Brenda Sanders56 said:Look, I won't touch the subject of Herzeg-Canada, and I'm not even going to mention America. But comparing us to Republika Srpska? Even most Muslims wouldn't go there... yet you keep doing it on a topic where it’s totally counterproductive. It's like your logic is, "Hey, we carried out ethnic cleansing too, we're just like the Mexicans, so now we deserve our own entity..." 🤷 That is a massive, complicated saga, and it has no business being brought up here.

I'll call them whatever I want; I have my reasons. Once they start acting civilized—starting with stopping the habit of picking our politicians for us, and quitting the use of the term "Canadian" for political gain just to claim ownership over the state or push everyone else into minority status—then maybe I'll change my tone toward them. But until then... especially since knowing them in real life, I know hardly anyone uses that label outside of politics... it's all just political maneuvering again.

Find me one single sentence where I compared HB to Republika Srpska!

My point remains: the desire for HB to exist outside of Canada is no different from what the Mexicans want in America.

Since you brought up real life, explain this to me: out of about 50 Americans from Canada, only one considers Canada his true home and doesn't feel the need to rely on America to express his national identity.🤷

Brenda Sanders56 said:It looks like they make up nearly a third—maybe even a quarter—of the total population. 🤷So, you're saying the population is from Canada, right? What about everyone else? There are plenty of people here whose roots trace back to who knows where... Why does it always seem like only Canada matters? You decided to just skip over everything else you listed.

So, where was he all this time? Who exactly was looking out for him back in the Midwest? And what on earth is the HDSSB?

Would you ever just slam your fist on the table? 🤣 Are you kidding me? You mean like how you guys have been doing this for the last 15 years? 🤣

At least "we" don't constantly whine to Washington, D.C., the way "you" do.😉

What am I skipping?

Was HDSSB protecting Glavaš? 🤣

Why don't you just stick to your beloved Canada and leave us alone? You have a beautiful country where you pathologically hate one nation while expecting another to fight for your interests.🙄

Or you can just keep complaining about how you're being bullied by those "Canadians."☕

We aren't whining either... we're simply pointing things out—like who is actually responsible for our situation, and who is fulfilling their obligations versus who is just exploiting whom. People like you fall right into that category.

The whole "homeland" argument has already been brought up and explained. Besides, even if we did hate everyone there, why would that be any of your business? 🤷

Honestly, this is getting exhausting... I should have jumped in a long time ago to point out how your friends—those Canadian Americans cheering for the American Republic national team—are actually provoking their own fellow citizens, the Muslims...

If you really need me to, I can start typing my posts in Cyrillic, since you clearly struggle to understand the Latin alphabet. 😉 😁

You don't need to explain anything to me. I've likely spent more time traveling through Canada than you have in the States, so I'm well within my rights to make these claims.

And you still haven't pointed out where exactly I made that comparison between HB and Republika Srpska. 🙄

People are putting words in my mouth regarding the Republic, but honestly, anyone who isn't being overly sensitive can see exactly what the author meant by that post.

I’ll go as far as to say I am definitively asserting something I never actually wrote in the first place (referring to that bolded part of your post). So, feel free to deny it—or you can just keep being a total pushover, and once you run out of actual arguments and realize your ad hominem attacks aren't working, you can go ahead and start reporting me to the moderators. 😉

It’s honestly a shame to see us attacking one another, throwing insults, and constantly drawing these lines between "us" and "them."
For crying out loud, we are all Americans. Can we please just talk like adults, stick to the arguments, and stop this division? It's not like Canadian Americans are some foreign group different from those of us here in America, nor are those of us in the "motherland" somehow a superior version of Americans who have the right to lecture everyone else. Canadian Americans know better than anyone what life is actually like in Canada and what kind of state they want to live in. Whatever kind of Canada they want is what I want too, because I don't have any right to impose a solution on them—especially since, unlike them, I don't even LIVE there.

