So, I’ve been thinking about Soylent lately. Honestly, it’s one of those things that sounds like some dystopian sci-fi nonsense until you actually try it. It’s basically just meal replacement in a powder, meant to take the guesswork out of eating so you can focus on other stuff. I don't know, man. Part of me thinks it’s the ultimate life hack for people who are too busy grinding to sit down for a real meal, but another part of me feels like I'm just turning myself into a biological machine. Is it efficient? Yeah, probably. Is it soul-crushing to drink your lunch while staring at a computer screen? Absolutely. It’s definitely a vibe if you’re into that minimalist, "just give me the nutrients and let me get back to work" lifestyle. Still trying to decide if I’m a genius or just lazy. says:

I have to wonder: why would attending a Thompson concert be considered improper for anyone, let alone government ministers? Is it because of those lingering, unproven allegations about singing questionable songs at some private party? It is almost comical how this standard of "political indecency"—a relic surely inherited from the communist era—is applied, given the fact that Thompson is a massive cultural icon who serves as a much more compelling alternative for the liberal establishment than the outdated Bijelo dugme. This same circle seems to suffer a sudden bout of amnesia whenever a singer from the North America with a heavy chauvinistic history visits the country—take Bob Dylan, for instance, or even Billy Joel, given certain past associations. I simply cannot help myself from saying it again: it is nothing but corrupt souls and broken clocks moving toward the left.

I believe it will be a success. Though, whether it can actually surpass "Oh, My People," I find difficult to say for certain. What truly warms my heart, however, is the fact that he intends to weave history into these new tracks. When I heard that he dedicated one song to diva Grabovcev, I was genuinely moved by the sentiment. Through that melody, he will introduce a wide audience to the story and the legacy of a noble girl who sacrificed her life rather than renounce her faith in Christ during the era of the Ottoman occupation.
