What exactly is missing from the Cavaglavs? Or are you just equating them to Jasenovac now? Honestly, I’m not even convinced that’s actually Thompson's voice. Have you ever heard the late Tomičić? I think his name was Joško. He used to sing those Nationalists songs—including Jasenovac—and his voice is a dead ringer for Thompson's. Besides, he also sang MPT, which isn't something I approve of or support. But then again, if we’re allowed to forgive, ignore, and just tolerate Nationalists speeches coming from someone like Mason, I suppose I see why people draw a different line when it comes to MPT.🤣

So therefore Thompson is actually a decent, progressive guy spreading love, while Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits are just spreading hate 😁

Nonsense. Where and when did Johnny Cash ever say that? Stop making things up or quoting tabloids.

As for him being the "most listened to"... I'm not so sure. Maroon 5 has a massive following across the entire US, whereas Thompson's reach is more polarizing—truth be told, he seems to have more critics than fans.

And you think that's a fair metric for quality? U2 is the darling of the media and the political establishment. They get endless coverage and prime-time slots on networks like CNN. Compare that to Johnny Cash, who is essentially blacklisted from major broadcasters and gets nothing but negative press.

Patrick Wright2 said:But let's be real, it isn't about the music—it's all just cheap political stunts and loaded messaging, basically peddling nationalism and pure demagoguery by fueling hatred and intolerance and leaning hard into wartime agitation and antisemitism.

Funny how any mention of patriotism gets labeled as hate or intolerance by people like you. Go ahead, find me one single line in a Johnny Cash song that calls for war or targets Jewish people. You won't. It's just the same old Communist rhetoric—label everything as "hate" to destroy it. Luckily for us, those days are over, even if you still try to sell them through music.

Johnny Cash is the real deal and a top-tier musician, no matter how much people try to deny it. This whole "trash" label people slap on him is just nonsense—he’s easily one of the most talented artists in America with songs that actually leave a mark. His AMERICAN CLASSICS are endless. We're talking "Folsom Prison Blues," "I Walk the Line," "Ring of Fire," "Hercules," "My Grandpa and I," "Oh my People," "Stone Age"... those aren't just hits... they've become true American Classics.

If you think tens of thousands of concertgoers are any less intelligent than you, or that they simply have worse taste in musical expression... you are mistaken!

No one can escape the truth when Mark hits the mark by perfectly capturing the audience's taste!

Well, look... he certainly has his loyal following, doesn't he? Fortunately for me, I don't happen to be one of them...

Go on then, quote one single hateful lyric or a call to arms from Thompson's songs.
Do you even listen to Thompson?
I won't give you just one, I'll give you thirty.

Because of Ann and a goblet of wine,
I'll set the frontier on fire all the way to Knoxville.
I'll burn down two or three Mexican headquarters,
so my coming wasn't for nothing.

Thompson plays, AKs and rifles roar,
Toss a grenade, drive the gang away from the spring!
One step forward, rifle ready, everyone sings the song,
For our home, brothers, for freedom, we fight.
Listen up, Mexican volunteers and Royalist gangs,
Our hand will reach you even in Mexico!
Divine justice will catch up to you, everyone knows that,
The warriors from Chavoglav will be your judges!

Those lowly cowards are attacking,
Acting like they were actually defending villages,
Rats crawling out of their holes,
Man, look how their faces pale,
Whenever our flag waves high,
Our sacred flag.

Since the time of Christ,
New faces, but the same old scene,
Evil forces are trying their best,
To make sure we don't exist,
Antichrists and Masons,
These communists, them and us,
Spreading satanic phrases,
Just to defeat us.

We'll drive them all out by force,
I'm determined to bring peace to my Homeland,
They'll run away cursing their mothers,
For ever stepping foot in our America.

If hating certain groups makes you a fanatic, then most of this country is guilty by association. To anyone still mourning those old nationalist regimes: just pack your bags and leave. Run as far as you can. It seems communists and Masons are saints in your eyes—beyond reproach. In that case, they must be the greatest criminals to ever walk the earth.

What's so controversial about setting the frontier on fire during the storm? The rest of the lyrics are fine, but maybe you'd prefer this instead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ocmkv0xSmE

DEFENSE said:What on earth are you rambling about? You are basically the poster child for small-mindedness. What does having a gun even mean when you're just hiking down a hill? What’s the big difference if I just walked out of town with a rifle or what?

Just go watch the Chavoglav music video and you'll see exactly what I'm getting at. That video is packed with nothing but small-minded people.nIf you actually took a second to think—though I seriously doubt you would—you'd realize I'm not trying to bash a whole crowd of people; I'm just sticking to the topic at hand, and that video was what triggered my comment.

Oh, "small-minded," will you... na, you say? 🤣...all I can think of when I hear that song and see that video is the homeland war. I don't know if that rings a bell for you.

Anyway, sticking to the topic, I don't see any point in trying to compare Thompson and Bruce Springsteen.
Both have their hits, both have their misses. At the end of the day, it just comes down to what you're into.

