Is that Sugarman the one with that slight hint of caramel flavor?
If it is, that's my absolute favorite 😂 though I'm just kidding—in moderation, it's fine.

So, if they're charging by the slice, 🤔 then we're looking at roughly $400 🙂 which ends up being about the same price as those individual pastries, so now I'm back to square one with this decision. 🙂

I don't care about the price tag, we're going to get them.

urbanowl10, how much were those cupcakes? Where'd you find them?

We’re definitely going to go with that fondant. We have Sugarman handling all our cakes and pastries, so now we just need to nail down which specific cake we want since it’s already part of the menu. My husband isn't exactly a huge fan of fondant—he’s more of a traditionalist—but I absolutely love it! Since we usually end up eating cake at weddings anyway, he can stick to the classic sponge while I indulge in the fondant. It seems like a pretty quick way for us to reach an agreement on the dessert situation! 😍

Oh boy, now this is something a little different...

I really have to brag just a little bit—I’m basically the one responsible for finally getting Trajbar and Sugarman to team up... it was quite the feat, actually... 😍

The owner actually tried their cakes and pastries for the very first time at our wedding—she was absolutely floored by them, and well... there you have it! 🙂

Well, thanks for the suggestion, feralmoose32!😍 We certainly have the option to bring our own treats, but honestly, I’m just not in the mood to wander all over town testing out different spots—especially since sweets aren't really my thing anyway. Since we're deciding between M&M's and Sugarman, let's just go with Sugarman.

You guys definitely made the right call

Does the price include both the cookies and the cake, or is it just for the cake?

We have a lovely selection of cookies and cakes on the menu. If you decide to go with fondant for your cake, there's just a small additional charge for that. I'd be more than happy to DM you the full menu—we were absolutely blown away by everything we tried!

Go ahead and send it over! A close friend of mine is actually getting married in about two years—can you believe it?—and they’re still trying to wrap their heads around all the logistics... this would be such incredibly helpful info for them to have 😉
thanks

I’m also not much of a fan when it comes to eating fondant, but honestly, I don't mind at all since I view it strictly as decoration. To me, cakes decorated this way are just so much more visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing; in fact, fondant-covered cakes are pretty much the only ones I actually find beautiful.🤷

The way it turns a cake perfectly white, smooth, and—most importantly—matte is just unbeatable. You don't get that tacky, greasy shine you often see, not to mention how much better it looks compared to standard whipped cream frosting.😲

I was just thinking out loud about those ones from Zvrkse.

Actually, send it my way too, just because I'm curious. 😍

M&M's Cake 🙏🙏

We served three different layers—pistachio and hazelnut parfait, strawberry chocolate parfait, and a rich chocolate mousse. There was also a special dietary option: a vanilla fruit parfait drizzled in chocolate glaze.

Everyone raved about the cake. It was practically wiped clean; I ended up bringing home ten extra slices more than there were guests. 😬
I managed to snag one tiny little sliver for myself to take home. 😢

I’ve gotta say, I am a huge fan of that M&M's cake too. We had one at our last get-together and it was seriously incredible.

The cookies were just as good. There was actually so much left over that every single guest ended up walking away with a piece for later.👍

We always grab our cookies and cakes from Mercer, $23/lb and honestly, they taste just like homemade—plus they've got basically every kind you could want 😉

Hello everyone, I could really use some advice!
It might sound a bit silly, but at so many weddings lately, the best man or the newlyweds end up in this ridiculous competition where they just gorge themselves on cake. It turns into a total mess—there’s frosting everywhere, all over the floor and their clothes...🙄
At first, I thought it was pretty funny, but now I'm starting to feel a little uneasy about it.
So, does anyone have suggestions on how to make the cake cutting interesting without it turning into a giant feeding frenzy? I would love to find a way to make the cake a fun highlight of the night, but I'm just out of ideas...🤷
Please share your thoughts!

Why don't you just slice up the cake and eat it like the rest of the civilized world? 🤷

Look, if I say I don't want it, I don't want it. Let’s all just sit down, have a slice, and act like a decent, cultured society. Nobody can force you to "wolf down" a cake if you're just not feeling it. ☕

I feel exactly the same way about those eating contests—it’s just people face-planting into a cake or whatever, and honestly, it’s a bit much. I told him that we should just do things the classy way: we'll slice the cake nicely, he can give me a piece, I'll give him a piece, and that's that. No need for all the extra drama or making a huge spectacle out of everything...

That's exactly how we're going to handle it.
