(Just to provide some perspective, a single drawstring bag here in the States runs about $1.80, or roughly $0.53)
As for the fabric—I picked up 10 meters of material (1 meter wide) for just 6.2 miles.

Wait, when did you actually shop for this?!
I was just at the mall like two weeks ago and they didn't quote me anything even close to those prices! For example, you're saying the bows are like 40 cents each, but they told me they were 80 cents a piece.
A pack of 100 medium white balloons would be 7.5 miles or $15. 🤷
Those heart decorations made out of bows for behind the newlyweds were maybe $50...... I can't quite remember exactly..... 🤷

Avoid Brzica's photography in Des Moines... I stopped by Photo Zoom there yesterday and they were so incredibly rude, I wouldn't go back even if they offered to shoot me for free...

I was over in Indianapolis checking out drill bit prices, and since I’m heading to Des Moines in a few days, I'll see if they've got better deals there...

Honestly, I think I'll just do my own makeup. I don't think anyone could actually get my look right better than I can 🙂

I actually reached out to PhotoZoom to see if we could book Car for photos and Vlad for video, since I’d heard such great things about them... people were saying they're amazing while everyone else is kind of hit or miss. But they wouldn't even let us book them! Plus, they were super rude and just didn't seem to care at all (honestly, it confirms everything you guys have been saying on here about them being disinterested and won't even show you their albums or anything). My mother-in-law and I went down there together... Elijah was already booked for our date, so I ended up going with Brzica (apparently he’s the veteran photographer in Indianapolis).... and honestly? He showed me his portfolio and the shots look solid. So, yeah... one less thing to worry about 🙂

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some replacement caps for those little Gatorade bottles? And does anyone have an idea what they usually go for...😕

Does anyone here actually have some firsthand experience dealing with that Bolero gang out of Indianapolis?

brightrider2, just a heads-up: typing in all caps on this forum comes off as shouting, so please try to keep it down. Mayo

Has anyone here worked with Elijah's photography and video services out of Indianapolis?

The staff is really friendly and they walked me through everything in great detail. I’m mostly just wondering about the actual quality of their work. From what I've seen so far, it looks fine—I'm not looking for anything over-the-top, just something decent—but I haven't had a chance to flip through any of their full albums yet. Has anyone else used them before? Let me know! 🙂

Here’s what’s being said on page 155 of the forum:

We went with those rubber plugs that have the little caps on them. They’re much better because they don't fray like the others. We picked them up at Staples.
You can find all kinds of bottle stoppers down at the main market. If you head toward the end of the indoor section near the main Post Office, there’s a woman selling various bottles—some are even hand-painted. She has a huge selection of decorative caps and stoppers too.

Check out GrafoArt in Đakovo. You can find all the details on their website here:

You can find some seriously cheap balloons being sold by a woman in the hallway near the fountain. Once you head up those stairs, look for a little shop on the left side—it's about three units down from the entrance. To your right, there’s a row of maybe four or five shoe stores, and she’s standing right across from them. A bundle of 100 balloons will set you back 3.1 miles. It's a total steal

About a month and a half ago, 🤷
I decided to Buy from one of the shopping pavilions—I can't remember the exact number. However, I am certain those were the prices. I also picked up a garter for 6.2 miles (which I plan to use for a little trick later) and a narrow satin ribbon for the rosemary sprigs; I don't recall the exact price for the latter, but I know I kept track because it was significantly more affordable than shopping at Vegas or Freehouse. 🙂

No way! I was actually just there two weeks ago and they told me the exact same thing! It’s right near those coffee shops, too, in the first section. Hmm... Hmm.... 🤷

Has anyone here actually hired a light show vendor for a wedding? I’m specifically looking into that one guy based out of the Midwest—we reached out to him today and he told us $1333!! Has anyone worked with him before? I’d really appreciate any honest feedback or experiences you could share. Or, if you have a solid recommendation for someone else in the industry, I'm all ears.

We hired him too. Everyone talks him up because he actually knows how to do his job properly.🙂

Hey, does anyone know those guys from Albuquerque who do light shows? Any idea what they usually charge?

Prices there tend to fluctuate depending on the day of the week. It’s more expensive on weekends or during holidays, but they drop them on weekdays. At least, that's my experience. So, the price changes aren't really surprising at all.

So, how did the trial makeup session actually turn out?

We didn't actually get around to doing it in the end. Something urgent popped up on my schedule and I just couldn't make it work that day. I guess we're going to try to coordinate for next week instead. Once I finally get it done, I'll be sure to post my thoughts here immediately.😍

For lighting, you've got Leon Productions and Tobler... they're actually the ones handling our setups right now.
