I mean, look at how people move from South America to the US just looking for work.

You really ought to get out of your bubble and see some actual scenery. Instead, you just head over to the local mall and then call it a day.

Funny how someone can talk so much about cosmopolitan issues when they never leave home, right?🤣 😵

Did it ever cross your mind that doing that would basically be throwing the whole country behind bars? 🙂

No. But why?

Ready to go! Is everything above board? Is it all completely legal? The freedom to come and go whenever you please—isn't there something incredibly liberating about that?

Actually, it would be even easier since we wouldn't need such rigorous oversight in the first place. Wouldn't that make things much smoother?

(the attached news is actually a reaction)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1532432/posts

Where are all those Western democrats who spent years bemoaning the suffering of Germans stuck behind the Berlin Wall? Where are the filmmakers who produced those heartbreaking documentaries about split families? And where are the dissidents brave enough to fight against inhumane regimes? Where are the Nobel Prizes for dissidents?

They are gone. They played their part and moved on. 🤣

Why should anyone interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation that democratically elected its own leadership? 😁 😁

That is the exact philosophy you, IL, and people like you push whenever the topic turns to Iran.🤣

Alex Martinez5 said:So why was he complaining about America back then? 🤣

I suppose we shouldn't stray too far from the main point, though... in your brief overview of the American economic rise, I think you might have overlooked the fact that the industrial giants essentially stripped and pillaged about 97% of the existing population to get there—arguably the greatest genocide in human history. Not to mention how they pulled massive profits from both World Wars, or how they triggered the 1929 crash and then profited from it by wiping out countless small businesses and banks in the process....

Right now, major media moguls like Rupert Murdoch seem to be pushing the world toward chaos by manufacturing yet another "clash of civilizations," using blatant anti-Islamic propaganda with the clear intention of dismantling any Middle Eastern regimes that dare to oppose them. When a few million more people inevitably die, I wonder who will actually take the blame? Probably nobody, I guess.

And I ask again, so what?
Didn't the Europeans also bleed their colonies dry and dismantle entire civilizations? And yet, strangely enough, they still seem to be trailing behind America. What everyone seems to forget is that the US is the world's largest consumer; God forbid they ever stumble. If they did, I imagine the resulting chaos would be something else entirely..........😬

The whole concept of the Economy—and I guess Karl Marx along with it—just goes straight down the drain...

Honestly, this is starting to sound like a fairy tale. In all that chaos, do you really think China would be left untouched by nuclear strikes???

Childhood innocence..

In a full-blown nuclear war, the winner is basically whoever shows up with the biggest army, the most allies—which is something the USA really struggles with since the Brits are such suck-ups—better gear, more people, and ultimately, just more "nukes" on the table...
while nobody gives a damn about diplomacy...

Looks like the Panama City plan hit a snag... plus, people over in Mexico are starting to lean toward Hugo Chavez. Oof—looks like it might be time for those progressive democratic forces to step up soon. 😲

Liar, is growth at 0%?

In some hypothetical nuclear conflict, the supposed winner is whoever brings the biggest army, the most allies (which, if you ask me, the USA lacks... since the Brits tend to be a bit too eager to please...), the best gear, and ultimately, more "nukes"...
though I suppose nobody gives a damn about diplomacy when things go south...

"where diplomacy ends, war begins"

And just how many times have "nukes" actually been used so far????????

Even countries like Pakistan and India don't pull that trigger because they understand the fallout would be absolute for both sides; at that point, it doesn't really matter if you're sitting on 1,000 or 2,000 warheads. Honestly, even five strategically placed units could devastate both China and the USA to an unimaginable degree. And I suspect both sides are well aware of that..................🙄

As for the idea that someone wins a "nuclear" war by having a larger military force—that strikes me as complete nonsense. In a conflict like that, there aren't any winners, just varying degrees of losers........🙄 🙄

Back again with the same old story from three months ago? Look, if you're so obsessed, go write to Marinko Cuic and let him explain it to you. I've already laid it out for you at least twice. Honestly, it’s getting old.

What about the free flow of people, goods, and services? In this "liberal capitalism" everyone raves about, how does it work where money only flows one way, goods move both ways, but people don't move at all? Then why bother with walls? 🤣

How is it that Mexico, despite having such massive growth over the last 200 years and that brilliant Panama City plan, still churns out so many poor people who are desperate to get into the USA at any cost?

Probably too many heavy questions for our buddy Majki.

Even that supposedly "humanitarian" old Eastern Bloc regime was playing both sides during the Iraq-Iran war, selling weapons to everyone involved. Anyone who worked at an American firm like General Dynamics back then could tell you the same thing. Back then, it was just called business. Maybe things have actually changed since then...🙄

Oh, please. That's a total lie!! Go ahead, ask mother Collins (rustymaker2) to confirm how absolutely nothing was ever produced in that old country. Those were all just fake communist factories running on nothing but massive loans...🙂

Alex Martinez5 said:Let me try explaining this to an American right-winger who claims they aren't "ashamed of their fascist past."

