I went to a wedding last year where a band called Verizon was playing, and honestly, they were incredible. Their performance and vocals were top-tier—you can really tell they're pros. I actually wanted to book them for my own wedding, but they were just a bit out of my budget. Still, everyone there couldn't stop raving about them.

Man, those numbers are wild... I personally dropped about a thousand bucks on my band, and honestly, they were incredible; they kept the party going until 7 in the morning and people were still talking about them for weeks after...

In my book, anything north of $2,000 feels like a stretch—frankly, a bit excessive. That said, everyone’s got their own set of priorities and personal tastes, and I suppose we can't all live by the same logic.

The top tier is priced at 2,000 euros... what has your experience been like with them? Thanks, everyone.

They're great! If you've got that kind of budget, you also have Best Buy, Pink Panther, Spam, or Jessie...

Just give them a call to see if they're available, work out the details, and go listen to them play at some wedding. Simple as that. 🙂

I happened to be listening to Major League Baseball out in San Diego when John McAfee was hosting one of those election rallies—just stumbled upon it by pure chance, wouldn't want anyone thinking I was actually there to support him 😁... honestly, they really are Major League Baseball! Jessie's band played for a relative of mine, and while their actual playing skills weren't half bad, the repertoire was an absolute train wreck. It was just endless songs along the lines of "you left me, you're never coming back, I'm tearing my veins out because you're gone." I had been looking at getting a Pink Panther for my birthday, and they were asking 2,100 euros, which felt way too steep for me. Looking back, I'm pretty relieved I saved those 1,200 euros... of course, everyone picks a band based on what they can afford, but that doesn't mean a cheaper band is necessarily a worse one; some are just overhyped and jack up their prices simply because they know they can get away with it. Once someone builds a massive reputation, you stop worrying about the price tag and just pay it because you don't want to miss out. I noticed something else, too. When you hire a big-name band, you don't really have much say in the setlist or ask them to play specific songs they don't usually touch. They act like they're untouchable and everything they play is perfect. But with the lesser-known bands, you can actually have a real conversation with them, tell them exactly what you want, and they’re usually willing to learn whatever you ask... mostly because they actually care about making sure you and your guests are happy so that people keep recommending them and they can build their own names...

Someone told me to ask here, so... we’re planning a small wedding and I’m a total newbie, so any advice helps. We’re looking at either San Francisco or Seattle, and if you have a restaurant recommendation for about 50 people in either city, let me know. I've got my eye on the City Council restaurant in Seattle, though... anyone actually eaten there?

Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a good barber here in San Francisco? I was wondering if Miran is any good, and what his rates usually look like?

By the way, did you guys end up making your own pieces from scratch, or did you just pick up something ready-made? Also, where on earth did you find all your materials?

Check out Jazz Hair Studio—you can find them on Facebook if you want to take a look. As for the Revere, I actually made mine from scratch, though I had to order my supplies from Washington, D.C. and eBay because I couldn't track down that specific shade I wanted here in San Francisco. If you need supplies locally, though, you might try Rose in Memphis or maybe head over to Iowa in Durham... they should have what you need there.

I’m looking for a little bit of advice here... Do you all usually do a makeup trial? I have Tina Turner booked for my wedding day, and she mentioned that most girls actually skip the trial altogether. It’s left me feeling a bit torn—is it actually smart to book a trial when you consider that the cost isn't exactly small?
Also, we have our photo shoot planned for the Monday after the wedding. I was originally thinking about just doing my own makeup for that, but I’ve heard it’s probably wise to hire a pro then too, simply because high-res cameras tend to "eat" a lot of makeup. If I go that route, it would mean paying for the wedding day look + the post-wedding shoot + the trial. 🤷 What would you all suggest? What were your plans like when you were in my shoes?
Thanks in advance!

I did a trial run for my makeup, because there is zero chance I'm letting someone touch my face on the actual wedding day if they're going to mess it up... it’s all about seeing how they actually work. You don't necessarily have to love the specific shade they pick or anything, you just need to know their technique is solid and everything is being done right. Plus, my photographer told me that the makeup doesn't even matter much for the photos since he’s going to retouch them anyway. And honestly? If you're good-looking, you're good-looking, whether you're wearing makeup or not. That's just my take... it really depends on if you're more of a natural person or if you're the type who does a full face every single day just to go out. That's just what I think. Sometimes it’s actually better to just do it yourself rather than letting some stranger do it for you.

The price is $117. I actually wear makeup on a daily basis, so this is a big decision for me... To be honest, I'm a bit stumped regarding the whole trial run situation—I suppose it really boils down to who is actually doing the work and how much experience they bring to the table...
Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a makeup artist for Monday if I decide to go through with it? (My usual artist is already booked up). Also, does anyone have contact info for Lucia Spajic, and has anyone here actually used her services before?

