Even those colors 🙂 specifically that greasy black one 🙂

What's it gonna be made of?

Chocolate with raspberries on the bottom,
a cheese parfait with raspberry in the middle, and topped off with a yogurt parfait featuring mixed berries.

I guess I’m officially the only person on this planet who actually hates fruit pies 😬

Does anyone know a bakery that does dessert shooters, something like this:

I saw those kinds of desserts at a wedding at the Hilton, but they used Delivered Catering, and I don't think they specialize just in sweets...
Are there any other options out there?

Is this what you mean?

I am reaching out because I could really use some help!!
I have been trying everything in my power to track down this specific recipe, or even just find out what the dessert is actually called, but I’ve had absolutely no luck so far; so, if any of you happen to recognize it... 🙂

Oh, my apologies, I realized I neglected to mention the details—it is located on the far right side of the photo: there is a dark chocolate sponge base, followed by a dark filling, then a white sponge layer, all finished with a dusting of powdered sugar...

Ladies, how many pastries should I order for roughly 170 people (give or take 10)? Just to clarify, I'm not planning on handing these out as party favors; they're just meant to be served at the hotel banquet.

Some people claim a standard of 1.5 to 3 pounds per person, but honestly, it all depends on who you're hosting... For our party of 110, we put out 44 pounds of food and there was still way too much left over.

Man, 15 is plenty... we actually had 20 people show up and everyone walked away with a little box, even though we hadn't planned on it at all.

We still have more than half the cake left over.🤷

Emma’s treats... honestly, hats off to them. Everything was delicious, and that cake was nothing short of phenomenal. They’ve definitely earned my lifelong loyalty—I mean, what can I say when there were only about 20 slices left after serving a cake meant for 230 people?

Monika’s Bakery in Samobor—absolutely incredible cake! Both the presentation and the flavor were spot on.
My mom and I were beyond impressed... honestly, about 90% of our guests were asking for seconds!

😉

We picked up the rest of the pastries at Absum in Karlovac—we were really happy with both the quality and the price!

Come on, post some pics... which flavor did you guys end up grabbing?
And did they hit you with the old price or the new one?

The caterers actually told us that even 1 to 1.5 pounds per person would be plenty, though obviously, if your guests are the type to pack up leftovers to take home, you’ll want to aim higher.

We had about 10 people per table and ended up with 1.5 cakes... which works out to roughly 5 ounces per guest.

I think those extra few pounds are more than enough. I definitely went overboard with it. Everyone ended up bringing stuff over, and it wasn't even part of the plan... but whatever. I’d still ☕

So, my wedding passed by too... I have to give a shout-out to the desserts from Smile in Aspen... we ordered $22 pound, and they were incredible... the value for the price was more than fair🤣. We grabbed 20kg for the reception for 120 guests; let's say about 5kg went to waste, but honestly, it was better having extra. We also took 10kg home, which practically vanished because of the relatives staying over, plus all the neighbors and friends who dropped by the next day.
As for the cake... Savannah's place... the flavor was beyond amazing. They had everything—Sacher, cheesecake, cookies, Ferrero, Black Forest, peach yogurt, strawberry yogurt—you couldn't decide which was better. We ordered enough for 140 people ($523) at a really reasonable price, and there was enough left over for about 30 people... I initially thought about cutting down the number of slices once we realized our guest list would be smaller, but we changed our minds. The cake was devoured within two days because everyone just wanted seconds, myself included, since I barely got a taste at the wedding itself🤣... My only gripe with Savannah is the presentation; it wasn't quite what I envisioned. The decoration looked a bit messy, and since these are lighter cakes, it might be better to order them separately rather than stacked, because one side started to lean a little. It was just standard whipped cream here; I didn't want fondant or whatever that stuff is called. We did go with a three-tier design specifically to avoid this, but still👎... Interestingly, nobody else noticed except me and the groom, since we were standing right by the cake😁... Anyway, hope this helps😉
