amateur said:Oh, I've definitely read comics (and honestly, I'm still deep in them). I'm kind of a total fanatic, actually.

But as for that specific series? Until just recently, I hadn't even heard of it, let alone picked one up.

So, I actually finished one of those short runs—it's basically its own little mini-series. They're pretty pricey, though! You can probably guess—since they're those big American graphic novels with like 150 pages, Amazon will absolutely rip you off and charge $40 a pop. But, fingers crossed, I should be getting the full set on a burned disc soon—someone is ripping them for me over in Chicago right now and mailing them out. If you're interested, shoot me a DM; I might be able to get you a copy since my buddy who's doing the ripping also knows a guy who can ship stuff. Anyway, hey there, my fellow comic-loving roommate—her sport is totally Las Vegas style, so I really hope you guys haven't gotten too worked up and can still talk shop.

Brian Moore67 said:You should really check out Charlie Chaplin and Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. It’s a completely different flavor of weirdness, but honestly, it’s just as brilliant.

I have this thing about certain details... I just have to know... keep a close eye on the avatar.

By the way, word is the DVD release is going to be significantly longer since they supposedly filmed every single panel from the graphic novels (which run about 150 pages), but they had to trim a massive amount for the theatrical cut. Apparently, they're planning to adapt the rest of the series too.

Did you hear that Rodriguez actually resigned from the Directors Guild of America just to get this movie made?

The Guild doesn't allow "co-directors" on a project like this, and he was dead set on having Miller serve as his co-director.

And then, just to stir the pot and drive them even more crazy, imagine if Tarantino jumps in there somewhere... 😁

Oh, and Benicio Del Toro... Jackie Boy...

My only real gripe is with Clive Owen: his facial features seem a little too refined for a movie like Las Vegas. They look almost too civilized for that world...

I think I'll make sure to grab a backup of that DVD once it finally drops...

On another note, I recently sat down to watch Team America.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!

"I will be with you if you promise me that you will never die"
"You know I can't promise something like that"
"If you could promise that, I would be yours... I might would even go to bed with you"
"I PROMISE!"

... 😂

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, HANS BLIX, CAN'T YOU SEE HOW INCREDIBLY BUSY I AM?

😂 😂

See, the Guild won't allow "co-directors" on a project, and he was dead set on having Miller join him in the director's chair. Just a total headache, right?

And then—get this—Tarantino pops up here and there too, just to really rub salt in the wound and drive him crazy... 😁

Oh, and by the way, Benicio Del Toro... Jackie Boy...

The only thing that bugs me a little is Clive Owen: his facial features look a bit too... I don't know, human? For Sin City. Like, he looks a little too civilized for that vibe...

I think I'll try to... uh, back up that DVD once it finally arrives...

That version "arrived" via some sketchy Chinese pirate site, but apparently, he’s got the actual theatrical cut. Honestly, I'd grab it. I love buying physical copies of great movies—it's totally worth it, if nothing else, just for all those sweet extra features.

Speaking of which, do you happen to have "Mediterranean" on Disney? (With the American dub, obviously)

Nah, I don't! It hasn't been released on Disney in forever—I honestly have no clue if it even exists anymore. Last time I went hunting for it, maybe two years ago, it was nowhere to be found.

If anyone manages to track it down first, would you mind letting me know? 👍

Actually, scratch what I said about those hot chicks...

😲

Anyway, let's play a little game of "guess who's who"...

Phoenix that blonde has gotta be Revka or maybe PBE, I can't say for sure—but this one is definitely Bajki Phoenix from the other side

I mean, I’ve always pictured Rebekah being like, 6'3" with legs for days, maybe even built like Vince Lombardi. That’s why she probably needs an open-minded guy who can actually handle all that, I guess.

Man, Tarantino actually wrote the script for that one... 😁 😁 😁 😵

Let’s see if we can play detective and guess who’s who here...

Phoenix claims the blonde has to be Rebekah or PBE; I can't say for certain, but this one is definitely fairytale Phoenix from the other side

Honestly, tattoo parlors should probably hang these images on their walls as a warning. It’s all fun and games when you’re in your early twenties, but once gravity starts doing its thing and everything begins to sag... "tragic" doesn't even begin to cover it.

I’m just sitting here wondering what kind of homemade concoction that blonde lady was tripping on to end up growing a full-on beard...

Okay, but seriously—what kind of surgeon gave him those saggy breasts? Like, is that even a thing people request? I find it so hard to believe that "he" would actually go to a plastic surgeon and ask to look like a 50-year-old woman with a curvy figure. It just doesn't add up!

Look, when men undergo gender reassignment surgery, they go through an extended period of hormone therapy first, which naturally develops breast tissue. However, that doesn't magically erase facial hair or other masculine traits, so it’s highly probable we're looking at a woman in that photo who still sports a mustache... and frankly, she isn't exactly blessed in every department either.

Honestly, I wouldn't know... if someone is naturally curvy, then their chest is going to reflect that build. Besides, where on earth did you even get the idea to use Margaret as your signature?

Oh, I was just reading something, stumbled onto a cool quote, and thought—hey, why not swap the signature? That's basically my whole vibe... I change stuff up all the time!