Let’s take it slow here:

1. Back when communism was running things, the West was welcoming refugees with open arms, painting a picture of milk and honey waiting for them on the other side.
That’s why those communist regimes had to build walls—to stop their own people from fleeing to the West.

🙂

Ahaaaa, I get it now. So the communists were actually doing everyone a favor? Keeping people trapped just so they wouldn't get disappointed when they realized the "wicked West" wasn't all it was cracked up to be?🤣 🤣 🤣

haha, brilliant idea. Just throw me in jail for my own good then.🙂 🙂

God, you people are never going to learn.🙄

Haha, great idea. Just throw me in jail since it's clearly "for my own good"...

My God, you people are never going to learn.🙄

Go ahead, try explaining something to this fanatic... they either can't or won't actually read anything.

And what, you honestly think some glorious revolution happened back in '45? Was it for the good of those Marxists or for your own benefit? Oh, pardon me, maybe those evil communists were busy looking after YOUR parents back then... damn, suddenly your little opinions make sense...

The Revolution of '45?🤣 You mean when those looters descended from the hills, stripped everyone of their property, and then had the nerve to call it "public ownership"?

Those same thieves slammed the borders shut immediately, making sure the "liberated people" were stuck inside to enjoy all that revolutionary prosperity. It was the same crowd that started clawing at each other's throats, fighting over whether Stalin or Marshall was the bigger big shot—even killing one another in the process—while the actual citizens remained trapped within the borders of their "liberated" nation.

Haha, give me a break with these "people's revolutions."🤣 Maybe go back and reread Orwell's Animal Farm? It’s basically that, just written a little more absurdly so people can actually wrap their heads around it.😁

Comparing communist regimes that opened fire on their own people just for trying to escape, to modern nations protecting their borders from illegal entry, is such a ridiculous leap that I honestly can't believe anyone still makes that argument.

Those same crooks slammed the borders shut immediately so the "liberated people" were stuck staying put to enjoy all that revolutionary prosperity. It was the same bunch of thieves who started killing each other over whether Stalin or Marshall was the bigger shot, while the citizens of the liberated country remained trapped inside.

Hahaha, give me a break with these "people's revolutions."🤣 Go read Animal Farm again—maybe it'll be a little less subtle so you can actually wrap your head around it.😁

So, the radicals covered your ass too, didn't they? And here you are bringing up Animal Farm and "all animals are equal"... it's all just numbers to you, you never actually get to the heart of the matter...

Funny how you never mention Animal Farm or the "equals among equals" happening out in the
West?

Or maybe you won't talk about Orwell's totally controlled society in 1984, WHERE PEOPLE HAVE CAMERAS IN THEIR ROOMS RECORDING EVERY SINGLE MOVE THEY MAKE? What's that called again? Big Brother? And the best part is, some people even volunteer for it. Think about that. 🙂

Or just keep buzzing into the void. Be my guest. 😘

that territory belonged to Mexico... and they had no right to seize it from them...
we know the USA eventually recognized Mexico... and vice versa.. but relations between the two nations will always be strained because of this...

ps.
Today, 55% of the population in Arizona is Mexican...

What absolute nonsense are you spouting?
Hispanic or Latino people make up about 25% of the population, so why don't you try telling them they are Mexican rather than American?
In all my life, I have yet to meet a Hispanic individual who hasn't placed their loyalty to the American state above all else. For instance, 60% of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is comprised of Hispanics, they make up 25% of the U.S. military, and according to the latest census, they account for 12% of the total population in the USA.
This discussion, much like any other where the infamous C appears, has predictably veered off course.
First of all, we aren't talking about a wall, but a fence. I would dearly love to see a comparison between the situation regarding illegal immigrants in the USA and other Western nations.
Do you even realize how many amnesties have been granted to illegals over the last decade? Are you aware that even though illegals receive health insurance, or personal documentation just so they can open a bank account, or that they can enroll their children in schools that are free for them—and finally, that once a single child is born, they automatically become American citizens and thus legal?

First off, let’s get one thing straight: we’re talking about a fence, not a wall.

🤣 Man, this sounds exactly like those threads about Israel!! 😂

It’s not even a wall, it's just a damn fence!!!

Look, let's be real—for the most part, the Berlin Wall was basically just a giant fence! 🤣

You can legally go in and out whenever anyone feels like it.

Actually—it’d be even easier because you wouldn't need such insane security protocols.

AmateurHour, you can walk in and out of any prison legally too!! 🤣

STRICTLY LEGAL!! 🙂

Good grief, what do you people even use your brains for, besides aiming for the toilet bowl?🤣

Nobody would even give the USA the time of day if they weren't constantly hassling the rest of the planet. As long as the USA is out there nitpicking things like human rights in every backwater corner of the globe, they're gonna be a target. If the USA just stayed home and left everyone else alone—politically and economically—nobody would bother them. It's not rocket science.

Ever wonder why refugees from the East were treated like gold during the communist era, but now that those regimes are dead, nobody in the West wants them? 🙂

And where did all those dissidents, the political refugees, and the Nobel laureates disappear to? 🙂

Don't even try telling me people were fleeing before 1990 just because they weren't thrilled with the level of press freedom in their countries. 🤣