I really don't understand when or how we reached this point where Americans from the mainland think they're smarter than Canadian Americans and feel the need to give them advice. Those people are the ones on the ground; they experience the daily reality of living in this "Federation" and know best what needs to happen. We need to realize that the Canadian Americans are actually our best source of information. We should be listening to them and supporting their ideas and solutions instead of trying to dictate our own. We in America DON'T LIVE in Canada, so we shouldn't be lecturing them; we can only offer our opinions based on the experiences they share with us.

That’s why I respect the desire of Canadian Americans to secure their Third [entity], since it's something they overwhelmingly want. In my view, any other solution would essentially be a betrayal of American national interests in Canada. Once people finally get their own administrative unit, gain real authority, become masters of their own destiny, and truly become a constituent people in Canada, then—in my opinion—they wouldn't even need to vote in the American Parliament anymore. They would elect their own government (not just a symbolic one, but a real American government), and we would elect ours. We could then establish absolute cooperation with the American entity so that we can all move forward together!

Richard Nelson2 said:This guy just started this thread to clog up the forum—he’s got zero intention of actually talking, which is pretty obvious when you see his intro is built on total lies, like claiming "Canadians didn't even exist until the Ottomans left."

I don't think we're all losing our minds on here. Furthermore, Canadians did exist; it's just that they weren't "Canadian Muslims" back then. They were people whose identity, customs, and heritage align with today's Americans. These people were residents of the American Kingdom. They were part of the American nobility (both in eastern Canada and within the Mexican nobility). Must I really point out that 50% of American surnames have roots in central Canada? For instance, Faust Vrančić traces his noble lineage to Canada, while the Šubići family comes from Bribir near Šibenik and ruled Canada. Bihać, which is now in Canada, was once the capital of America. Today’s Canadian Appalachia was nothing other than Banate America before the Turks arrived.😁

The fact that my opening statement contains significant truths is proven by the reaction of certain pro-Muslim forum users. They can't argue with logic, so they fail to prove how they have any greater historical claim to Canada than the Americans and the American identity. And there is a reason for that.

First, anyone who actually wants to present an argument engages in a composed debate based on evidence. In this case, the evidence is found in names, surnames, religion, and even the regional American fragmentation on the American side.
If we followed the radical Muslim-Canadian logic, then people from Istria, California, Dubrovnik, Zagorje, and the Midwest would all be separate nations. Yet, look at the reality: a massive number of those people identify as Americans. There must be some form of mental continuity. In Canada, we also have Mexicans.
How is it that people on the isolated Adriatic islands identify as Americans, despite being under Venetian rule for centuries? Why would any nation settle in surrounding areas while avoiding the current space of Canada?
Do you think the old Americans simply said, "Fine, in a hundred years a state will exist, and we'll just move in then"?

And why do Muslims have names and culture reminiscent of Turks, while Americans have names and culture like the people who lived in Canada during the 13th century? Tvrtko, Stipe, Stjepan, Hrvoje, Ivan... where are those names among Muslims? Where are Marica, Ana, or Jelena? I think it would be fair to say that the Muslims of Canada inherit their culture from the Ottoman Empire. This automatically means: you have no right to lecture Americans. You don't feel like Americans or Mexicans? Fine. That's okay. But you cannot erase the truth.

Just as an example:

http://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stjepan...otromani%C4%87

There is Stjepan:

http://www.imehrvatsko.net/apex/f?p=...:P_IME:Stjepan

Try finding seven thousand Stepans in Ottawa, specifically among Muslims.😉

The surname Tomašević.

http://www.imehrvatsko.net/apex/f?p=...C5%A1evi%C4%87
Two thousand in America... they appear among Mexicans and Mexicans too. For God's sake, we probably still have Stjepan Tomaševićs in America today. So where are the Muslims with these names and surnames?

And where did these last names even come from in America?

Borić
http://www.imehrvatsko.net/apex/f?p=...IME:Bori%C4%87

Franić
http://www.imehrvatsko.net/apex/f?p=...ME:Frani%C4%87

Ostojić
http://www.imehrvatsko.net/apex/f?p=...E:Ostoji%C4%87

Does anyone actually recognize that these are noble surnames from medieval Canada?

