Give me a break, AlexanderβIβm over here trying to give my wife some actual advice while youβre just sitting there making fun of us all. π¬

Edward Green said:Nah. Home pregnancy tests usually trigger at 25 mIU/mL, and since hCG levels skyrocket so quickly, by the fourth month, any decent test is going to pick up on it. If sheβs still feeling unsure, she should just give her OB-GYN a call and schedule an appointment. We can't exactly perform a pelvic exam here since our servers are down...
My friend actually went to see her doctor. Thanks for answering on her behalf! π

Since I'm still pretty new here... I know this question has probably been asked a billion times already, but I really can't be bothered to dig through the archives right now...
So, hereβs the dealβI think I might be pregnant. I've got those morning sickness vibes, cramping, and that lower abdominal ache you get right before your period starts. Plus, my breasts are super sensitive, my back is absolutely killing me, and I've suddenly developed these crazy cravings for sour foods when I never used to. My idiot husband wouldn't even take me to see the doctor because he was like, "it's too early to tell, but maybe?" π Then, being his usual charming self, he just tossed out, "well, that's what happens when you aren't careful..."
Anyway, if anyone with a bit more experience could weigh in, I'd really appreciate it. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Wait, hold onβisn't it a bit early for an appointment? You're already dealing with such intense symptoms π€
Go grab a test kit; $13 it'll give you some clarity and help save your sanity

That doesn't even matter; it's just too unreliable.

Well, thatβs the thingβI won't actually know for another week and a half or so. But yesterday, a friend of mine who already has a kid was asking how I was feeling. Honestly? I told her that for the last few days, I've felt totally wiredβlike I'm just floating through life or something. It's such a weird sensation; I've never felt anything like it before. I've been reading up on it, and people say you just *know* immediately, that you can feel it right away. I still remember the exact moment I first suspected itβI just grabbed my partner's hand, looked him in the eyes, and... I don't even know how to put it into words. I just started crying happy tears. It was hands down the strangest, most genuine moment of my life... though, maybe I'm just overthinking things. We don't use any kind of birth control, and the last time I had my period, things ended pretty decisively...

just grab a test kit, get $13 over it, and stop stressing yourself out
I don't know, he's just such an arrogant guy normallyβalways lecturing me and stuffβso when he told me, "Come see me in a week, I'm too busy right now," it felt pretty dismissive

Everything you need is laid out right thereβbut if reading actually feels like too much work for you, just follow my lead in the signature. π
Edward Green, consider this an official order. π

Just find a new OB-GYN. Look, right here there's been tons of discussion about them. π

My ovulation window was somewhere around October 12thβ14th, which was when we first started trying to make things happen...
On Saturday morning, I took a test and saw those two linesπ π (even though the second one was pretty faint, it definitely showed up!)
I did the test about 14 days after ovulation, and honestly, I haven't felt a single symptom yet!!! π² (well, except for my period being late...) π

Congratulations, crimsoncrane3! ππ π π
Itβs honestly way too early to be looking out for symptoms. I thought I was just exhausted back thenβI conceived on July 16th, and since we were on vacation starting the 17th and doing a ton of traveling, I just assumed it was travel fatigue. It wasn't until my period didn't show up that I actually realized what was happening.
As for me, the nausea didn't even kick in until my 7th week, and I'm still feeling it a little bit now at 17 weeks. It passed pretty quickly, though, even though there were moments where I genuinely thought it would never end. Plus, the exhaustion is finally starting to taper off.
This past Saturday, I was wide awake until midnight π π
I'm wishing you the easiest, most comfortable pregnancy possible!

Iβve been dealing with some confusing symptoms latelyβheadaches, hot flashes, a massive appetite, sore breasts, and sharp pains near my right ovary... we actually tried to conceive during ovulation, so I was dying to know.π€ I took a test and saw a second line, though it's incredibly faint, almost invisible. My partner insists there isn't one there at all. Am I just seeing things? Has anyone else dealt with this kind of uncertainty?π²
When I took my test and spotted that pale second line, I immediately thought of what pepper_queen mentioned. It wasn't even two or three lines; I just turned to my husband and asked how many he saw, and he goes, "Twoβit's just that the bottom one is way lighter than the top." π π Honestly, he was totally clueless! And I was just as lost myself! π

Benjamin Nelson8 said:Man, when I took my test and saw that faint second line, I immediately remembered what my friend told meβthat even if it's barely there, it still counts. So I asked my husband how many lines he could see, and he goes, "Twoβit's just that the bottom one is lighter than the top one." π π Oh my gosh, he gave her such a huge kiss! And the same thing happened to me! π
Thatβs really all there is to it; if you can see a line, it's time to celebrate. π

MaLo, itβs about time you showed up, π
it doesn't matter how much noise there isβwhat matters is that we finally have π

Honestly, the shade of that line doesn't matter; the fact that it's there is what counts. π
Oh my gosh, I am absolutely over the moon!!! π
So, when should I schedule my first prenatal appointment? I don't want to show up too early and be a nuisance.
Or should I just wait a few days and take another test to see if the line gets any darker?

mandy said:Exactly. If the line was clear enough to see, then itβs definitely time to celebrate. π
Thanks, I'm absolutely thrilled!
Do I need to run another test in a few days just to be sure?
