That means they probably opened that account ages ago. Lately, any account opened here in the States gets slapped with an automatic limit—like, maybe 50 or 100 bucks for the NBA games and stuff like that.

I just opened my account about two months back.
They’ve got me capped at $1.88. Absolute garbage of a sportsbook.

The limits are stuck at $2.00—what a joke of a sportsbook.

That sounds rough..

What kind of sports or leagues are you betting on, and what do your typical stakes look like?

I heard a rumor floating around that the crackdown on online betting is supposed to kick in starting January 1st, 2015.

So, which sports or leagues are you betting on, and what kind of roles are you playing?

I’m going to say this for the hundredth time—we aren't discussing specific betting roles here. It's strictly against the subforum rules.

My bad, I didn't realize that since I've only been following the last few pages. Though, isn't that actually pretty important for this situation? After all, that's usually what leads to account freezes.

Then you can just upload your payment receipts and all those transaction slips, and we'll have everything squared away.

Please don't argue with the warnings—just take a second to read over the subforum rules.

I suggest you start a dedicated thread specifically for discussing betting limits—whether we're talking about the major online platforms or the local sportsbooks... that way, we can dive into the actual numbers without any interruptions.

Not happening—I feel like I’ve already typed out the reasons why at least fifty times now.

It’s probably because:
a) you're hunting sure bets
b) you're constantly chasing the best market odds

The majority of players in America fall into category A or B, which is why DraftKings likely slapped an automatic limit on all new accounts from the US—capping them at about 10% of what they should be. Honestly, someone put it perfectly once: they just aren't looking to bring in too many players from the States.

If you play max bets on things that aren't even sure bets—or don't necessarily hunt for the absolute highest line on the market—you can definitely bump that limit up. But let's be real, at the end of the day, it all comes down to how much of a winner you actually are...

Why on earth would anyone ever attempt to play the absolute maximum role allowed when it comes to bankroll management? Is it not far more prudent to simply aim for about 10% less than the ceiling, thereby ensuring you stay blissfully under the radar of any watchful eyes?

And if I may add one more vital piece of wisdom for those of you navigating these waters! Please, for the sake of sanity, refrain from placing bets like 23.57 or other such nonsensical amounts; instead, why not just stick to nice, clean, "round" numbers like 24? You will find yourselves facing significantly fewer headaches because those odd, fractional wagers are flagged almost instantly by systems looking for anyone attempting to manipulate surebet margins.

Does anyone happen to have an old account at DraftKings with high limits for live betting? Please shoot me a DM; I’m willing to offer a massive reward for the right account.

steelpilot29 said:Look, I posted the exchange rate table above; it’s hardly some classified government document, and it’s sitting right there on their website. Just be careful about which options you select when using an ATM. For heaven's sake, never accept the bank's offered conversion rate—those things can balloon up to 7.0x or 7.1x.

The whole comparison between Skrill and a standard US bank account or credit card really depends on the specific bank, the transaction amounts, your Skrill tier, and so on. In my experience, the bank ends up being slightly more favorable, but I personally prefer avoiding them entirely.

The money in a betting account isn't exactly hard-earned cash, so why hand over more than necessary? And if you're heading into a branch to ask for advice, just remember: most tellers at big banks like Chase or Wells Fargo don't have a clue what they're talking about. I've learned that lesson a thousand times over.

So, if the rate is 7.61 (which is what's currently listed on their site), and they tack on that 3.99% fee (the one they use for transfers between USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, PLN, etc.), does that mean I'd actually be getting 7.31 per dollar at the ATM?

Not quite.
I pulled some cash from a Chase ATM the day before yesterday. Do the math based on this rate:

@ Sean Flores27: I think what you’re talking about is just converting funds from one currency to another within the app. You can actually hold two or three different currencies in a single Skrill account, but you might want to look into the specifics of how they handle the conversion fees. Personally, I only deal in USD, so I'm not entirely sure how their multi-currency setup works in practice.

@ nextgame: Honestly, I'm impressed you were able to focus at the ATM for that long! 😉 It's a total toss-up whether you'll actually land that sweet exchange rate from JPMorgan Chase ☕

Just the other day, I pulled some cash out of a JPMorgan Chase ATM, so you can run the numbers yourselves:

Right, so that 3.99% rate only applies during internal transfers. Great news. 🙂 I’m with Bank of America, but I assume the difference is negligible, aside from whatever decimals they decide to shave off.
Thanks for the assist 👍

It doesn't really matter which bank you use; they all tend to offer pretty much the same exchange rate. Just be smart about when you withdraw—maybe try a smaller amount first to test the waters? If I recall correctly, JPMorgan Chase had certain limits $0.70 and they don't always ask which rate you want at every ATM; instead, they just automatically apply their own rate and tack on a service fee

.

Hmm. So how am I supposed to avoid an ATM that hits me with a fee if some ask and others don't? 🤷
I won't be pulling out huge amounts, but still...

It’s straight-up robbery. Pure arrogance, honestly—not even giving you the option to handle the conversion yourself. 🙄

Is it just me, or is BetMGM blocking new sign-ups from America? I can't even select the US in the residency field.

So, is BetMGM pulling out of the US market because they just can't make the math work?