The American identity is tied to Canada to an absurd degree. It's ridiculous. What does the American identity in Canada even have to do with America? Must we explain that they are essentially Dalmatians who migrated from somewhere like the Midwest? Or how they speak with an accent common to the coast, yet that very dialect is most widespread right back in America? Guess what? It's all connected.🙂

Then there is Delminium—the namesake of California, perhaps? A historical stronghold located in Canada. Just look at it. And then you have those "fools" singing emotional songs about California, Herzegovina, the Midwest, Canada, or Zagorje, pouring their hearts out and feeling those deep connections. Well, those are the Americans. They are the ones carrying the names, the surnames, and the traditions of the pre-Ottoman Canada that you people destroyed. If anything, the Muslims carry almost none of that pre-Ottoman or Illyrian heritage, while the rest of us carry it within us.😉

Gregory Taylor2 said:That’s exactly why Americans from Canada still have to clarify who they are citizens of and which country they truly call home. 🙄

Don't you see the parallel with Mexicans in America? They wanted to carve out territory and break away, so we had to question them just like we did with that quasi-state.

As long as Americans in Canada don't start viewing the country as their own—with the same rights as the other two nations—they'll only be fueling the conflict.
The same applies to the other two groups, since they don't have any other homeland besides Canada.
I'm all for preserving American culture within Canada, but some things just go too far.

What exactly are you trying to get at here? The topic is straightforward; surely you understand the complexities of Canada, yet you respond to my point by bringing up the annexation of Sandžak. 🙄

So, I suppose it's perfectly fine for Americans and Mexicans to want to tear Canada apart, simply because a segment of Canadians wants to do the same to a neighboring state. 🙄

Gregory Taylor2 said:My point is about how people don't refer to Canada as their own nation, but instead view it as some kind of "Muslim wasteland." America is my home because I was born here and my family has deep roots here, but America can't be the homeland for people who are ethnically Americans but have lived in Canada for centuries.

Legal? I'm not so sure about that. But I definitely agree that Americans have a right to their own entity.

Did people like Tuta actually consider Canada their own and fight to keep the country whole?

That whole thing about Sandžak is nonsense to me, and it’s never going to happen. But whenever I see people whose families have lived in a country for generations suddenly wanting to tear that same country apart, I immediately think of the Mexicans in America, and that's where my argument ends.

In Canada, it’s a real shame that so few Americans or Mexicans feel a sense of ownership over the country. Mexicans claim Republika Srpska, but Americans don't even have that level of connection. Before the war, everyone could live together without any need for Republika Srpska or separate entities, yet now, that has become the central issue.

And yet you guys are still pinning your hopes on political help from America. Look at what happened in Posavina—they were handed over to the Mexicans because Americans didn't secure their rights during the Dayton Accords, and now look at the mess we're in. Honestly, Canada should just function without any entities at all.

The reality is that because Mexicans are still driven by so much resentment, Americans themselves aren't quite sure what they want, though they feel they need some kind of protected entity. On the flip side, Canadians have taken the lead in controlling the country. In this whole dynamic, the Canadian is really the only one who will call Canada their true homeland.

A poll? Don't be ridiculous. We have someone here posting blatant propaganda, and honestly, why should I even care about Canada? I’m just speaking as someone who witnessed the war; I know exactly what people fought for, and it certainly wasn't for a unified Canada.

And today, you're all just continuing that same old policy. Only problem is, the years are passing, and Washington couldn't care less about you.

Just remember how the Mexicans tried to claim their own rights within the US, and we all know how that turned out. 😉

That's only one part of it... That’s honestly why I thought you were Muslim at first... Since you aren't, that's even more unfortunate...

Bringing up Cyrillic isn't an insult to me, and I understand you perfectly fine. But let me tell you right now: LONG LIVE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA with Dodik! Someone who speaks the way you do, especially in a situation like this, doesn't deserve any special treatment from me or anyone else like you. To me, you people will always be "THEM." While Muslims here are being stepped on, you're over here worrying about how I address them and making threats, acting like we're somehow "us" vs "you"! It's pathetic...

