It feels to me like we’re missing a dedicated corner for humor—maybe even a casual lounge area—since we seem to have an endless supply of "heavy" topics reserved only for the intellectuals. I'm starting this thread as a little oasis for those of us who don't claim to hold a monopoly on Truth, nor feel the need to graciously bestow it upon everyone else.

I suggest we adopt the classic rule from Shakespeare: Brevity is the soul of wit,
because if someone needs a thousand words just to state something incredibly simple, their thoughts are probably too cluttered to express themselves clearly.
If you can't say it concisely, it likely isn't worth saying in the first place.😉

Fine, I’ll write it this time. I'll post it on game forum, delete it... post it on Rideo—I think, therefore I am—delete it... and so on. But here? I don't know. I'm just drawing a blank on what to actually say.

Best, 🙂

The Truth About Baklava

walnuts, raisins, and pure sugar
tucked deep within layers of pastry
filling every single bite
as that sweet syrup drips down your chin
I tell you—
“mmmmmmm...
...baklava is the absolute truth”
and I’m not just joking—
it really is m......🙂

Advice for true philosophers (the wisdom seekers):

Skip the baklava—not in the morning, and definitely not at night.

I don't know which cosmic matrix this comes from (personally, I'm an agnostic), but that stuff is just a massive sugar bomb. You’re way more likely to end up with diabetes than you are to experience the *dolce vita*.
We all know life is usually pretty bitter (that's probably part of the buddhin matrix), but trust me, baklava isn't the cure. 😉

Way back in the day, when I was just a rookie scavenger wandering through the endless digital wilderness of this Forum—drifting from science deep dives to social commentary, much like I do now while hunting for those specific intellectual vibes—I stumbled upon a real powder keg. It was a hub of collective energy made up of people I still have the pleasure of crossing paths with today: thinkers like planinar, Ljubo, Sirk, Flemming, obelix, Sanherib, Pandora, essenca, slavko, and the rest. Being a bit of a moonstruck wanderer myself, I happily joined that bonfire of excitement and anticipation, drawn in by the heavy-hitting ideas shaking up that thread.

To be honest, the vibe on the Forum back then was pretty cutthroat. Surviving those days felt a lot like navigating the Old West. It was basically "survival of the fittest," characterized by zero tolerance, a lack of direction, and people mostly just looking to boost their own egos. There was a fair amount of arrogance, especially toward anonymous guests or the newer members of our little tribe. Some might say not much has changed since then ;p

Back then, just like now, I was mainly focused on two things: leveling up the quality and usefulness of the Forum by fostering more tolerance and smoother interactions, and searching for deeper meaning—trying to find those higher frequencies of thought and collective consciousness in how we all communicate and relate to society. I actually posed a question back then, thinking it should be the top priority for the topic, but it just got drowned out by the noise—all that frantic, aimless, ad hominem shouting matches. So many brilliant sentences, thoughts, and solid suggestions ended up buried at the bottom of the Forum, serving neither as food for thought nor as anything useful for anyone...

I haven't run into Sirk again since. (I’m starting to think the universe played a prank on me, creating a ghost persona just to make me feel like I wasn't alone in my thinking ;p)

Between that and everyone ignoring my pleas to reform the Forum, my main account eventually called it quits and hasn't returned to these parts since. But seeing what looks like a prime opportunity for constructive debate right now—aiming for actual results instead of just art for art's sake—my old self sent me, his messenger, to see if we can make these discussions mean something more permanent. So, now you know where I'm coming from when I push for some actual substance in these parallel threads we're running.

(p.s. adriatico, why on earth can't I seem to link directly to a specific post in a thread?:)

Look, guest, I have no clue how long you’ve been hanging out on this forum since I’ve only been here about a year myself. And honestly, looking at the sheer number of posts left here, it feels like trying to find a single crumb of a cracker after someone’s already inhaled the whole box... or maybe just a stray piece of baklava. But I have to admit, when I first stumbled upon your comments on a few threads, I assumed you were just some fanboy following the lead of the established "philosophers" around here (what a word, right?). I figured your participation was just your way 🙂 of trying to fit in with the crowd rather than being a true thinker. My bad. I say this now because after reading through more of your stuff, I was genuinely surprised—and let me tell you, you’re actually brilliant.
Nobody bothered to return my "hello," but whatever... I'll just be the one spreading a little positivity here, key_4

Did someone... hm... invite me... hm... for baklava?

