Just so you know, if you happen to have an old account where you’ve already made a deposit, you should be able to keep using that one without any trouble!

Honestly, there just isn't any other way to go about it.

I don't really have anything else to say, other than to emphasize once more: if these proposals actually pass, sports betting in America (at local US betting shops) is basically dead.

If I understood you correctly, just adjust the maximum margin to 10% instead of setting it as the minimum.

I won't go on too much about it, but still...

When I first started using this card, I went through all my options and ended up using JP Morgan Chase, Royal Bank of Canada, and Citigroup. All their ATMs are basically the same, so everything is just incredibly straightforward. I think Wells Fargo has a similar setup, but they aren't quite as widespread, so I dropped them.
Maybe things have changed for some people, but honestly, you don't really need anything more than this—they're on every corner.

Just the other day, I pulled some cash out of a Citigroup ATM, so you can do the math on the exchange rate yourself:

So you actually got a 7.63 rate without any extra fees?
Which Verizon tier are you on, if you don't mind me asking?

Is anyone actually betting on DraftKings? Like, does anyone from the US even bother registering there? I'm looking at the sign-up page and I don't see USA anywhere on the list of available countries when you try to register.

USA Wait, so when you're actually going through the registration process, does the state show up on the list? Or am I just overthinking this whole thing...

They banned them. It’s ridiculous... they made way too much money on live betting over here in the States, and now suddenly they're pulling the plug. 🙂
It’s honestly pretty pathetic when you look at the big picture. It seems like those Russian betting sites just aren't interested in catering to American users anymore. It’s actually kind of sad... I mean, you have these massive global gambling giants, huge players on the world stage, and they’re actually intimidated by a market as small as the US? It’s wild if you think about it... just total cowardice from the big guys...

It is most likely because those Russian betting sites are operating under some pretty shady circumstances, wouldn't you agree? 🙂

DraftKings is capable of such absurdly foolish maneuvers that I am beginning to suspect they might be doing this intentionally just to launder money! They are incredibly risky when it comes to capital security, and they have a knack for imposing account limits almost instantly, don't they?

BetMGM pulls stunts so ridiculous I honestly start wondering if they’re doing it on purpose just to wash money. They are incredibly risky when it comes to actually protecting your cash, and man, do they know how to hit you with those account limits fast.

I heard that every single new account over there gets slapped with the lowest possible limits right out of the gate.

Betway pulls stunts so ridiculous I honestly start wondering if they're just doing it to wash money. They’re incredibly sketchy when it comes to protecting your bankroll, and they’ll slap you with a limit before you even realize what hit you.

Honestly, I’m not even surprised. At this point, I don't even know which sites haven't capped me out yet. It's getting pretty pathetic.

Unbelievable—it looks like I’m the only one they aren't limiting at these offshore sportsbooks.🙂

Distinguished colleagues,

If this absolute garbage of a bill actually passes and they start taxing gains from $500, I know many of you are claiming that fleeing to offshore online bookmakers is the only way out.

However, there is one thing weighing on my mind:
how is a person supposed to navigate this landscape when it is common knowledge that those foreign sites heavily restrict their players?

What is one meant to do if a bookie refuses to let you deposit anything more than $100?

I was wondering if someone might be able to lend me a bit of guidance on a situation I find myself in. I recently received a bonus through my account at DraftKings, and I am trying to navigate the math of it all. To give you some context—and please correct me if I have the scale wrong, as I am still getting used to these increments—I initially deposited 4 units, and then I was granted an additional 4 units as a bonus. So, I had a total of 8 units available to play with. I decided to take a bit of a calculated risk and placed the entire amount on a single wager at odds of 2.54, which ultimately paid out to 20.3 units. Now, I am sitting here looking at this balance, thinking about how I should proceed if I actually want to walk away with something substantial to spend on a nice dinner or perhaps a weekend trip. I am struggling to figure out the optimal way to wager these remaining units—specifically, what kind of odds should I be targeting and how many units should I put down to ensure I actually see a profit I can use? I have been scouring the site, but I simply cannot find any clear direction on this. Thank you so much for any insight you can provide.

Take a long look at those bonus terms if you actually want the truth.
Betathome, I suspect there’s a deposit requirement and then you have to wager the bonus three times at a minimum odd of 2.0, maybe even less... which in your case means 24 units before you can even think about requesting a withdrawal.

I can't seem to find any mention of the specific bonus requirements, or perhaps I'm just looking in all the wrong places. Does this mean I could potentially play four bets at 2.05 odds, followed by another set of four at 2.05, and then finally request a withdrawal? I did try sending them an email to clarify, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

edit: actually, I managed to track it down.

Before you're allowed to withdraw, both your deposit and the bonus amount have to be wagered six times (6x). This applies to tickets with total odds of at least 2.00—whether they are singles or parlays—and must be completed within a 90-day window. For those users who deposit more than $200, the total wagering requirement climbs to $2,400. (For our friends over in Germany, that figure sits at $2,520 due to local tax regulations.)

So, if I understand this correctly, I have to essentially cycle through my entire winnings at 2.0 odds, and then do that five more times over? Honestly, it feels like they design these rules specifically so that nobody ever actually sees a dime of profit... 😢

So, look, your total stake on the tickets needs to hit 48. Since you've put down 8 so far, you've still got 40 left to go. That could be 40 single bets, 20 doubles, or whatever way you want to play it...

Gary Carter8 said:So, essentially, if you want to hit that target, your total stake on all your tickets needs to equal 48. Since you’ve already put down 8, you still have 40 left to go. You could spread that out over forty single-dollar bets, or maybe twenty $2 bets... honestly, you can play it however you see fit.

Ah, I see. Thank you, that clears things up quite a bit for me. So, if I were to take these 20 picks I have right now at odds of 2.0, that would mean my current investment is 28? And then, if I just do another 20 times 2, and the outcome hits, that would be the finish line? I appreciate the help so much.

Yeah.

But you don't have to drop all 20 at once. You could do 5, then 2, or whatever works for your budget... just make sure the total hits 48 (assuming you keep the minimum odds at 2 on your ticket, obviously). Once that's done, the money is yours to do whatever you want with.

The usual scene—this forum is just packed with "wise guys" who love to mock everything, yet they never bother offering a single actual solution... or heaven forbid, they actually step up and engage in a public debate with the Department using their real names, since they’re clearly too terrified to show their faces.

Look, not every sportsbook handles things the same way. They don't all jump on you at once, and they certainly don't drop your limits to rock bottom immediately. And hey, if everything else goes south, you've always got Pinnacle—they don't limit anyone, so you don't have to sweat that part...

Alright. Let’s say this insane piece of legislation actually passes... how exactly would they handle the taxation process?

Suppose I have a winning ticket showing a profit of $667. Would a company like DraftKings immediately withhold $67 to hand over to the IRS, effectively dropping my actual payout to $600, or do they wait until I actually hit the button to request a withdrawal?