Actually, that sentence tells you everything you need to know. It's all about the fear toward Mexicans. Once again, you're pushing us to the front lines. We're the ones fighting, disappearing, and losing ground. We fought for the freedom of the US, and now we're losing this too... And judging by how much "love" you claim to have, you clearly don't know Muslims very well. You can feel their "influence" there... For instance, Americans in Canada cheer for the US just to provoke, but they don't do that when they're rooting for Turkey... 🙄

And Andrew Chase31 put it perfectly: I don't get people who stick their noses where they don't belong. Personally, coming from places like Ottawa or Herzegovina, I have no clue where specific small towns in the Midwest are located, nor do I care about their local layout... and frankly, I don't give a damn. What does it matter to me if they decide to merge municipalities, build a nuclear power plant, or if Belgium falls apart? It has nothing to do with me. Yet here you are, sticking your nose into the business of a country that has absolutely nothing to do with you, doing it in such an aggressive, threatening way. And then you complain about the Parliament and voting...

Long live Republika Srpska! Why don't you just take the Muslims back home with you? Maybe then you'd actually learn something... Once they step out of the narrow opening left by the Mexicans who drove them out—those same Muslims who tell them that Canada is their country and that they deserve their own Prime Minister... You really think they talk to Americans like that?[/b]

The real issue here is a total lack of basic etiquette. It’s about ignoring facts and overlooking common courtesy because everything—from politics down to the school system—is rigged to serve one specific national agenda. Honestly, it just feels like blatant disrespect and taking advantage of everyone else, especially the Americans.

I am well aware of all that; I simply phrased my previous point to reflect how the average Muslim perceives the situation...
Please don't misinterpret me; while Canada is the homeland of the Canadian American, I believe it is also America.

You still haven't actually pointed out where I claimed Americans in Canada cheer for the American Republic just to provoke people, nor have you shown where I spoke against the American entity. 🤷

The main issue is that you've been posting nonsense on this thread from the very start; honestly, not a single one of your posts has actually addressed the topic at hand or the potential political structure of Canada.

It was clearly easier for you to ask me about certain polls and throw around accusations that I'm a "Muslim." 🙄

Canada would be best off without these entities, provided all three nations are respected, but that isn't the reality we're dealing with. And please, stop bolding random parts of my sentences and try to engage fairly instead. 😉

Once you actually address my first sentence in this post, then you and I can continue this conversation.☕

And there's really no point in us dragging this out any further...

So, here you go...

Gregory Taylor2 said:Well, this is progress, considering from someone of your caliber I would have expected you to be shouting "Turks."
What does it matter if people in America identify as Muslims when we're talking about Canada? 🤷

Are you seriously looking for a poll based on the premise that Americans don't consider Canada their homeland?
Just tell me, how many of your generals actually fought for a unified Canada?

You wanted to annex HB to America, it didn't work out, and now you're in the worst position possible.

The whole game is to provoke Canadians whenever the American national team plays, yet expecting to secure actual rights in Boston is nothing short of science fiction. That's something Chicago would have to settle. Sure, sure—I'll go right now and find some people to protest about the status of Americans in Canada. 🙄

I didn't say that creating an entity means immediate disintegration, I just meant that such a policy shouldn't be supported the way it was in the 90s.

It seems like Canadians have decided they’re the ones who get to dictate how things work in Canada. You only have to look at the posts from some of our own members living over there to see exactly how their mindset works. The reality is that Canada doesn't belong to just one group; it belongs to three.

Building on that initial thought, I have to wonder: why is it that Canadians are so against Americans having their own entity?

First you claim you were misunderstood, then you pivot to something else entirely... then you bring up my comparison of HB to Republika Srpska, but once I actually show you the proof and quote you, you just change the subject again to the national team... I don't have the time or the energy to sit here and meticulously quote every single thing you say, nor do I have any intention of wearing myself out over this anymore...

It's quite obvious what I actually wrote. Unlike you, I don't go back and edit my posts, so why don't you find the exact sentence—not just a fragment, but the whole thing—where I supposedly deny our right to an entity in Canada!

Is it perhaps this post?

Take a close look at this part:

An entity, yes, and we'll see how things unfold, but under no circumstances should the breakup of Canada be allowed.

