A stuffed-up nose and bloody noses can actually be pregnancy symptoms. I’ve been dealing with that exact same thing for seven months straight now. Plus, a ton of women deal with intense headaches right at the start. Why don't you just head to your OB-GYN and get checked out?

Is this constant waiting just wearing you down? Look, if you are pregnant, you really need to be eating better and staying on top of your vitamins. You have to take care of yourself. Are you seriously being so selfish that you aren't thinking about how the baby will be affected if you are expecting? Go to an appointment and stop messing around. Sorry, but I have to be blunt here—I just don't get it.

Look, just go get a blood test done—then you'll have a definitive answer instead of guessing.

2Michael Garcia23: My nose is bleeding just a little bit, but there isn't any blood visible yet... and don't worry, you aren't being harsh at all, you have every right to say that!
2 Linda Hernandez15: Yeah, you definitely should. I'll probably go ahead and get a lab test done first before they actually draw my blood..

Hey everyone!
When’s the absolute earliest I can take a test? Everything just feels... off in my lower abdomen—kind of this weird stabbing sensation mixed with some heaviness. It’s been about 7 days since I last had sex, so all these strange symptoms are starting to feel pretty suspicious.

Bring on the militant moms-to-be, let's go! 😁
Sorry, poor thing. Seriously, she got her period, hellooo? The odds of her being pregnant seem pretty slim to me.

What kind of stuffy nose signals pregnancy!? I thought it was—you miss your period, your stomach grows, hormones go crazy. That was my experience, anyway. Next time I'm pregnant, I'll know because my nose is blocked. 😛

And regarding this barrage of 150 unsolicited tips and lectures—one would think if a woman admitted to snorting heroin, crushing ecstasy, or chugging a bottle of wine after dinner... YOU wouldn't be able to understand her, Kate. Well, I certainly can't understand you.

Gary Jones10, my nose has been completely stuffed up since day one of pregnancy—and we’re already seven months in. This girl came here basically complaining that she might have actually been pregnant way longer than she thought, despite having her period. I told her straight up: if you've had your period, there is a 99.9% chance you aren't pregnant. But, as you can see from the comments above, plenty of people are still out here insisting she might be.

Since she keeps coming back to this forum and insisting her symptoms are "pregnancy signs," of course I'm going to tell her to just go take a damn test and get it over with. Honestly, I don't get how you can be so harsh about it.

P.S. My sister actually had her period through her entire pregnancy.

"A stuffy nose along with pregnancy symptoms?! I honestly thought it was just—you know, missing periods, the belly growing, those hormone swings hitting you hard. At least that’s how it went for me."

Well, honey, every pregnancy is a different story. Personally, I can barely get through a full night's sleep because my nose is constantly blocked—and since I can't exactly reach for the nasal spray without worrying, it's a mess. Just imagine how much of a nightmare it must be when you can't even breathe properly or relax, especially seven months in. You're lucky if your pregnancy is actually easy! Best,

Look, you didn't just suggest she take a test; you lectured her on nutrition, vitamins, and then called her selfish. You have absolutely no idea what her diet looks like, what her lifestyle is, or if she’s even pregnant.

Speaking of being harsh—take a look at your last post to her.

Anyway, I'm heading out. Time for a Coke. And imagine if I actually were pregnant. Brrrrr... Spooky... 🙂

Don't you think it’s a little selfish to suspect you might be pregnant but then refuse to actually go get checked out? I mean, once you're pregnant, you really need to start looking after yourself—starting with vitamins and all that—at least that's how we do things here in the States.

Look, I already admitted I was being a bit harsh, and I even apologized for it. But her response? She just goes, "Oh, don't worry about being harsh, you're totally within your rights!"

Anyway, pour me a glass of whatever you're having...