Atlantic:
I don't know which matrix this is (I’m agnostic), but it's all too much sugar for me—a total sugar bomb. You have a much higher chance of developing diabetes than actually living the sweet life.

Well, look at that... I'm genuinely surprised you can't recognize the scientific-materialistic-medical-commercial-whatever-it-takes-to-live-to-a-hundred-egomaniacal-fantasy-power-control-matrix...
See... in that matrix, the baklava is just sugar, and diabetes is the killer.
Meanwhile, there's no baklava, no diabetes, and certainly no hope of enjoying the good life... hm.😉

Go ahead then. Enjoy yourself.👋

Jonathan Brooks8, that sounds like the mental loop you get stuck in when someone mentions baklava. But honestly, when your sister-in-law enthusiastically offers you her first batch, those raisins don't matter, nothing drips down your chin, and you're just focused on those thick layers of crushed walnuts.😁

We’ve touched on math and chess before, so here is what the genius Ryan has to say about this topic. 😁

Ryan said:Total mileage...
Pulse media conducted a survey, sponsored by Vanish (that one detergent that actually gets every single stain out...), regarding how many times the average American resident has sex, and essentially how much "distance" women take in per year.

The results are somewhat surprising.
Let's take a look...

So, the average American male organ is 7.4 inches, and the average duration of intercourse is 9.20 minutes.

If we assume that during one minute of intercourse, the average male organ enters the average female vagina about 50 times, a simple mathematical calculation involving 408 variables leads us to conclude that the average woman "takes in" 935 cm of length in that single minute.

Applying this logic to the full 9.20 minutes, we find that the average woman experiences 460 "strokes" during a single session, which translates to 8602 meters.

Essentially, in under ten minutes of sex, the average woman covers a distance equivalent to the height of Mount Everest.

Furthermore...

Given that the average American has sex three times a week—that's 12 times a month, or 144 times a year—that 8602-meter figure isn't just eight thousand anymore; it jumps into the millions.

Specifically, it comes out to 1,238,688 meters...

I am quite impressed.

What about you?

🙂 🙂 🙂

Vivian, hello there! I used to end every single one of my posts with a simple "hello!"—honestly, I can't quite pinpoint when that habit just evaporated... On this other forum where I used to feel completely at home, I’d always greet every new traveler who wandered in, but half of them wouldn't even reply. Looking back, I suspect my little greetings might have actually intimidated them.

Guest, how much meaningful conversation are you sacrificing just to keep things organized during this wandering phase of yours? You seem preoccupied with preparing and categorizing everything, whereas for me, this whole game feels more like a Mandala—you carefully arrange the patterns, count them up, and then... just blow it all away...

Rachel Bishop, well look at you! How have you been? Is winter still dreaming in your neck of the woods, or has a warm slice of apple pie finally woken you up?

Harold James9, personally, I’m much more of a pecan pie person myself—and if a hostess serves me that, she can say whatever she wants. When you're devouring one of those perfect little treats, you don't stop to consider how hard she worked—kneading the dough, rolling it out, stretching it thin... all you care about is that final, transcendent moment when it melts on your tongue, mmmmmm...aaahhh.

@Jonathan Brooks8, you make a solid point, but honestly? I’m just not feeling it. If this whole forum is basically just a game, then I’m checking out. My engagement is going to drop way down if there isn't any actual substance here. If this is all just play without any real-world utility, I’ll turn back into a total lurker faster than you can blink—because, seriously, what's the point? I need things to have a purpose. If that’s missing, no hard feelings, but I’m gonna get selfish with my time. It’ll be just like before, when I left a ton of threads hanging, as @swiftcobra15 puts it. I’m looking for real insight. Back then, I didn't have the clarity I have now. I'm looking for something complete, not some contest of wits, trivia, or who can be the most charming...

When I’m active, I try to be responsible, thoughtful, and constructive. But when I’m not? I’m just using everyone else’s posts and ideas as fuel for my own mental processing. I don't really care about the direction the conversation takes. When I actually put in the work—the energy, the focus, the time—my expectations are different. Basically, look: there are millions of great thoughts, quotes, and ideas floating around here that don't serve anyone or anything today. If that's just how it is, don't get mad at me, but I’m not about to waste my time. Time is too precious, and let's face it, we're running out of it. Death doesn't hit the pause button, and I want to actually achieve something with the time I've got. I'm not waiting for some future life to try and grasp the concentrated power of something as small and fragile as—a glazed donut.