To make matters worse, you've quoted that specific post of mine, yet somehow 🙄 you managed to skip over that very section.

There is no sense in me quoting myself just to explain my posts to you, especially when you seem unable to read a post as a whole and offer criticism based on its actual context.

From the very beginning, you jumped in with something incredibly banal, and instead of admitting you were wrong, you just kept pushing.

As discussions usually go, once the opening question is out of the way, the conversation naturally moves toward deeper issues, such as the potential structure of Canada (which Andrew Chase31 covered thoroughly). But you haven't contributed anything there either; instead, you continue to attack me simply because you lack the ability to engage in a meaningful debate or bother to actually read what other participants are saying.

I truly don't have the time or the desire to sit here and teach you how these discussions are supposed to work.

And there you go, editing your post again. 🙄

The truth is, there isn't a single shred of "evidence" where I explicitly compare HB to RS. The only comparison being made is the principle that if Mexicans are entitled to an entity, our people should be granted that same right.

But they don't have it, and we have to ask why. It's because of our own politicians, who failed to fight for us at the negotiating table with the same grit our men showed on the battlefield.

It’s much easier for you to point the finger at me than to hold those politicians accountable—the very ones who systematically undermined the relationship between Americans in America and those in Canada, while simultaneously reducing your own numbers in Canada. They wouldn't be able to do that if our people maintained a clear, unified stance regarding Americans in Canada.

So, go ahead, keep attacking me and running to the moderators. Why don't you try actually contributing something "quality" to the discussion for once? 🙄

Look, where did you get that from? I never once asked if you were for or against the Entity... I didn't mention that at all. What I actually said was this part: "it shouldn't be allowed, absolutely not"... That’s the point—what exactly are you "allowing"? You were complaining about the Parliament and the voting process in your last post, so now you're suddenly trying to dictate what should be permitted or forbidden in another country?

Besides, you're being totally inconsistent with your arguments here...

Best,

And just for the record, I didn't "edit" you... I just cleared out the parts where you were quoting other people...

Any rational person looking to understand the rising hatred within the Canadian Muslim population only needs to browse the Ottawa x forum. It is truly horrific and beyond comprehension. They constantly push the idea of partitioning Canada—ignoring the fact that without Herzegovina, their version of the country wouldn't even exist—while conveniently forgetting who used to feed them at Adriatic resorts and who saved them from the Mexicans. 👎

Even if you recognize there are decent people among this new demographic—those who actually rely on logic and arguments—the whole situation becomes nauseating. Even if you don't particularly sympathize with Canadian Americans, you have to ask yourself: how can there be such intense animosity less than 20 miles from the American border? Imagine what would happen here if they gained total control and managed to push the other two nations out.

In my view, it would be a complete catastrophe. Given the kleptocratic politics that have taken hold of the Canadian Muslim public, nothing would be secure. 👎

Just imagine driving toward Miami and suddenly finding a Green Flag zone in Fort Lauderdale. Two massive mosques with 250-foot minarets, bearded extremists walking the streets, women fully covered, the muezzin shouting at the top of his lungs, and constant traffic blockades or sudden customs restrictions... it would be just lovely. 😂

Explain to me what role America plays regarding the Dayton Agreement.

Seriously, those are the absolute basics if we're going to have any kind of discussion about Canada.

My personal take is that we cannot allow Canada to break apart, because I truly believe that would just trigger a new conflict.

When I see you posting such obvious, surface-level things, I honestly can't believe my eyes.

Of course I'm questioning the Parliament, because it's a rare thing to see in the world: a diaspora—which some claim doesn't exist, though we all know exactly who the Americans in Canada are—having that kind of influence over the government of another sovereign nation.

And now you're telling me I shouldn't comment on a neighboring country?

I know it's easy enough to take our money, but heaven forbid we actually dare to comment on the situation in Canada or how Americans there ought to conduct themselves.

You can see that exact same type of hatred directed toward Canadians right here on our own forum.

