Nicole Kim11 said:From what I’ve seen, everyone seems to be raving about Viva... even those other two bands I’ve been tracking. One of the regulars on here, Blackie, used Viva before—you might want to shoot her a DM for the real scoop, but if I recall correctly, she was absolutely thrilled with them. As for the other two, I can't quite place who used them... maybe try digging through this thread 🤷 a bit more... but honestly, I haven't heard a single bad word about any of them. Just a heads-up, Viva stays pretty booked out... they keep a full schedule of availability right on their website. Good luck...

I actually heard a rumor that some folks refused to pay Viva because their set totally ruined the wedding... yikes. Apparently, they had three gigs in a row, and the lead singer sounded like a raspy chicken! The guests were basically yawning through the whole thing...

I picked up some textured paper over in Malibu, though I also saw that Procter & Gamble stock sitting near the Sysco and Maplewood facilities down in San Diego. I actually ended up grabbing some of those square, glossy sheets from the latter...$1.25 It’s a solid piece. You can find them in all sorts of different shapes and varieties out there...

You should check out International Paper over in Malibu. It’s a bit of a trek to get there, but honestly, the prices are solid. You're looking at about $0.83 for envelopes. Plus, they have just about any kind of paper you could ever dream up.

Hey everyone...

I was wondering if I could grab a little help from you guys—does anyone happen to have a contact for an accordion player (since the party is up in Savannah) or maybe someone who makes those delicious croquants? Like, someone working down by the marina or something... I’d be super grateful!

Went for a fitting at FedEx, and honestly? A total disaster...
They had exactly what I was looking for, but the condition was absolutely pathetic. It looked like it had been butchered for a maternity fit—you could literally see white loose threads sticking out from old alterations, and there were even cigarette burns on it... UNBELIEVABLE!!!
So, I had to pivot and find another option: went with Victoria's Secret, size 42. Picked it up last week.
I’m wearing it to a wedding on May 8th, then I’ll get it professionally dry-cleaned and put it up for sale....
Retail prices in US boutiques usually run around $3.00

Here’s the link so you can check out the dress photos:

I'm not entirely sure if this site is even live—I haven't had the chance to check—but I pulled it from a brochure at a wedding expo...

All those women in California who couldn't stop raving about that Levi's salon—the one that kept moving from Santa Barbara to San Diego to San Francisco—are officially out of luck. They’re closing down. Now, all the girls who were unfortunate enough to put a deposit down on their wedding dresses need to figure out a Plan B fast. And as for that one person who spent all her time praising them while trashing every other shop in town? She’s gone silent lately, and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a very good reason for that.

Hey there,

I’m looking for some solid recommendations—give me all the intel and personal experiences you can muster—regarding bakeries, pastry shops, or even home catering services for a party I'm hosting over in Savannah. Thanks!

Sarah Anderson79 said:I haven't heard of the band Flash, but I ended up booking Suzy and the band Tempo. I've seen the shots she took for my girlfriends, and based on what they told me, they were beyond thrilled. Her albums are incredible, and she actually gave them more than what was originally agreed upon! They say she’s super creative and a blast to work with, but somehow stays totally professional on-site too. I met her myself—she is absolutely wild and just radiates such positive vibes. As for the music, I've listened to Tempo at a couple of parties, and honestly, they are the best. Just a group of high-energy guys who know how to kill it on stage. Hope this helps even a little bit! Good luck, Casey Foster40! 🙂

Tempo is playing in my head too. They're great...

ironmarlin32 said:Hey ladies, I’m looking for some photographer recommendations in San Diego. I’ve been searching online, but honestly, most of them don't even have decent websites, so any help would be huge. I’ve heard great things about photo Mark from Old Castle and Profoto in San Diego. If anyone here has used either of them for a party, could you let me know how they were and what their rates look like? I’m also hunting for a good band based in San Diego—specifically curious if anyone has hired Calypso and what they charge. Choosing both a photographer and a band is proving to be such a headache... 😢

Thanks so much!!!

I'm going with Tempo for the music, and for photography, I've settled on Philip. They’re going to be performing at my big day, and honestly, they are fantastic. Now, I should probably mention that we happen to be friends outside of work, too, but even without that bias, their talent is undeniable.

Gregory Campbell56 said:I have a wedding coming up in 4 months and I already booked Martina. She did my friend's makeup and she loved it, plus I saw Sandra Lopez2 recommending her here.

Look, I don't want to rain on your parade, but I have stumbled upon a few less than stellar reviews regarding her work. Then again, that seems to be the way of the world, doesn't it? One person walks out feeling like a Hollywood star while the next one is left scratching their head. At the end of the day, the most vital thing is that if things don't turn out quite how you envisioned, you make sure to speak up immediately and insist they fix it until it's exactly what you wanted.

Thanks, you guys actually helped a ton... heading down there this Saturday, hoping to finally get this little headache sorted out!

Hey everyone...

Does anyone have recommendations on where I can pick up some brittle in San Francisco? I'm also looking for a spot to get some smaller cakes—nothing huge like a wedding cake, just some nice pastries or treats.

Whole Foods usually has some pretty solid stuff.

Hey guys! Quick question—is anyone here actually into Kocka-Band? I’m thinking about grabbing their stuff for a little party later, but I haven’t really caught them playing live yet. So, if you’ve seen them, please give me the lowdown... is it worth it?

They usually play every other Friday night at Vibe Cafe over in Savannah, on the main strip, and then once a month at Favorit in downtown Atlanta... they tend to get booked up pretty far in advance though. If I were you, I'd track down their contact info online—they have a website and a Facebook page—and just reach out directly to see where they're playing next and if they even have an opening for your date...👍>

I’d go for it. Their frontman also handles vocal harmonies, which is a nice touch...
