I've never actually been to Friends myself, so I can't really tell you what the vibe is like, but if you're looking for a smaller crowd—say, around a hundred people—then my vote goes straight to Ino.

Greetings everyone!
I’m a new face here on the forum, so please forgive me in advance if I step on any toes or break any rules.
The wedding is set for October 18, 2014, in San Francisco. Since I’m currently living in Vienna and have to coordinate every single detail from halfway across the country, things feel a bit overwhelming, which is why I want to get a head start on the planning.
We’ve already locked in the Gastronomy venue, and honestly, after hearing such glowing reviews, I was absolutely thrilled that we managed to snag the date. But now, some people are starting to second-guess me, claiming I made a mistake and that we would have been much better off booking the San Antonio hall (Miro’s Oasis) over in Draga. What’s the consensus here?? Is that venue in Draga truly superior? I’m starting to get a little worked up—was choosing Gastronomy actually the right call? 😢
On top of that, my friends mentioned that the Zaratino group is excellent, so I’d love to hear what you all think about them.
Thank you all so much in advance for any help or insight you can provide.

PS: Please excuse any typos; since I don't live in America, my grammar isn't exactly my strongest suit. 😢

Hey, we actually booked the gastronomy experience too. I’m not sure what people told you to make you feel like you made a mistake, but all we’ve heard are glowing reviews. Anyway, I sent you a DM, so let's just chat over there!

And regarding the turnout... we're talking about 160 people. I guess I'll just keep searching... or rather, wander from stall to stall... 😉 thanks.

I haven't actually gone club hopping myself yet, but I've heard some prices... though don't take my word as gospel. Anyway, places like Bolero, Aria, or Friends are around $45, while that spot in the suburbs is about $38—I even saw a mention of something for $30 recently. Then you've got Robot and Imenjak listed on TTTS for maybe $38 and up. Honestly, if you head further out of the city, it gets way cheaper...
As for Friends, I was at a party there with like a hundred people once. Didn't really do it for me. Low ceilings, too many pillars, tiny dance floor...

I was checking out different spots about 4 or 5 months ago. Aria runs at $38 on Fridays and $40 on Saturdays (though they’re pulling in at least 130 people on the weekends), Friends is $40, but honestly, feels way too cramped for my taste, even if the location is killer. Velum hits $40 for the standard menu...

So, on Monday, I finally pulled the trigger and bought some pieces from Vagrus—a mix of yellow gold with custom engravings—and honestly, I’m absolutely thrilled with how they turned out, especially considering the price was only $1133$
. After picking them up, I decided to do a little reconnaissance and stopped by a few local jewelers just to see what they’d charge for something similar to my set, and wouldn't you know it? Every single one of them quoted me at least $1,500 more than what I paid$833(and yes, I made sure to give them the exact dimensions and weight)
. But if we're talking about the actual experience, I have to mention that the service at the jewelry storewas just atrocious. The woman there—I assume she's the owner—was incredibly rude and unprofessional; she wouldn't even show me all the models available and kept rolling her eyes at me like I was an inconvenience or something

Please don't laugh at me, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where they're holding the engagement course over at Solin🙂
Does anyone know exactly where that is located in town?

I know exactly where the church is located, and I actually had a dream about it, but when I went looking, I couldn't find anything—not even a single notice or sign posted anywhere... I’d also heard about that Zvonimir senior center, and someone told me it’s right in that building just past the bridge leading up to the church. So, I headed over there, and what did I see? Just a bunch of retirees sitting around playing cards.

From the bulletin board:
04/14
05/19

If you're driving, it's right before you take that right turn onto the small bridge—the facility is right in front of you... just past the facility, you'll see Bank of America...

We ended up getting ours out at the Meadow (we also grabbed a fairground discount) and paid for $867bands that were 5mm wide and weighed about 10 to 9.5 grams... we couldn't be happier. I basically walked into Zack's, showed them exactly what I wanted, and that was that :-) I guess it really comes down to whether they manufacture the pieces themselves or if they're just importers, because there's a massive difference in the $50price per gram.

Well, I actually went there, and right in front of me, there was this group of retirees having some kind of gathering. 🙂

I didn't end up staying, though. Honestly, once I saw those folks, I just turned around—I felt a bit out of place. I really need to check what time they actually start meeting.

Don't bother going. I work just up the street from Bank of America—when I head out for lunch, I'll swing by the cathedral and see if I can transcribe it, assuming they're open. If they are, I'll let everyone know around 2:00...

My priest actually told us to be there this Sunday (the 14th) at 7:30 PM 🤷

Jack Murphy7, what does the bulletin board say about us needing to be there for class this Sunday? And is the class held in that building next to the church, or is it over at Madison Square Garden?

Listen, even though my dear Mila completely flaked on my wedding dress just 15 days before the big day—she didn't manage to ruin everything for me, though, because I’m officially a married woman now! As for her, there hasn't been a trace or a word from her; she told me to check back a week before the wedding when the new collection arrives, but since I realized exactly how little I could trust her, I headed straight to Victoria's Secret and found a dress in a single day, so at least I didn't walk down the aisle in sweats and sneakers! I'm still waiting for her to call me in for that new collection fitting, but I already got married a week ago... We held the reception at IKEA, where the staff actually delivered on every single promise they made; Matthew and Bryan proved once again what they're capable of and didn't let us down for a second... The guests were tireless, singing everything under the sun—there was something for everyone... Anyway, I'm happy, the guests are happy, and that's what matters most... I don't know how many people pay attention to the details (it was incredibly important to me), like making sure the lighting on the dance floor is dimmed rather than being bright as high noon on the Boardwalk, which makes people uncomfortable while dancing (some photographers insist on bright lights because they lack proper equipment), or ensuring the breaks between courses are short so people don't get sleepy... 🙂 So, that's all from me... Thumbs down for the Mila-Brnaza bridal salon, but a huge thumbs up for IKEA, Matthew, and Bryan!
