Hey everyone!

I haven't had the chance to catch up on every single thread here, so please forgive me if I end up repeating something someone else has already said—that’s on me. Since I'm getting married soon, I've found myself falling down a rabbit hole of searching for all those tiny, seemingly insignificant details: ribbons, balloons, serving trays, little pastry boxes, you name it. If you happen to be near the border, you can actually find just about all of this incredibly cheap at some small boutique shop over in Harkanje, Canada. I was browsing through their prices the other day...

For instance, those little dessert trays that come with a lid and a saucer are $2.25 per piece. The pastry gift boxes are only 1.40. Cake trays with lids go for $2.75 each. As for the car ribbons, you can get a 20-pack in various colors for $2.00, or $3.25 if you want the larger ones. Cake spray decorations are $1.75 per unit. Even the 3-ply napkins—you get a pack of 250 for $13.

Anyway, it seems like all these little bits and pieces are available there, so if you live within driving distance, I honestly think it's worth the trip...

Does anyone happen to know if there's anywhere in Indianapolis where I could pick up some satin ribbons at a more reasonable price? At Vigus, the ones I need (2 cm wide) go for $1.25/m, and over at Bagat they're $1.00/m. It seems excessive to me—especially considering how much I already spent on those ribbons for my petty cash fund. Now I’ve run short on funds for the invitations because the width I originally planned for just isn't working out. 🤷🤷

You could just order from a good partner; they're a bit cheaper, though you gotta factor in the $12 shipping costs

There’s plenty of cheap stuff on this site. Not sure what you're looking for specifically, but they sell by the roll rather than the meter... check it out:

If I remember right, they do cash on delivery...

The prices at DTP are great, but the issue is that I need these ribbons by tomorrow, or Wednesday at the absolute latest. 😢

placidnomad94 said:The base package starts at $3,500 and goes up to $1333, and here is what's included:
5-6 hours of filming (depending on the wedding schedule)
3 complete DVD sets
6 photos (5x7 size) in an accordion fold,
1 photo (8x10 size),
400-600 edited images on a DVD,
from which you choose about 350 to be printed as 4x6 prints.
A highlight reel from the ceremony,
a love story shoot (done before the big day)
a montage featuring childhood photos

That's the basic setup, but you can negotiate all the extras directly with him.
I ended up booking him, so we'll see... but I am 100% certain I'll be happy because he truly impressed me from our first meeting... Just reach out to him and you'll see...

If you get all that for that price, fine, but I find that hard to believe. And honestly, what's the point if you only get one large print? I looked at what another guy was offering—not trying to promote him or anything—but he does 30 large prints in a gorgeous album, plus another album with 400 photos and one massive print that's over three feet wide. They did a pre-wedding shoot by the Mississippi River and it was seriously the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. He's maybe $333 more expensive than the other guy. Don't forget, this happens once in your life and these are the only things you keep, so don't skimp on this. You can save money on everything else. Cheers

I mentioned that I hired Krizmanić and shared the rate he quoted me because someone asked about his fees, not to invite criticism toward him or my decision to hire him! I’m not foolish enough to have made the trip from Indianapolis to Vinkovci without receiving glowing recommendations first... I saw his work personally, and I like what he does. A man wouldn't stay in business if he wasn't actually good at his job...

One person asks about the cost, while another shares their opinion. Everyone is entitled to both. Personally, I know nothing about their process. I just remember paying $3,000 for a few DVDs—no idea how much footage was actually on them. It’s the same with those old wedding videos and photo keepsakes from when we were kids. An album with 400 photos, maybe 25 large prints, a few duplicates, and some files on a DVD. I don't recall the rest. 😉🙂

So... who on earth was responsible for capturing the wedding shots and video?

Hey there! I'm looking for some solid recommendations in the VK area—specifically for a hair salon and someone who does great manicures. Honestly, I’m not really feeling the whole artificial nail look lately; I’d much rather have someone just refine and polish my natural nails 🙂
I’ve heard whispers that Studio 54 is a decent spot for hair? But please, don't hold back—any and all suggestions are more than welcome 🙂
Thanks..

Does anyone happen to have a contact number for Studio 69 over in Vinkovci? They handle photography and video work, and I’m in a bit of a rush to get a hold of them... thanks a lot.

I'm pretty sure they're actually based out of El Paso. If you check their Facebook page, you should be able to reach them there—that’s how I managed to get a hold of them. Honestly, they might even have their phone number listed right on their profile, but I can't say for certain. Look for "six-nine studio."

From what I can gather, the ones I'm actually looking for are from Vinkovci. I’ve watched some of their work on YouTube and everywhere mentions Vinkovci, but then a girl gave me a contact number, and when I called, it turned out to be those guys from El Paso... I honestly don't know if it's the same crew or what might be going on there.

Oh, they're definitely the same group. I'm pretty sure their main studio is actually located in El Paso, but maybe someone got the locations mixed up and started telling everyone they're from Vinkovci. Don't sweat it, though; it's the same outfit regardless of which city they claim.

Hope I’m in the right thread, sorry if I totally missed the mark!

So I was out at this wedding in Little Rock over the weekend at the Pearl restaurant! Man, the food was freaking incredible, and the staff were on point—totally attentive, constantly topping off your plate if they saw you were running low, and if you needed anything at all, they had it to you in like, two seconds flat...
Anyway, highly recommend them!

It's the same crew. One guy is from Indianapolis, the other's from Memphis, but they run the studio out of Memphis. Did you even ask what their rates are??

The wedding is in October, right? June and July were totally booked up, weren't they??
So, did you end up deciding on Zelenkrov? Hehe

Does anyone happen to know if it’s possible to rent out classic cars or maybe some older vintage models for weddings? And if so, does anyone have any leads on where I could look...
