But honestly, there’s really no need for the eye-rolling. Despite everything you can read online or learn in school, I know a woman in her late twenties who genuinely believes she’s bleeding from an open wound during her period, and you simply cannot convince her otherwise. And I'm not just being difficult or trying to start an argument! It's not even as if I'm claiming women don't understand basic ovulation. It's just... well, it's sad because I know more people like that than I'd care to admit.

Seriously though, why does one little emoji bother you so much? I feel like it's kind of silly to even have to explain to someone that a woman can't just pee out sperm, mostly because I haven't met anyone who actually believes that until now.

I work in healthcare, and let me tell you, you wouldn't believe how much people just don't know. Sometimes I really feel like we're still living in the Stone Age. 🤷

I had sex about two months ago. For the last week and a half, I’ve been feeling bloated. There’s actual pain when I press on my stomach. My jeans are becoming unbearable because of it. Yesterday, my period arrived out of nowhere. Usually, I get a warning sign at least a day in advance, but not this time. It’s also much heavier than usual—I'm changing products way more often than normal. I know a period doesn't strictly rule out pregnancy, so I can't say for certain that I'm not... I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Oh, and one more thing. My appetite is insane. I just polished off ten pancakes and I'm already craving a massive deli sandwich and some extra bread... Is this even normal?? 🙄🤷

Did you have two periods in those two months? And were they both heavy? Have you taken a test yet? I honestly think you’re feeling so bloated just because of the flow.

I can usually tell when my period is coming just by how my cheeks look, but last month I didn't have a single symptom of PMS—I didn't even crave sweets—and then my period just showed up out of nowhere.😉

A quick question:

Has anyone else dealt with frequent burping? It’s not just the gas, though—I have this constant, nagging sensation, almost as if there's something stuck right in my throat.

I suspect you aren't pregnant, provided you used protection.
You could simply pick up one of those inexpensive tests at CVS to settle your mind once and for all.

Honestly, I’m leaning toward pregnancy. My breasts are tender and everything from there down feels firm. I've even got a noticeable little bump. This has never happened to me before. I haven't taken a test yet, though. I'm going to get blood work done instead. That’s the only way to be sure. I've been hit by these sudden waves of weakness... and this exhaustion is hitting me way before my period is even due... It's strange... 😕🤷

Honestly, the smartest move right now is either getting a Beta test done or just going straight for a blood test, especially since there was no protection involved and—to put it the way they say in the movies—there was a direct exchange of fluids. 🤣

I already took a test, but it came back negative. That was a month ago. I’ve been reading online about how they can fail if the uterus hasn't started producing whatever hormone triggers the pregnancy detection... I'm done buying tests; I don't trust them anymore. I'll just go get my blood work done instead. If I'm not pregnant, I'm not... 🙄

You might have just tested too early before your hCG levels actually started to climb...

Just go get the blood work done so you aren't left wondering. 😉

Hey ladies, jumping in on this thread. I’m expecting my period in about two days, but the PMS symptoms hitting me right now are way more intense than usual. We had unprotected sex on day 13 of my cycle. My breasts are swollen, I’ve been feeling totally wiped out every afternoon for the last couple of days, and my appetite is through the roof... I keep telling myself it’s probably just in my head since I know what happened, but who knows. I won't bother with a test yet since my period isn't late, so it feels a bit too soon to be 🙂 .
My gut is telling me something is up though....