Ladies, let’s all just take a deep breath and dial it down a notch, shall we? 😬
vividwolf17, during the very early stages of my pregnancy, I was dealing with these sharp pains in my lower abdomen—it felt almost like a cutting sensation. Honestly, it seemed to start right from the moment of conception. I was absolutely, one hundred percent certain I was pregnant. I ended up taking a test about ten days after we had sex. Most doctors say you can technically take one as soon as you miss your period, though there's always that chance it won't pick up the pregnancy just yet. Another thing that hit me before I even thought about testing was this intermittent dizziness—just sudden, intense bouts where the room would spin for a second. I knew immediately what was happening. And then there was the sex—or lack thereof—which was completely devoid of any pleasure. It was as if my senses had just shut off entirely; I felt totally frigid. 😁

I’ve got this nagging feeling deep down that I might actually be pregnant, but... honestly? It feels almost too good to be true since we only just started trying to conceive.

It’s not crazy at all. Honestly, some couples spend years trying, while others just get lucky right out of the gate.
If you really are pregnant, huge congrats!🎉 🎉

So, I finally bit the bullet and took a test, but it came back negative. I know, I know—it’s way too early to call it, but I just couldn't sit on my hands any longer. Maybe there's nothing going on at all? Honestly, it could just be some random bug or a cold causing that weird stabbing sensation and heaviness I've been feeling. I guess I'll just have to wait and try again in a couple of weeks...

About one in ten people experience it—phantom smells, strange markings, hallucinations...
I suppose I’m the only one who felt absolutely nothing until the test confirmed it. Then my period just vanished. How classic. How predictable... 😢 😁

Honestly, I’ve had that "I think I'm pregnant" gut feeling at least twice now—though only one of those times actually turned out to be true! If we hadn't finally succeeded on our third attempt, I probably would have kept chasing that feeling for a while longer. 😬 It’s funny how much autosuggestion plays into it, too—especially when you're actively trying to conceive and just counting down the days until it finally happens.
Then again, if you consider that about 40% of pregnancies end before the sixth week—basically before most women even realize they're pregnant—I might have actually been right more often than I realized! 🙂
Anyway, vividwolf17—my best advice is to just bury yourself in work or a new hobby. Find something to keep your mind busy so you aren't constantly obsessing over whether this month or next month is "the one." One of them definitely will be! Sending you all the good vibes. 🙂

Raymond Bennett27, I don't really get why you wouldn't just head over to an OB-GYN for an ultrasound and get some peace of mind, but hey, you've got your reasons. Usually, the chance of having a period while being pregnant is incredibly slim for a typical woman with a regular cycle... but based on what you described, you definitely don't fit the "typical" mold.
If I were in your shoes, I'd go as soon as my period stops. And look, if you feel awkward about it, you don't even have to mention the pregnancy thing! Just tell them, "Hey, I'm here for a checkup, I've been having some weird discomfort in my ovary, like right here on the side." They'll run the ultrasound and boom—problem solved. 😉

Where on earth did this argument even come from?! 🙂
thx to everyone! I suppose I’ll just head over to the local Ginny's and finally face this head-on... 😉

I guess I’m just the one outlier who didn't feel a single thing until the pregnancy test actually confirmed it. And then, predictably, my period just decided to skip town. How classic, how incredibly boring... 😢 😁

Yeah, but that's just because your hormones are basically running a marathon right now.

Raymond Bennett27 said:I ended up here because Magic Blue suggested it. 😉 My main issue is that I’m just totally lost when it comes to pregnancy symptoms. I don't really know if you can feel anything significant just two weeks out. Right now, my stomach feels a little bloated, though it feels pretty much the same way it does about a week before my period starts. Even though we didn't actually have full intercourse—like I mentioned before, it was just him finishing near the opening—I'm still terrified that I might be pregnant. So, I'm reaching out to see if anyone can help me figure this out if possible! Thanks so much in advance! 😘

Why don't you just take a test?
You can grab one of those cheap ones at Walgreens or CVS for just a few bucks, and they work just fine.
The sooner you get an answer, the more time you'll have to process everything and decide what your next steps should be.
I remember waiting around aimlessly for three weeks myself, which left me with only seven days to make a huge decision about whether to continue the pregnancy or not. It turned out to be a blighted ovum, but my point is that finding out early through a test isn't something to fear; it's just about getting the truth so you aren't stuck in limbo.