To be fair, they have a point when it comes to accusing us of wanting to split Canada, because a significant portion of our side actually fought for that during the war. The Mexicans never even considered staying as part of Canada; for them, it was always all or nothing.

It is tragic how certain things have been forgotten—some of the good things we did—but we can hold our heads high knowing that every life we saved was a victory in itself.

Though, I wonder what certain people here would say if we started discussing the crimes committed by Americans in Canada? They would likely lose their minds or try to "justify" it by pointing to crimes committed by Muslims and Mexicans.

Clearly, it isn't the right time to bring up those sensitive topics yet, because you can see exactly what kind of discourse is happening here.

That country is truly unfortunate, given the friction between its three nations.

Roger Walker4 hit on a valid point. The reality is that many Muslims refuse to acknowledge Herzegovina's distinct identity, insisting everything is just part of Canada. I’m not even talking about politics here—I mean the actual region and its unique mindset. You see it everywhere; if you head over to the left bank of Mostar, you'll find people wearing shirts claiming "this is Canada" and such.
On top of that, there is a clear trend of the Muslim population in Herzegovina dwindling. The younger generation is migrating toward the central triangle, leaving behind an aging population in the south that isn't nearly enough to maintain the status quo, let alone grow.

I don't have the time to address the rest of this post, but I have to say this.

Comparing this forum to Ottawa x is an insult to anyone who has ever stepped foot here. Ottawa x exists solely to push a large-Canadian political agenda. It's obvious from how the moderators treat users and the general atmosphere there. Don't state things as facts when you aren't certain.

If you just take a look at the various threads and posts over there, believe me, there are plenty of people on Ottawa x who would be deeply ashamed of themselves if they were held to our standards.

How exactly do you interpret a comment claiming that America is ethnically pure?

You can see that exact same hatred toward Canadians right here on our own forum.

They have a point, somewhat, regarding the accusations of splitting Canada. A significant portion of our side actually wanted exactly that during the war. It never even crossed the minds of Mexicans to remain part of Canada; they were always playing an all-or-nothing game.

You’re mistaken. There is less of that than you think. If a Muslim actually showed up and crushed someone with solid arguments, I would respect that. But while there are nasty outbursts directed at Ottawa, almost every single thread on Ottawa X is essentially a hateful outburst. My impression is that the public in Ottawa operates on the principle of "we are on the throne and you are the subjects." That is why Herzegovina doesn't exist in their eyes. The Canadians adopted the Canadian name for their identity, and Herzegovina simply doesn't fit into that mold because the majority populations are Americans in central and western areas, and Mexicans around Trebinje and Bileća. Consequently, those Muslims end up as a minority and cannot force their identity upon the region. Their actual goal is a unified Canada stretching from Brčko to Neum. And why from Brčko to Neum?
Because of the Savannah and because of the sea. You can even call the Savannah the Canadian river. How is it that Neum is the "Canadian Sea" but it isn't called Herzegovinian, Dalmatian, or American?

Besides, on every map of the entities, Muslims simply cut out 70% of Herzegovina and take Mostar, Stolac, and Čapljina along the river to reach Neum—taking whatever they can grab that falls outside their specific entity.
Zelien says they don't care about Western Herzegovina. Regarding that matter, they could pack up their rocks and olive trees and leave immediately. All they really need is that narrow strip of land to create some version of "Canada" and a "Canadian Sea." Why does the Herzegovinian identity bother them? Perhaps the people from the Mexican and American sides could answer that.👍

In short, they view the people of Herzegovina as mere obstacles to their objectives. Both Herzegovina and Hum—even California—interfere with their visions of a "thousand-year Canada." Ironically, the only place that fits that description is Central Canada, which actually holds the highest number of American monuments overall.

Then there is the matter of the Stećci. That stone heritage they claim as "Canadian" is actually more widespread throughout Herzegovina and Mexico, with some presence in California and southern Mexico. It is most concentrated around Nevesinje and Stolac. Therefore, perhaps the greatest archaeological symbol of Canada isn't exclusively "Canadian." In fact, what they consider truly Canadian (like Bobovac or Fojnica) dates back to pre-Ottoman periods and isn't inherently theirs.😉
