I still haven't nailed down my HAIR, MAKEUP, or my FLORIST.
I really need a hairstylist and a makeup artist who can come out to me (near San Francisco)
And honestly, if the florist could be right nearby too (around the Bay Area), that would be killer.

So, what's the verdict on these:

marija bosancic (mic style) VS ivana anic-Ljubic
lucija spajic VS tina kalinic
cvitak VS ???

Thanks a million for any info, stories, suggestions, or even warnings... ;-)

Maybe try looking into a cafe in San Francisco or maybe Zbirac near the waterfront.

The absolute best of the best... I wonder if they take orders for custom cakes and pastries?

The San Francisco Starbucks? Wasn't that formerly a Pigs location?

You can, though they aren't cheap.

That old Starbucks used to be right where those Pigs were hanging out near the Flu—basically where the Walmart is now.

There's also that Dunkin' bar and restaurant—I can't recall the exact name right now—but the atmosphere there is quite nice...

You could also look into Jabba Doo or Stella Mares... I know for a fact they rent out their space, since I actually spent some time at those venues during the festivals back before the pirate era.

The only issue would be if, after the party, they don't want to deal with getting in a car and hunting for parking near the downtown cathedral.🙂 Finding a spot near the cathedral can be a total nightmare when weddings are in town.🙂

The other day, while I was wandering through a small town in the Midwest, I happened to pass by Stella Mares and noticed it was completely shuttered. It looked quite neglected, almost as if it hasn't seen any business in years. Perhaps they are simply waiting for the summer season to kick off, or maybe they are searching for a new owner altogether.🤷

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if anyone here has any firsthand experience with hosting a wedding at that restaurant in a small town in the Midwest during the summer?

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm new to the forum, so sorry in advance if I mess anything up... Anyway, I wanted to share where we're at with our wedding planning. We finally booked a venue that comes highly recommended—people have nothing but good things to say about the food, the space, and the service. It’s a gastro-style hall, formerly an NBA arena, priced at $42 per person... The place is massive, and they offer this crazy lighting setup (which costs an extra $2 per person). Honestly, I think it's worth it 🙂 because it looks incredible, plus you get your own dedicated "lighting technician" for the night to sync everything with the music and the flow of the evening, whether it's dinner or dancing. The hall holds about 370 people. We're expecting around 220, which is perfect for having round tables 😍 instead of feeling cramped. For the band, we've been looking around and The Beach Boys seem like our top choice; they have a female vocalist, which was a must for us, and they're charging $1600. We've heard great things about them, too. As for flowers, everyone I've asked pointed me toward Christian Dior—they said he's a master at what he does and won't let us down. For the cake and desserts, they suggested Fantasy from a small town in the Midwest. Since we're originally from Seattle but living in San Diego, all these recommendations are incredibly helpful. If any of you have experience with these vendors, please chime in—good or bad... I need to know what to expect mentally, and it's not too late to change plans if we need to. Our date isn't until June 21st, 2014.

Thanks in advance, cheers everyone, and happy Easter!!!!!

I’m not entirely sure what the place looks like these days, but I actually attended a wedding there recently, and I have to say, it was absolutely wonderful.
To be honest, the owner is a bit of an odd character, but when it comes to the actual space, it’s lovely. I can't bring myself to lie about that—even if the guy himself isn't exactly my cup of tea.🙂
I have a few shots from my recent trip that I can upload, though I might need to find a better way to present them so they don't just clutter up the feed.

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here ever held a wedding at the Fortress in San Diego, or maybe attended a reception there?

What are we looking at for the price per head? How was the food and the service?

Any info would be appreciated. 🙂

Hey there,
I'm on the hunt for a dance instructor in Miami who is actually reliable and easy to work with—someone who can really help me with choreography too.
If anyone has a solid recommendation, I would be seriously grateful!

Nicole Watson said:That’s actually exactly what my sister told me 😢 as for that other guy people keep recommending on here, I have zero interest in reaching out. If I just Google "summer hits," I can find plenty of good tracks myself 😁

We had dupli spinning for us, and I couldn't agree more with those sentiments. He plays exactly what you coordinate with him beforehand, and honestly, he kept the dance floor packed with everyone from the older crowd to the younger generation from start to finish. The guy knows how to create an incredible atmosphere—his ability to interact with the room is just wild because he reads the crowd perfectly, and everyone was absolutely loving it!

And I just assumed that was how it would be... but I don't know much else! Personally, I prefer his style over the other guy, who isn't really my thing. Either way, the second one seems a bit too reserved for me. My husband says the guy is fine though, and that everything can be worked out with him beforehand. Plus, he's a little easier on the wallet, so I might end up leaning toward that option...🙂

This just popped up in my inbox, might give you some inspiration, though it’s very much in that classic American style...🙂
