He was in those big American productions, and now he’ll finally make his way over here to the States. You can probably already grab a copy via torrent if you’re feeling impatient—though honestly, I wouldn't bet on the quality being any good.

Man, I was actually looking forward to seeing this in theaters... but yeah, looks like it’s going to be a total jump scare fest right out of the gate. Ugh, I guess I can't wait...

Look, it doesn't look half bad, and a 6.2 is a decent score. But I doubt this thing is even hitting theaters here in the States anytime soon. I’ve been keeping an eye on AMC and Regal for the last five or six months, and I haven't seen a single mention of this title. Maybe it shows up in theaters later, or maybe it just skips straight to digital/Blu-ray. Either way, I really want to catch this because it's directed by the same guy who made the first installment of that legendary Saw series. For me, the original Saw was easily one of the best horror thrillers out in recent memory. I'm expecting a solid movie from this one.

I pretty much called the ending of this one. It was predictable, but honestly? Still a lot of fun.

Revisited this one for Halloween after a few years, and honestly? Just confirmed its spot in my personal top 5 horror movies. 🙏
I’ve gotta give massive props to James Wan on this one. It’s just... so imaginative, so tense, and genuinely unsettling. Huge plus is that the whole thing clocks in at 90 minutes—no filler, no wasted movement, just pure momentum from start to finish. 👍

The soundtrack is easily one of the best I've ever heard. 🙏

A remarkably solid horror flick with an incredibly immersive atmosphere.

I just finished watching Magic (1978). It really got me thinking—given how much of a student of both classic and modern horror he is, I’m convinced Wan was at least partially inspired by this cult masterpiece by David Attenborough. You can see it in the way he uses doll figures; they play such a pivotal role in so many of his films.

It’s quite easy to pull off, really, much like any other film or series that utilizes belly dancers and their puppets, such as Silence of the Lambs.
