So, Iโ€™m on the hunt for a good makeup artist and a hairstylist over in Dakota, and Iโ€™m feeling a little lost! I tried doing a quick search on Google, and it suggested Mary Baker for makeup, which seems okay, I guess, but when it comes to finding someone great for my hair, I haven't got a clue where to start. Does anyone have any solid recommendations they could share?

Wait, is Studio 54 down there near the Admiral?

The studio is located right where you'd head if you were driving toward the suburbs; once you cross over the Mississippi, you'll find it on the street immediately to your right, if you catch my drift.

So, I was thinkingโ€”for those of you planning an outdoor wedding or a big celebration under a tent up north (you know who you are!)โ€”how are you actually going to handle the decor? ๐Ÿ™‚))
I mean, obviously, you've got your balloons and maybe some ribbons or bows, but what else? Whatโ€™s the real vibe you're going for? Iโ€™d love to hear how people around here are pulling it all together!

I heard that feminine place was supposed to be good, but I actually went there once and honestly, I wasn't really feeling it. ๐Ÿ˜ข

My regular stylist is all the way in Indianapolis, and I just don't feel like driving out there on a Wednesday. I've got my wedding coming up in three months and I'm low-key freaking out that I won't find anyone or that every single salon will be fully booked by then!

Honestly, just stick with your usual personโ€”it's not like Indianapolis is on the other side of the planet.

But look, if you do decide to try someone new, do yourself a favor and book a trial run immediately. Don't wait until the big day; do it now so you actually have time to pivot if they mess up your hair.

Personally, I've hit up Studio 54 a few timesโ€”one stylist there was basically Superman with the shears, totally nailed it, while another one... well, let's just say not so much. I don't remember the specific names, so I can't give you a direct referral, but you get the idea.

Good luck!

I feel a hell of a lot better now, and Iโ€™m crossing my fingers that my trial goes just as smoothly!!! I seriously can't wait!!!!

I believe it will go well; Victoria is truly Superman, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Whether it's in Indianapolis, Warsaw, or Columbusโ€”it really doesn't matter. I am just terrified that someone might ruin such a special dress... Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Is anyone there? ๐Ÿ˜ข

Don't just go out wearing parsleyโ€”they absolutely trashed my jacket and my dad's old coat!!! I know that much, but as for which one actually works, I haven't a clue. ๐Ÿคท

cosmictiger67, look, maybe try heading down to a local bridal boutique and just asking them who they use for their cleaning services. If you play your cards right, they might actually trust you enough to give up the name.
Iโ€™m actually going wedding dress shopping next week myself, so I can definitely ask around if theyโ€™re willing to spill the beans.

Jack Lee5, I have taken note of that, though I am still quite uncertain as to where one might find ๐Ÿ˜•
. Ronald Jones11, I actually attempted to inquire at two different dry cleaners, but they both dismissed my concerns quite condescendingly, insisting they utilize their own proprietary chemical processes specifically designed for cleaning wedding gowns ๐Ÿ™„ If you happen to uncover any information, please do let me know! Thank you, ๐Ÿ™‚

Check out Studio DD near David. It's a bit pricier, but it's worth every single cent.๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m still on the hunt for a makeup artist, but so far, nothing. It seems like all the talented girls in Indianapolis are already booked up through ๐Ÿ˜ข and there isn't anyone worth my time in Warsaw

So, when is the big wedding happening??

You really ought to look into Ana Coric... sheโ€™s coming back home and her work is simply exquisite. She maintains her own professional site under "Ana Coric Make Up Artist" and has a presence on Facebook as well. I am quite certain Iโ€™ll be booking her for myself a year from now... she's truly wonderful.
She actually just opened a full-service salon in Indianapolis recentlyโ€”it covers hair, cosmetics, and manicures all under one roof. If you find yourself needing her contact information, just send me a private message..

Hey everyone, where have you been picking up beer for the party?? I heard it was cheapest in Mexico, but my boyfriend just got back from a trip there and says the price of tequila is basically the same as here in the States. Since tequila is the most expensive part of my budget, thatโ€™s a big deal for me...

Look, the price of tequila is going to be the same everywhere, including Mexico. It's not worth making the trip just for that. But everything else? Everything else is half the price. We already bought all the rest of our party supplies over there (vodka, bitters, whatever else you need). Even the sodas are worth grabbing down thereโ€”at least some of them. Youโ€™re definitely going to come out ahead if you shop there.

You might want to try posting that question over on this thread as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

There's a spot at Roban Corner on the Upper East Side... they've been around forever and they're solid.

Does anyone have the scoop on the venue in Brooklyn? Food, service... anything at all?
