I actually dug the whole pyramid interpretation and the hunter cult stuff, but I just can't stomach the next part.

😕 That Black woman’s arrogant, condescending attitude being shoved down our throats as leadership? Please. In the real world, a cow wouldn't last five minutes under that kind of pressure. A true leader people actually follow isn't defined by aggression and ego, but by self-control and intelligence.
😕 Sure, all Predators have portable X-ray scanners, yet some baby-Alien still managed to hitch a ride inside a Predator and get onto the ship;
if those guys were really that stupid to miss that, then the Predators are basically a race of morons.

spoilers

I caught this yesterday at Cinemark, and man, the sound design nearly blew my eardrums out 🙂—those Predator blade sounds were intense
.
The movie itself was just okay, I guess—fairly average entertainment
.
It seems they left the Queen in the water, probably so they can drag her back for some sequel later on
.
The Predator is way too soft on that woman; he does so many favors for her, it’s almost like he’s hitting on her
.
I don't really see why an Alien coming out of a Predator would be any stronger. Who says their genetics even mesh well with the "host" genes? Personally, I think they'd just end up tearing each other apart
.
The Queen didn't attack the Predator because she felt threatened (they aren't exactly ExxonMobil, for heaven's sake), but simply because she was VERY PISSED OFF, which is how Alien Queens usually are
.
That acid spraying from the Alien's tail wasn't even a defensive move—it was just spraying acid. I mean, does anyone else bleed defensively when they're attacked?
.
There was this brief shot where the woman who gets hit by the facehugger first (in bullet time 😁) is reloading her pistol on the ship. You rarely see that kind of detail in movies. And it's such a small thing, but honestly, it matters 😂
.
Did anyone else notice that the guy playing the character looks just like Spud from Trainspotting? He's actually quite good 🙂.

Maybe the Alien with the wire marks is the first one with an actual personality? It feels different from the others, like it has its own identity. Unless there was something like that in Alien 4 that I missed
.
None of the gift-giving, scarring, or accolades toward the woman felt right—there was just too much of it, and then she gets a high-tech spear, which feels like total overkill. Compare that to when Danny Glover gets that 17th-century pistol as a tribute... now that was a great moment
.
Can you imagine Predators ejecting from those pods, flying out of the ship, and slamming into Earth without any deceleration for gravity? "Wow, man, that's fast. Holy crap, I'm spinning, HAHAHA, here we go!" 😁

I’ve been watching that one for quite a few months now—it's been a while! —but honestly, just having a digital clip wasn't really doing it for me, since I remember seeing it on the big screen at the local AMC. There's just nothing like that theater experience, you know? That said, I did end up watching it again on DVD, which was a nice way to revisit it!

I just finished watching the movie.

One major flaw with this movie is how they forced the connection between the humans and the Predator. I honestly thought the Predator was going to take out the lead heroine right when they started exchanging those intense, lingering glances.

Another downside: that fight between the Alien (the one with the mesh pattern on its face) and the Predator.
It was filmed in that typical MTV style—you know, where the cuts are so rapid-fire that you can barely make out what’s actually happening on screen (even though Catwoman is right there). 🤮 He’s the record holder on that particular subject.

One very strong aspect of the movie: the special effects are actually excellent, especially considering this was just a mid-budget production.

Hannah Ward11 said:Given how much both audiences and critics absolutely trashed this thing, I was honestly expecting it to be total garbage. Turns out, it actually exceeded my expectations.

Honestly, I’m actually relieved that AvP doesn't have anything to do with the actual Alien movie.

I actually really dig how they handled the Predators in this one. Plus, that whole dynamic between the Black woman and the Predator? Honestly, pretty cool.

The movie is a total no-brainer. It’s the kind of flick where you just sit down, grab some popcorn, and kill ninety minutes without a single distraction. Honestly, I loved that they didn't drag it out. Keeping it tight was definitely the right call.

The only thing that actually pissed me off was this one part... they just tossed the mother ship into the water. Are you kidding me?! The freezing ocean will kill it instantly... it'll just suffocate... seriously?! Absolute stupidity.

