First time I've ever heard of an 82-bit... I thought we only dealt with 86-bit (32) stuff ☕

Or maybe it was actually 86, I couldn't really tell, my eyes aren't what they used to be.
Just wondering if that's just how they label a 32-bit system
'cause honestly, I have no clue.

Keeping it simple without getting too technical.

That felt a little condescending, honestly.
Look, we aren't all geniuses who have everything figured out. If I don't ask about something, how am I supposed to actually learn anything?

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just flat-out refuses—no warning, nothing. Why? I’m running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, and honestly, I feel like I’m losing my mind over this code. It’s got admin rights and everything, yet here I am feeling like the idiot because it works one minute and fails the next. Seriously, what the hell is going on?

It's like the code thinks it's the admin and I'm just some idiot. One minute it's fine, the next it's nothing... what the hell is even happening?!

you sure you aren't running a knockoff version of Windows 😁

Did you get it working?
It looks like they bumped up almost all the drivers except for the BX-1500/2500 series. They even released a new remote driver, but for some reason, it’s just not doing anything for me. I shot them an email, so we'll see if they actually bother to reply.

On the bright side, everything is running smoothly over at AverMedia, even on W7 🙂

I’m in desperate need of some assistance here, if anyone would be so kind as to lend a hand.
Admin, please move this post to the appropriate section if I've landed in the wrong place...

I recently made the jump over to Windows 7, which was quite the transition considering I had been settling into life with Windows Vista and Outlook Express for quite some time.

I seem to have lost access to Outlook entirely, and my attempts to get my email back up and running have been nothing short of frustrating; the Windows Mail app I’m currently stuck with simply refuses to respond, leaving me only able to glance at the unread count to see how many messages I've missed in the meantime.

I’ve finally made the jump over to Thunderbird, and I've successfully migrated all my email accounts over to it.

I find myself wondering where my recent correspondence has vanished to; specifically, I am looking for those emails that supposedly arrived over the last few days but seem to have slipped through the cracks of my inbox entirely.

I trust my meaning comes through clearly.🙂

"Outlook Express isn't available in Windows Vista or Windows 7—you can't download it or run it on either version of Windows." (link)

Well, I suppose I finally see what you mean now...

Anyway, I just finished installing Windows Live Mail and it turns out all my mail arrived there without any trouble at all. 🙂

Best, Noah Sanchez39!

How can I change my Windows Live Mail language settings from American to English? This current setup is ridiculous; I can't navigate anything like this.

Just head over to your mail profile in the top right corner—look for "Options," click that, and you should be able to swap the language there. Easy enough.

That option isn't available there. I just get those generic settings: sending, receiving, signature, composing, connection...

My bad, you gotta actually log in to your Hotmail or Windows Live account first. Once you're on the home screen, look at the top right corner
where the settings are. Open that up and you should see the language options. Just pick English—or whatever you need—and you'll find all the other languages in there too.

I've been using
Windows Live Hotmail
with those specific settings, which is how I switch the language

Man, my bad... I totally misread you.
I thought you were asking how to swap the language on Hotmail or Windows Live

But I was just digging around my PC and realized I actually have

Windows Mail installed too, and I just opened it for the first time today.
Sorry for giving you the wrong directions earlier.

You can grab the Windows Live Mail software here. Just pick your language and hit "Download now"

To access the Windows Live service, go here or just use the link above (look for "Sign in" in the top right corner); once you're logged in, you'll see the interface language listed at the bottom right, and it's easy enough to change
