My period was ten days late, so I grabbed a pregnancy test. It came back positive, but honestly, I’m convinced it’s a fluke. I read somewhere that these tests react to hormones similar to thyroid issues, and my thyroid is already acting up. What do you guys think? Is it possible this is just a false alarm? I managed to book an appointment with my OB-GYN, but not for another 16 days. This waiting game is absolutely killing me.

Is there really no other doctor who can squeeze you in sooner? You’re going to lose your mind waiting 16 days. If I were in your shoes, I would have spiraled by nowβ€”I start panicking if I have to wait even five days.😁

And yeah, Kate Evans makes a good point; I don't think this is something you should brush off.πŸ˜‰

Go see a gynecologist and don't you dare leave until they actually look at you. Seriously, stop trying to order tests online when you're freaking worried about being pregnant...

Listen, if you’re looking for confirmation on a pregnancy, you don't need to wait around for some appointment with an OB-GYNβ€”that’s just an unnecessary delay... grab a Beta HCG test and get your answer within the hour.πŸ™‚

Plus, there's also that hormone spike that kicks in when a tumor starts growing. πŸ˜‰ I don't mean to rain on your parade, but it's definitely enough to give anyone a good scare.
How can you even be unsure if you're pregnant or notβ€”are you actually feeling symptoms, or is this just guesswork?

When I went to my doctor to get a referral for that hormone test, she simply asked me, "Which beta? "

My primary care physician didn't even realize I was pregnant... and let's be honest, it isn't like I'm hiding it 😬 She clearly didn't even know what prenatal care actually entailed, so I can't say I'm surprised by this incompetence...

Found an easy fix for my NT questions; I stumbled upon this handy little article titled "Early Pregnancy Signs" on a new site, www.womenshealth.com:

Hmm... spotting, increased discharge, and tender breasts. But honestly, that’s basically just what happens during PMS too, so 😲

Look, I am truly, deeply hoping for you that this isn't just PMSβ€”and if it isn't, then I hope you can just forget all about it and move on with your life!😁

Thanks for the kind wishes, ladies 😘
But I need to keep my cool 😎
Who knows, maybe it's just hormones; better not to get my hopes up too high 😁

We'll see! πŸ‘

Cut the pointless whining! 😬
On Monday, we’re all going to do the same ritualβ€”heading to the restroom and then coming right back here to this forum to debate exactly how many pros and cons someone managed to tally up πŸ˜‰

Sure, Linda Hernandez15 let's schedule our ritualistic bookkeeping for Monday, December 11th, 2006, from 7:30 to 10:00 AM (to accommodate both the early birds and the night owls πŸ˜‰).

I'll sign up as soon as I get into the office. πŸ‘

As for me, I'll be eagerly waiting to read the good news once I'm back from my doctor's appointment.😘

We could honestly start a charity driveβ€”something simple like a one-tap donation via an app... though in our neck of the woods, it would probably look more like: "Post a comment to donate $1.75 to the maternity ward" or something along those lines. 😁 We’d hit our fundraising goals in about five seconds flat if we did that. 🀣

Thomas Phillips2, I’m crossing my fingers for you and a smooth flight.😘
It’s kind of wild, isn't it? One expectant mom is waiting on her little one, while another is basically making a grand entrance into our lives.
Do you happen to have a webcam or something so we can watch this historic moment live?😍