🙂 I get the feeling that nobody is even following my train of thought 😁

So, I’m sitting here listening to this beautiful song—you know, the one that goes, “it's sad, so sad, so sad situation...”—and it got me thinking. I find a certain kind of purpose in these half-formed, jagged little thoughts—the ones I wouldn't even realize were drifting through my head if they hadn't been sparked by someone else's perspective. And of course, that person's thought is just an echo of some other words or situations—perhaps even my own, which in turn are echoes of something else entirely... If it weren't for this constant back-and-forth, this dialogue we have, none of these thoughts would ever crystallize into images, or words, or compositions, or songs... right here in this wonderful corner of the internet.

Check out this dilemma. If we met up in person and I gave a lecture for an hour, followed by another hour of Q&A about the specifics, we’d basically wrap up the whole theory in one day. We go home, test out the communication models we built, and either embrace them or toss them out. But if I write all that down—even if it's just a few pages—I've basically just created another dogma for everyone from high schoolers to stay-at-home moms, and especially trained philosophers, to tear apart. Why? Because they'll just see it as yet another person claiming to hold "the truth." Even if I'm 100% right, there's no chance; nobody is a prophet in a global village anymore (I've mentioned that issue with written text before). The only way forward is to be a bit smarter about how we handle the whole thing.

The pace here is maybe a couple of posts a day, and you can see how fast we can actually move when you account for everyone's different backgrounds, perspectives, and ways of thinking. And man, if you want actual results, you need patience. It would be much easier and simpler to just conclude that a forum isn't the right tool for this kind of mission. But wouldn't that be a waste? This is actually a unique and killer workflow model. We don't all need to be in the same room at the same time (notice the physics loophole there!). We can connect with people in other states, other countries, and different time zones. We get to leverage IT, digital archives, and everything else the web offers without the pressure of a venue deadline or worrying about running over our scheduled coffee break. We can collaborate regardless of whether someone is likable, unattractive, or even if they have bad breath; I don't need to know anything about them except what they write—and then I can decide to accept it or not.

For me, this is a one-of-a-kind way to pit my ideas against diverse, anonymous, and therefore somewhat unbiased thinkers. It lets me properly "bake" and stress-test my theses and theories on the road toward fundamental insights. It’s the only path that actually makes sense to me. And I mean *sense*.

It's obvious nowadays that you won't get anywhere without a reliable crew of diverse experts and, most importantly, a high-quality wormhole for rapid transport through dimensions. Peace out.

Nathan Rodriguez97 said:- This shouldn't be all there is. Shouldn't we expect more from a forum than just a game? ...

As J. S. Bach once put it, we are here for:
1. learning
2. fun
And honestly, everything else eventually boils down to one of those two.
He was talking about life itself, but I think it applies even more to this forum.
Think of it as one big game—it offers freedom, follows its own set of rules, and you can step away whenever you feel like it. 😉

PS: I'm completely lost when it comes to links. I'm a total self-taught beginner when it comes to tech stuff.😁

"... and things are just getting ridiculous" 😁

Forgive me if I'm getting a little too intense here—it feels like I'm trying to convince my shadow to stop following me and just become my twin instead. But hey, don't change who you are, because that's why you're awesome

If you guys could help me set some ground rules for this thing, I'd appreciate it. I hate starting a project right on the edge of a cliff. It reminds me of that one cartoon where twenty-two guys are playing soccer on an island barely bigger than a pitch, perched right on the edge of a massive drop-off into the ocean; the ball rolls off the side, and everyone just sits there staring at each other like, "So... what now?"

swiftcobra15, consider this an official request: please check with the higher-ups to see if we can borrow a few megabytes of server space to sketch out and test a little philosophical deep dive. Pleeease 🙂

🙂 Hey there!
I don't usually bother with greetings, but I decided to throw one in this time. Since this isn't a strictly moderated thread, I didn't want to just barge in out of nowhere without being polite—I wanted to make sure I was actually welcome here first. Honestly, maybe I should have just brought some homemade apple pie to the party and offered a slice instead...

City Hall, that’s funny—that used to be my nickname back in the day (T-Z). Guest, there are actually forums out there where you can rent out a private "room" using a specific login and password—think along the lines of an old-school message board setup—where you essentially lease space based on how much memory or bandwidth you need.

But honestly, if I'm being straight with you, I just don't have the bandwidth to maintain that kind of consistency... and frankly, I don't think it would be fair to the other members to demand that level of total autonomy and lack of accountability. You remember what I told you about motives, right?
In this situation, if I show up today and disappear tomorrow, it doesn't bother anyone—and personally, I don't feel any guilt about it.