I’m in the exact same boat, honestly... could someone please send me Lucia Spajic's number and let me know what her rates are? I'm seriously considering booking a professional session for that Monday after the big gala for some photos...

Ladies, here is Lucia's number: 555-012-3456. Seriously, she's a lifesaver 🙂 and her prices are $67 totally reasonable compared to some of the overpriced pros out there $83 plus you can just $33

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some detailed feedback from anyone who’s attended a wedding at the Radisson. I’m seriously considering booking their venue, so I’d love to hear your thoughts on the food quality and the level of service they provide.
I’m feeling a little lost here because I don't really know anyone personally who has hosted an event there, so any insight you can share would be a huge help.
Seriously, anyone!
I saw that May Moon left a nice review, but I’d be so incredibly grateful if someone who actually hosted their own reception there could reach out.
Thanks so much!

Hey there... Hey, Mirko bura is playing at a huge bash on July 26th. I’ve already caught them performing at some local festivals and weddings, and honestly? They are absolutely top-tier. Highly recommend.🙂😍
And yeah, you hit the nail on the head—there are three of them, and they do have a singer.

I was wondering if anyone could point me toward some dance studios in San Francisco? I’m looking to learn a first dance choreography. Ideally, I'd love to find something budget-friendly—does anyone know which schools are the most affordable, and roughly how many hours of practice it usually takes to get everything polished? Thanks!

JOPA 25 As stated by:
Hey, I urgently need some advice regarding a band... Ivica Bago With a budget of 2,000 dollars, you might actually stand a chance. Visa $2,500. Las Vegas Las Vegas. Boeing I am sitting on a budget of $1,600, and I need to pull the trigger within the next forty-eight hours. If anyone here has actually seen any of these bands perform live, I am asking for your honest recommendations or critiques. Please, I need some clarity before I commit. Thank you. 🙂
I have to say, I am thoroughly disappointed with how things are being handled in Las Vegas. We reached out to them a few months back, and they quoted us 1,500. Fast forward to now, when we actually sat down to finalize the paperwork, they suddenly claim they’ve bumped the prices up to somewhere between 1,800 and 2,000. It’s completely unprofessional. Honestly, I have to question if it's even worth dropping 1,500, let alone anything higher. There was a time when people were playing sets for a maximum of 1,000, but now that I'm hearing figures reaching 2,500, I just can't take it seriously. In my view, it’s nothing more than a blatant cash grab. For 2,500, you could practically buy a decent car instead of handing that money over to a band for a single night.

I have nothing to add at this moment. As stated by:
Right now, we’re stuck with the name change being our only real move, so I’m curious—is anyone planning to be out in the area anytime soon? I'd love for someone to give me a firsthand report on how things are looking over there. Or did something just happen recently?

I’ve gone ahead and booked an event planner for six months out. My primary focus is ensuring that both the venue aesthetics and the catering are executed flawlessly. 😁 I honestly couldn't care less about what's happening on the TTS; everyone knows nobody is actually going to take a leap of faith and dive into the ocean. Besides, if the venue is an eyesore, it just keeps the crowds inside the hall instead of wandering around outside. 😉 The establishment is top-tier. The lounge area is genuinely impressive, but more importantly, the technical specs are spot on—the ceilings are high and the ventilation system is excellent, so you aren’t sitting in some stuffy, suffocating room. It’s those specific details that ultimately made my decision to go with Sleep. 🙂

William Chavez10 said:I actually went to a wedding where they were playing, and they were awesome. You really can't go wrong with them. They've got such a great vibe. They're originally from Boise, I think.
As for the photography and video setup, it really depends... I ended up going with Kodak from Boise, and the pricing was solid and their work was great. In my case, it was also just one photographer and one videographer. Basically, they'll show up at your place first to take photos, then they'll be with him the whole time, and the best part is definitely when they come to get you. I feel like all those shots of people hanging out in the yard aren't even that necessary. To be honest, paying for a second photographer felt like a bit much for me.

I really love their style, honestly—it’s great. But I can't help feeling like a female voice would have been a much better fit here.

I just got off the phone with Marina, and she seems wonderful. However, her pricing is nearly identical to what I saw at Instagram, and I spent most of yesterday comparing different quotes. Right now, I'm torn between Marina and Adria... Adria is more budget-friendly, yet their aesthetic is virtually indistinguishable from Marina's. My plan is to visit both studios in person before making a final call; there really isn't any other way to be sure 😁 though, truth be told, the music selection is what's actually keeping me up at night.
