who knows. I won't bother with a test yet since my period isn't late, so it feels a bit too soon to be 🙂 .
My gut is telling me something is up though....

Every single time I convinced myself I was pregnant because of certain symptoms, I wasn't... then, when I actually did conceive, I didn't feel a single thing until about two weeks after my period was late, by which point the test was already positive..

Just go get the blood work done so you aren't left wondering. 😉

Heh. Right. Probably. That's why I'm getting the blood test. I have this firm little bump "down there." I've put on some weight, so... but it feels solid. Definitely a bump... 🙂 If it’s a baby, I’d give anything! It’ll be a joke if I’m wrong—the biggest letdown of all. But I think I am. I'm about 70% sure. I’m afraid to take another home test just to avoid losing hope, and blood work shouldn't mess with the accuracy. 🙂 So, blood test scheduled for next week. God willing, it's a baby... 🙂🙂

I guess I was being impatient and took a test today, even though my period isn't due until tomorrow. It came back negative.🤷
The test was an Intimina, which they say is pretty reliable. So, I'm not pregnant 🤷 just need to wait for my period to start...

I decided to take a pregnancy test just two days after my period was supposed to start. I picked up one of those budget-friendly ones from CVS—the cheapest thing they had for about 19 dollars—$6.75, and I used my first morning urine sample. Now, if I recall correctly, the instructions were supposed to say that the second line would manifest within two to five minutes, but for me? It popped up almost instantly, within mere seconds.

So, really, why on earth would anyone feel the need to waste money on those overpriced, high-end tests?

My only regret is that I tossed it out immediately; I didn't even snap a photo because I was busy formatting my phone's storage at the time. 😢

When exactly did you take it?
I don't want to freak you out or anything, but testing a day or two early—especially later in the afternoon when things aren't as concentrated—can be pretty hit or miss.
That’s why most doctors suggest waiting until at least the day your period is due and using your first urine of the morning (you know, when everything has been sitting there all night).

The Intim Plus tests can be used at any time of the day. 😉

A friend of mine who works at a clinic in Chicago used one in the evening and it worked fine. The main thing is just making sure you haven't gone to the bathroom for about three hours before you try to pee on the test.😉

Does it make any sense to grab a pregnancy test when I still have about 10 days left until my period?
We’ve been trying to conceive—and my breasts have been hurting like crazy for a few days now... they usually ache before my period, but typically just a week out. This feels totally different. It hurts so much I can't even sleep on my stomach...

honestly, I think it's way too early for you..🤷

I didn't even bother testing until a full week after my period was already late..
and I just grabbed one of those cheap ones from the drugstore and did it in the evening without even thinking about it..
I wasn't even trying to concentrate my urine or waiting for the morning or anything like that..
it showed a positive within just a couple seconds..😍

Yeah... I have a really strong feeling this is IT! 😁
Honestly, it feels like fate is just messing with me...
And now I get to sit here and wait ten whole days... great.

I'm crossing everything for you so you get that positive result 😍
but I know some girls mentioned they tested a day or two before their period started and it came back negative..
It’s probably best to just hold off and if your period doesn't show up then, go ahead and take the test..

To be honest, I didn't even believe I was pregnant myself..
like, I couldn't wrap my head around the idea that it could happen that fast, literally the very first month we decided to start trying for a baby... so I waited a whole week before testing.. I kept making up all these random excuses for why Mike was running late or why things were off..

You could actually try testing two days before your period is due if you ovulated around day 13

So, about three weeks ago, I had my first sexual encounter with this guy—if you can even call it that. Basically, he tried to go in without a condom, which totally freaked me out. I told him we needed one, but then the same thing happened twice more after that. We were both drinking, so I guess we weren't being careful enough. He didn't even finish, and the whole thing lasted maybe five minutes. Now, my period is two or three days late, and it’s usually incredibly punctual. I'm convinced I might be pregnant, though everyone keeps telling me to just relax and that there's no way. Honestly, I was dealing with finals at college until last week, so I've been under a massive amount of stress, which caused some digestive issues too. My breasts were also sore for a couple of days, though they usually hurt right before my period starts. I'm starting to panic a bit. My stomach is cramping like it does before my period, but everything just feels... off. I'm planning to see a doctor this Thursday because I can't deal with the anxiety anymore. What are the actual chances of pregnancy here? I'll admit, I'm really not well-informed about any of this, which is pretty pathetic, I know. I wasn't exactly planning on having sex, so I didn't bother researching anything beforehand. Thanks for any help.

you gotta be kidding me...

look, the odds of you being pregnant are basically zero—I'd go as far as saying non-existent. wasting money on a doctor visit is pointless since an ultrasound won't show anything yet anyway; they'll just tell you to get a blood test to check for hCG levels. just grab a home test from CVS and use your first urine in the morning.
honestly, I think you just freaked out and stressed yourself into stopping everything. just chill, have a shot of tequila or something, and let things happen naturally 😉 and maybe try being a bit more level-headed and mature about this next time... alright?

I don't know, maybe I'm just being ridiculous, but when I was actually terrified, there was absolutely no way I could be pregnant given everything that happened. But back when I was feeling those symptoms... I honestly have no idea if it was just exam stress or something else entirely. Still, thanks anyway. I'll definitely be more careful next time.

Pick up a kit from $10, take the test, and finally put these doubts to rest.

I'll do it, thanks. I was just curious to see what people on here thought before I actually pull the trigger and buy the test.

You literally have an entire thread dedicated to "getting pregnant from pre-cum."

The odds aren't actually as low as people want you to believe; just look at how many women on this forum ended up pregnant after similar situations.

Yeah, I get that. But the thing is, he literally just went in and pulled out immediately—and without a condom, too. I honestly don't see how anything could even happen in those few seconds. It would be incredibly frustrating if I got pregnant from that while other women struggle for years to conceive.🤷 🤷

Look, you’re probably not pregnant. I remember once being apart from my partner for a whole month and my period was late—I was convinced I was pregnant, though I have no idea how that could have even happened.😁
The reality is that your cycle is late, which is triggering this absolute panic—and suddenly, everything feels possible.
