I kind of assumed they might actually film it, but I'm still pretty surprised it's happening. So far, AvP looks really promising, though there aren't tons of shots or scenes out yet, which is probably for the best. Since AvP is originally a PC game (there's a sequel too), it makes sense to turn it into a movie, just like how they did with Tomb Raider or Final Fantasy. I know it's probably way too early for a > like this, but I'm honestly getting hyped. I've watched both Predator movies a bunch of times, and I've seen all four Alien films too. I really think this could be a massive blockbuster, what do you guys think? You can find more info here:

p.s.: you should definitely check out the Movie Trailers (with sound) 😉

What's the deal with the Governor acting in this? He won't, and even if he did, it would be total garbage.

The first mention of Alien vs. Predator was actually in Dark Horse Comics, if I remember right... probably back in the late 80s or early 90s. So, the games definitely didn't start this thing. From what I've heard about the movie, it doesn't look like the script is based on the comics or the games at all. And honestly, I wouldn't get my hopes up just because of Paul Anderson. Out of his last five movies, most were just mediocre, and I’d put Soldier right up there with the absolute worst films ever made. But hey, maybe someone will be foolish enough to expect better 😁

Since they're already filming Alien vs. Predator, they might as well get Alien 5 and Predator 3 in the works too.
.....just in case you guys didn't know😁 😁 😉

Where'd you get that?

...honestly, nowhere else—neither before nor after—did they ever use a 6-barrel Minigun quite as effectively as they did in AvP 1...

Maybe you mean Predator 1, when they were out in the jungle?

The source...
It was some movie show on PBS that aired on Thursdays or Fridays from 6:30 to 7:00 PM.
I think it was called "Perfect World"

A movie show that used to air on Thursdays or Fridays from 6:30 to 7 on the second channel.
I think it was called "Perfect World"...

man, they don't have a clue what they're talking about. They just read some rumor on some sketchy website where some fat geek pooped himself and suddenly—bam—it's news, it's a fact! you gotta watch who you trust... I say stick to Variety or Hollywood Reporter.😁

You're spot on, slyrider16!

Ridley Scott has actually mentioned he’d be totally down to direct Alien 4 if someone could just come up with a decent script.

But you know how it goes—between the broken telephone game and people "fact-checking" things on the internet, some overeager "film journalists" have managed to spread this ridiculous rumor that Scott somehow already filmed a sixth installment.🙄

I’ve got some reservations about having Paul Anderson—the director behind "Mortal Kombat," "Soldier," and "Resident Evil"—at the helm here.👎
At least he’s acting alongside Lars Henriksen,😁

I think the title was "Perfect World."

It's just a bummer that I can't catch any local US shows from here (except for the main ones via web stream). Maybe everything they said about Alien 5 and Predator 3 was just fake news anyway.😉

It’s kind of like how *The Matrix Reloaded* and its sequel felt—sort of parallel to that.

UFFFF, this looks like a total train wreck—basically all the worst parts of a movie rolled into one. Honestly? Whoever comes out on top... we all lose.
p.s. For those of you who haven't seen Alien vs. Predator

So, I was just catching this on the radio that the movie might actually drop later this year. I tuned in halfway through, but all I gathered was that the director is currently linked to Milla Jovovich. Has anyone else heard anything about that? What’s your take?

I jumped on the call just as they were talking about it, but I missed the full context. Apparently, there's some buzz going around about the director being linked to Milla Jovovich lately. Has anyone else heard anything regarding that? What are your thoughts on the situation?

I have a feeling this might be a total disaster, mostly because Paul Anderson hasn't managed to deliver a single good movie in his entire career. Honestly, thank goodness this turns out to be his first real win, right?

Man, how do I keep falling for the same old tricks?

I was actually holding out hope that this could turn into a decent flick. Even the fact that it was helmed by that total geek Paul Anderson didn't completely kill my optimism.

And now, here I am, reading all these reviews tearing it to shreds. Honestly, I don't think they're wrong. It really wasn't ever going to be a good movie. That’s just how things are done these days.

It’s a real shame, though. I let myself get hopeful because, frankly, I'm desperate for someone to finally recapture that specific atmosphere—that certain grit and soul found in the best SF films of the 80s...

It actually could have been something special, maybe even a masterpiece, if James Cameron had directed it. He’s basically built for this kind of stuff.

Looks like instead of wasting money on a movie ticket, I'm better off just renting both original movies and grabbing some beers...
