Man, everything in San Francisco has become so ridiculously expensive lately... My florist back in Boise charges me $800 just for all the same stuff—that's for setting up thirty tables with floral arrangements and candles, plus an extra bouquet for the toss

I really don't get that kind of vibe; the dance floor was basically just senior citizens having the time of their lives...
while the younger crowd just sat there at the tables.

That’s actually exactly what my sister told me 😢 as for that other guy people keep recommending on here, I have zero interest in reaching out. If I just Google "summer hits," I can find plenty of good tracks myself 😁

You can find Sposa in Spokane too!!!😉

Honestly, everything is just so repetitive $833
I went shopping with my sister a few days ago and, frankly, it was a bit of a nightmare... I really wanted to snap a photo of her in the one wedding dress that actually flattered her silhouette, but she shut me down—apparently, she didn't want anyone being able to track down that specific dress online.

And when it comes to pricing, the newer styles are $2000
mostly... dresses that you'd see in San Francisco or Los Angeles for $2000—meaning the latest collections
are identical, but we found the exact same thing at a bridal boutique in a small beach town for $500.
On top of that, they throw in a boutonniere basket, some hair accessories, bridesmaid dresses, and a garter for free.

The woman working there was just way too intense—my sister tried on about 30 different dresses, and honestly, it was mostly because she kept pushing her.🙂

I have a question for the group: which hair salon would you recommend for modern wedding hairstyles? I am not looking for those old-fashioned updos or traditional buns, but rather something contemporary and stylish rather than the usual stuff.

Thanks so much!! 🙂

I just sent that contact over to you; I honestly can't recommend him enough.

Exactly. I’m actually starting to think about hunting down a florist who can pull this off for a much more reasonable price... maybe someone based in the outskirts rather than right in the heart of San Francisco.

Maybe try that salon in San Francisco...🙂 right above the Westfield mall

Regarding Ariel, my boyfriend's younger brother's experience was a disaster; they ruined his sister's prom dress. She looked like an old lady in a corset and skirt (honestly, she would have been better off wearing just an anklet—she would’ve had the same level of horror for much less money). This was especially frustrating since I used them a year prior and had a great experience; I picked a dress straight from the window that was custom-tailored to my frame, and I was satisfied (a grey, short, powder chiffon number with the golden braid). I have two other secondhand accounts: my boyfriend's niece and her best friend both bought dresses for a wedding. The friend bought a floor model directly from the shop, which fit perfectly, but the niece ordered a custom grey jumpsuit that was poorly constructed. The top kept gaping open, so a local neighborhood seamstress had to sew in elastic just to keep the girl from being exposed. Personally, I find it offensive that these two botched prom dresses were so overpriced, especially considering the fabric was sourced from a local discount textile shop (even the sales clerk there confirmed they source materials from there frequently—I sew, so I frequent those shops). In my opinion, they are hit or miss, much like a certain ice cream chain. Use them at your own risk.
Kurbasina's wife had an okay dress, though I can't tell if it was due to her pregnancy or the cut, but she ended up looking like a Michelin Man... They really should have suggested a different silhouette.

It’s better if you walk away; this woman claims she’s the "most honest," implying you can get away with anything you desire—what a delusion and what lies, all while selling the exact same story to everyone... She’s arrogant, tedious, a coward, and rude... quite frankly, the worst and most unprofessional woman I have ever had the misfortune of meeting—EVER (by the way, word travels through the local suburbs that she’s nothing but trouble)! My advice? Stay far away from that whole group; they are all unhinged (from Annmarie and Jane to Miles)! Their main line is always, "I'm the most honest one, these other places will just trick you into wearing a short dress—you know how those girls from the salons look when they walk out?" Essentially, they lie about everything and are exhausting... And Mila is the absolute worst of them—she drags anyone she can to pull her up (she owns the best salon among them, so she acts superior)
If you don't pay for quality, you'll pay for the consequences! You try to go the cheap route, and you end up eating garbage... ☕

Peter Collins90, I knew it was Miles behind that post on the local forums the second I saw it. What can I even say... I actually lucked out by having my awkward encounter with her right at the start, rather than waiting until fifteen days before my wedding like you did. It’s just classic, isn't it? She goes around bragging about being the absolute best and most professional in the business, yet this supposedly high-end boutique owner doesn't even know the difference between chiffon and... whatever she calls it! She’s been running that shop for years and still hasn't bothered to learn basic fabric names... It's honestly embarrassing. Anyway, I really hope you manage to find a dress you actually love, one that makes you forget all about whatever Miles was trying to sell you.

I'm just starting my search for a wedding dress, and the last thing I need is a disaster like this... I feel so bad for you. Seriously, there is no way in hell I'm stepping foot in Mila's shop. At this point, it's probably better to just head straight to La Perla and see Danielle. Everyone raves about her work; presumably, the woman and her staff actually know what they're doing.

Sorry, which boutique in that Impossibly small town has those affordable dresses?

Hey everyone!
Does anyone have any creative ideas for thank-you gifts? I’m looking for something meaningful, because honestly, the usual stuff just won't cut it. I'm definitely not thinking about photos (ugh, please no), little angels, candy, candles, or magnets. That's all just so cliché... help me out!

Between La Perla and Glamour Sposa, those are really the only two boutiques where you can find stunning dresses and staff that actually care about their customers. Even the shops over in the neighboring states are top-tier.

You could always pick up some little bottles at a local boutique near San Diego, or just order them online from somewhere like Amazon and fill them yourself with some fancy scented bath salts... It would probably run you about 6, $2.25 if you're doing it that way...

It's not a bad thought, but I'm really hunting for something completely fresh—I honestly haven't a clue yet.

toncek111 As stated by:
I find myself contemplating the sheer variety of hair salons one encounters while navigating through San Francisco. It truly is a fascinating landscape of artistry and technique, isn't it? One moment you are stepping into a high-end establishment in a sleek downtown loft, and the next, you are tucked away in a cozy, neighborhood spot that feels more like a friend's living room than a business. Each place offers such a distinct atmosphere, much like how different cities across America possess their own unique soul. I often wonder if we prioritize the prestige of the salon name over the actual skill of the stylist, or if we simply seek that specific feeling of being pampered after a long week. It makes one realize that finding a great barber or stylist is less about the location and more about that rare, perfect alignment of vision and craft.🙂 Just above the Mall of America.

Sananda, I find myself quite perplexed—where exactly is that located right above the Joker?

Kyle Chase20 said:Hey everyone, I really need some help... Does anyone know of a restaurant, a hotel, or somewhere similar with an oceanfront terrace? I'm looking to host a wedding dinner for about 20 people. I guess I would prefer somewhere in Miami or maybe along the Southern California coast! Thanks... Any advice would be so appreciated
🙂

I think there are a few decent restaurants over in Malibu, and honestly, with a group that size, you should have no problem finding something since it's not an overwhelming amount of people.

Thanks a ton in advance... :-)

"My Little Cookies"—well, if you're actually talking about a bakery, because I haven't heard of any flower shop by that name:-) but their treats are seriously amazing. Last year I was at this big party and they had cookies from there, and honestly, you can really tell the difference from the usual stuff; they taste like genuine, homemade goods. You could probably even swing by just to do a little tasting. A friend of mine is actually going to order some from them for an upcoming party, and I think they go for about $20/lb
