😘 here’s one for you and Mandy 🙂

It would be great if I could just fly off whenever I wanted, but I have a job, so... no luck there. I get home around 6:00 and I'm just totally wiped. Plus, I can't really tell my boss about what's going on until I get the official word from my doctor. Ugh, I don't know how he'll take it. Who knows how he'll react... 🙄

Man, it would be so sweet if I could just fly off whenever I felt like it, but I actually have a job, so... nope. I get home around 6 and I'm just totally wiped out. Plus, I can't really tell my boss about everything going on until I get the official word from my doctor... ugh, I don't even know what he'll say. Like, how is he gonna react? 🙄

Welcome, coastalscout27!😘
We're all waiting for the big day and all that pregnancy magic to happen soon.😬
Don't sweat your boss too much. I don't know where you work, but I've been out on medical leave for two months already, and my contract wasn't supposed to go past August 31st. I was honestly terrified about what would happen after that because I was sure they wouldn't renew me. Turns out, they extended it by four months!!🙂
Just focus on feeling okay. And the little one, obviously.😍

I had two periods and still ended up pregnant..

I really need some advice here. My period is 10 days late, and today I noticed some brown spotting. Right after that, I took a Clearblue pregnancy test, and a plus sign showed up within a minute. Does this mean I'm definitely pregnant? And if I am, should I be worried about the brown discharge? Will everything be okay?😕

Look, I'm definitely not a doctor, so I won't try to play gynecologist and tell you what that spotting might mean—honestly, if I were you, I'd save that specific question for your OB-GYN given everything else going on. But as for that instant positive on the test? CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉 🙂 🙂
(Head straight to the doctor, and by the way, welcome to the club! 😉)

You're pregnant!

If that test gave you a positive, there’s really no use overthinking it at this point. That kind of discharge happens all the time during early pregnancy—it's pretty standard. If I were you, I'd just head over to an OB-GYN for a checkup as soon as possible. There’s no reason to sit around waiting. Honestly, I don't think it's anything to worry about; like I said, that specific symptom is actually quite common when you're in those first few weeks.

Look, I might be totally off base here—and honestly, we’re all just amateurs when it comes to this stuff—but you should probably head to an OB-GYN as soon as possible to get a professional opinion.

Welcome to the club, lady!
Look, spotting can happen just from an egg trying to find its way into the uterus—it’s all part of the biological chaos—but like the girls already said, you should probably just head to the OBGYN to be safe.

I dealt with brown discharge too—now I have a wonderful two-year-old running around. Still, please go see a doctor just to be safe.

I took a pregnancy test just two days after my period was due—it came back negative. My cycle is usually clockwork, almost to the day—but now it’s been another seven days and still nothing. I'm wondering if I just jumped the gun by testing so early and how reliable those kits actually are at that stage... should I bother testing again?
thx

Honestly, if I were you, I’d probably just take the test again. I mean, during my first pregnancy, I did two tests right away, and then after about a week, the third one was like, a massive positive. It was kind of a shock, I guess. Anyway, have you been feeling anything else lately? Like any weird symptoms or whatever?

Should I just retake it right now, or wait a bit longer? I'm not feeling any other symptoms yet—nothing.

Since you all seem to have the answers, I might as well ask—if this turns out to be a positive test, am I actually obligated to tell my ex? We just split up, and he’s already moved on to someone else—he clearly doesn't want anything to do with me. Honestly, I’d much rather just keep him in the dark. What’s your take?

So, you know how those tests always claim they can pick up on a pregnancy like two days before your period actually shows up? Well, honestly, in my experience—and I’ve seen this happen quite a bit—that isn't always the case. Since you're already about a week late, I'd say just try testing again, maybe wait until tomorrow morning when you're first up to get the most accurate result.
God, there could be a million different reasons why your cycle is off, so please don't start spiraling, especially if you aren't feeling anything else weird, like tender breasts or bloating and stuff... As for whether or not you should tell him, man, I really can't give you a straight answer on that. I don't know the full story or what kind of vibe exists between you guys right now, so just take your time to think it through; there's absolutely no need to rush into anything!

Rock Star, you seriously need to get your birth control sorted out😉 if you want to stop being so paranoid about everything all the time. Anyway, I’m pretty sure she was actually stressing over what time of day you run the test rather than which specific day it is. Some of those kits specifically tell you to use first-morning urine, while others don't really care. Personally, I’d always go with the early morning route, but honestly, if you're actually pregnant, the result is going to pop up whenever you take it.
I had the exact same thing happen where it was just a faint line for the first two days, and then suddenly it turned into a massive ++++ for several days straight. I couldn't even wrap my head around it, so I ended up testing myself over and over again just to be sure.
Just try another test and wait a couple of days. If your period still doesn't show up after a few more days, I’d say go see a doctor—just like
Edward Green suggested to you.🙂 As for your other question, I honestly need way more context regarding your actual life situation before I can weigh in. It’s genuinely tough to give you a straight answer without knowing the details. For me, I’ve always wanted kids regardless of whether I had a husband or not, so in your shoes, I would have kept the baby and just disappeared into thin air, especially if you don't want him back. But that’s just me and how I view my own life, and you really have to make the call that's right for you.

I'd tell him. Not because I'm trying to win him back, but because the guy has a right to know he's got a kid out there.
you planning on putting him on the birth certificate?

are you seriously thinking about having an abortion if the test is positive?

Just to recap what the ladies were saying—though, honestly, I think you really ought to speak up. It doesn't have to be this massive, immediate confrontation, but at the end of the day, that's his child too, and he deserves to be in the loop. That being said, the final call is entirely yours. Best of luck with everything! 😘

I’m honestly not quite sure what’s going on with me right now.
My cycles usually run between 26 and 29 days—most often 26—and since my last period started on September 5th, I’m officially on day 29 today.
Lately, my PMS symptoms have been hitting me incredibly hard, and this month is no exception. My breasts feel swollen, I find myself tearing up for absolutely no reason every single day, and I get these sharp pains near my ovaries. On top of that, the hot flashes are driving me crazy: I can't sleep because if I uncover myself I’m freezing, but if I pull the covers up, I’m sweltering. And then there’s the constant urge to pee; it feels like I need to go every thirty minutes.
Regarding the frequent bathroom trips: if this were pregnancy-related, when does that increased urgency typically kick in?
And what about nausea? Around what point does that usually start to show up (assuming it happens at all)?
Earlier this morning, around 2:00 AM, I woke up with intense ovarian pain and this overwhelming pressure that made me need to pee, followed by feeling so sick to my stomach that I thought I might actually pass out.
When would be the best time for me to take a pregnancy test?
Is there a specific website or an online pharmacy where I can compare different tests and see their prices?

Sorry, I know that was a lot of questions at once. 🙂

Just head to the nearest CVS or Walgreens and grab the cheapest pregnancy test they have—then take it first thing in the morning. If you’re really too impatient to wait, just go pick up a Clearblue and take it right now.