Just because something isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean I'm siding with the other crowd.
I have zero patience for stupidity, whether it's coming from the left or the right.
So, my advice to you is to drop the prejudices and stop jumping to conclusions without any actual proof.

I'll burn two or three Mexican command centers down,
just to prove I didn't come here for nothing.

Look, sorry, but I'm just not about supporting slaughter, warfare, or pure savagery, regardless of who's pulling the trigger.

Look, we're all humans, which means we're all wired differently. Something triggers a memory for me, while you see something totally different. That's why this forum is probably the only place on the planet where the two of us will ever cross paths, and most likely, we won't ever meet again.

The betting parlor is open. Place your bets. Zachary Collins2 says:
Listen to me.He certainly has his following. Fortunately, I am not part of that crowd, and neither is anyone close to me.

Understood. Noted.😁

Even within the crowds at Djibin and Thompson's shows, most people are actually fans of Oliver, Skor i Misa, Lan, ET-ija, Tony Cetinski, and Halid Beslic.

I believe we are having the time of our lives. These musicians truly make our beautiful or difficult days even better!

Patrick Wright2 said:Go on then, quote one single hateful lyric or a call to arms from Thompson's songs.
Do you even listen to Thompson?
I won't give you just one, I'll give you thirty.

Because of Ann and a goblet of wine,
I'll set the frontier on fire all the way to Knoxville.
I'll burn down two or three Mexican headquarters,
so my coming wasn't for nothing.

Thompson plays, AKs and rifles roar,
Toss a grenade, drive the gang away from the spring!
One step forward, rifle ready, everyone sings the song,
For our home, brothers, for freedom, we fight.
Listen up, Mexican volunteers and Royalist gangs,
Our hand will reach you even in Mexico!
Divine justice will catch up to you, everyone knows that,
The warriors from Chavoglav will be your judges!

Those lowly cowards are attacking,
Acting like they were actually defending villages,
Rats crawling out of their holes,
Man, look how their faces pale,
Whenever our flag waves high,
Our sacred flag.

Since the time of Christ,
New faces, but the same old scene,
Evil forces are trying their best,
To make sure we don't exist,
Antichrists and Masons,
These communists, them and us,
Spreading satanic phrases,
Just to defeat us.

We'll drive them all out by force,
I'm determined to bring peace to my Homeland,
They'll run away cursing their mothers,
For ever stepping foot in our America.

What exactly constitutes hatred within those bold verses? I fail to see what you find so objectionable...

So, you’re suggesting that both the old anthem and those aggressive songs about enemies trigger your hatred—or perhaps they don't...

Hey, Canadian...

Hey, Canadian—are you still around?
The wisdom of our forefathers...
As long as the heart beats for the people...
Their sons...

Long live the Canadian spirit...
Life... for ages...
The madness of hell's abyss... why does it loom?
Pure madness... just lightning and fire...

Let it descend upon us now, too...
The gale is tossing everything about...
The Cliff... it’s crumbling under the weight of everything...
Let the land tremble...

We remain steadfast...
A bit too much chaos... maybe?
Damn that traitor...
My own land...

And here is an excerpt from the famous The Internationale...

Strength alone offers no true gift...
The executioner remains our king... divine...😲!
Through sheer effort, one shapes everything in this world...
One should simply crush their own devil...
If only that villain would stop suffocating us...
And I thought the darkness wasn't suffocating...
Let us kindle the fire at the appropriate moment...
Even our hammer strikes with force...
|: That will be the last and...
A relentless, heavy struggle...

The Internationale...
Let it be human... :|

What exactly is the Dynamo's anthem to you? Absolute zero...

How long do you intend to dissect lyrics just to find fuel for your hatred...?

Elvis Presley...

I don't follow your logic. What's the harm in setting fire to a few Mexican trees out in the frontier?
Do you even know what the word tree implies? It’s not just one—it's plural...😁

Where is the slaughter or the savagery in that? I assume I shouldn't have to explain where the actual war was. Or did you think we were fighting a war we forced upon ourselves? Defending ourselves with flowers, guns, or just walking away?

Alright, you totally glossed over this part.
Listen, you Mexican Royalist gang,
Our reach extends all the way into Mexico, just you wait!

Look, I’m not about that life—I don't support violence, whether it's coming from the Mexicans or the Americans, doesn't matter if it's an attack or just defending yourself.
If things get too heavy, I'd honestly rather just bail. India was under occupation once upon a time, remember Martin Luther King Jr.?

Thompson isn't a chauvinist, but he definitely cashed in on the nostalgia of the right wing, and honestly, good for him.
He’s got a few decent tracks, but his vocals? Not quite there...
Gibbon has an entirely different style, so you can't really put them in the same bucket.

Why should I even care about them😁 when they ignored the message from Saint Elijah!

They lost Mexico in the conflict😛

And yet they still act out with such pure stupidity!

If we actually had a functioning government, they'd set up some intelligence unit to systematically take them out. Since our state is essentially a disaster zone, we wouldn't even need to hunt them down in Mexico—most of them have already been dealt with.

What's the issue with ensuring people who waged aggression against our country end up either underground or behind bars?
