Anyway, word on the street is the DVD release is gonna be way longer—apparently they filmed basically every single panel from the comics (which are like 150 pages long!), but they had to trim a massive chunk for the theatrical cut. They’re even planning to adapt the rest of the series!

Look, Quentin Tarantino just edited that one scene in the car with the guy talking about the wood. The original comic is violent and dark, and while the movie follows it, the violence is so stylized that it doesn't feel quite as gross. I really don't get why everyone insists on pinning all violence on him! His movies aren't even that much more intense than your average Hollywood action flick—it's just that the violence hits you more directly. I mean, look at Oliver Stone (who's a pretty peace-loving guy, in my opinion)—he made Natural Born Killers, which is like, a hundred times more violent than anything Quentin has ever done combined!