I've been on the same page as Hannah Ward11 from the very beginning. Honestly, I was even losing sleep over this yesterday... those kills by that beast are just absolutely brutal.🤣

The ending was absolutely stellar... everything else was just mediocre. 😁

P.S. Seriously—how many times have the mods had to lock this topic? 😂

The movie where Alien vs. Predator happens. To be honest, looking at Predator, it's just a joke, and the Aliens wouldn't stand a chance. But then again, it's all just a movie...🙄

And yet, Aliens and Predator 1 remain untouchable.🙏 🙏 🙏

A solid flick. Great snacks, even better company, and a fantastic ninety minutes well spent! It’s the perfect kind of movie where you can shout out your commentary or mess with your friends in the theater without feeling guilty—in fact, it actually makes the whole experience more fun! 😁

You want that kind of flick where the audience isn't just sitting there like statues—you want a movie where the crowd is part of the damn show. 😁

You’re just standing there, grinning like an idiot while someone taps you on the shoulder with a baseball bat.😬

Absolutely disgraceful. 😬What is he even rambling about? Instead of talking, he should be honored to have your foot crushed against his skull while I let out a melodic scream. 🤣

Finally got around to watching the movie.

It’s a total disaster.🙂

Seriously, not a single scene actually landed for me, and the stupidity is just constant.

The few fight scenes they included are way too short and filled with so much rapid cutting you can barely see what's happening.

Then there's the plot holes. Endless ones.

And honestly? The story itself is a wreck.

I'm giving it a 2/5, and that's purely because Alien and Predator are such cool characters.

Otherwise, it's a 1.

I feel exactly the same way—disappointed is an understatement. I’d give it a zero if that were even an option. Honestly, I have no clue why some people are actually leaving positive comments on this garbage.
The captains basically just took the money and ran.

The big shots basically just screwed everyone over.

The movie was on rental, and I was actually thinking about grabbing it. ($17 So, I guess the movie becomes yours? My wife actually sat me down and gave me a decent, normal movie to watch. Honestly, after sitting through that garbage, I’m just relieved I didn't hand her my pick instead. $17 I mean, why even bother with that trash? You’d just end up feeling like an idiot.

I don't usually bother writing reviews for movies I watch, but I had to jump in here because this one was absolute garbage.

It’s a bummer, honestly. I really think they could have done so much better with this one.

I'm not even going to waste my time imagining what a sequel would look like.🙄

I don't usually make a habit of writing reviews for everything I watch, but for this particular disaster, I felt compelled to state that it was complete rubbish.

It is a shame, really, as I truly believe it could have been executed much better...

I can't even begin to imagine what a sequel might look like, nor do I care to...🙄

Captain, I honestly can't remember the last time I sat down to watch a genuinely good movie...🤮

The movie is decent; it starts off a bit slow, but overall it's interesting
Well-designed and imaginative
The fight scenes are well-directed
It feels like the screenwriter was reading some Lovecraftian madness...
Since I love Predator, all the Alien films (except maybe the third one), and similar movies—I had a blast

In theory, I thought it was a brilliant concept that could have yielded a truly great film...

However, what immediately killed my interest right at the start was the lead actress. Her voice was just incredibly grating and nasal, her makeup was excessive, and she had this overly stylized, "cool" persona—jumping around, that pretentious opening scene where she’s climbing over ice, and all that nonsense...
If they had at least cast Angela Bassett, it might have worked. To me, she comes across as fierce, athletic, and combative, yet still graceful without being superficial (assuming the role required a Black woman).

I’ve always believed that a character facing off against an Alien or a Predator should look terrified, battered, bruised, and completely disheveled—like Arnold, just relieved to be walking away with his head still attached. But instead,😁 we get to watch this woman leaping through a labyrinth as if she’s starring in some flashy 50 Cent music video.

I'm honestly a bit bummed that I felt the urge to watch this again.😁

In my opinion, they probably could have made the movie much better than it actually was.😁
But, since I'm such a huge fan of Alien, I suppose I can enjoy anything involving it.😍
