I’m honestly not sure if it’s worth making two or three separate trips for this. I have no clue what the price difference is between here and there, so if anyone can help me out, please! I need to get moving soon since the wedding is less than a month away. 🙂

Yeah, it’s definitely cheaper at their big supermarkets or local markets. Just be careful, though. Border patrol doesn't exactly look kindly on people hauling massive amounts of hard liquor.

So, up to this point, I've really only heard about Matićević Catering and Grapevine... so I think I'll reach out to them first to see what's up... I was actually hoping there might be another all-in-one catering option I haven't stumbled upon yet—you know, someone who handles absolutely everything? My family is being super particular; they really don't want any of the stress that comes with all those last-minute prep details...

And oh my gosh, here's another huge question... does anyone know where I can find some gorgeous champagne-colored heels or sandals for the wedding party? Honestly, around here in the Midwest, it feels like there just isn't a single shop with a decent selection of nice dress shoes 🙂

Vineyard did an amazing job for the Bratic wedding! And back home, I didn't even have hot entrees—just fancy appetizers—and Sandra handled all of that! If you want to see her work, just look up "Sandra Wedding Decor," or I can DM you her number if you want.

I am absolutely refusing to give up on finding this style of headpiece, but I'm completely stumped on where to buy, source, or even rent one. Please, if you have any leads, let me know!

I'm actually looking for the same thing. It looks amazing. If anyone has a lead... please!!

Alright folks, I'm putting together a wedding for August 25th this year. I'm just getting started and honestly, I'm already feeling the time crunch... any help would be appreciated. To start things off, here's the list of bands available on that date:
The Beach Boys,
The Doors,
The Beatles,
The Clash,
Fleetwood Mac,
If anyone has actually worked with these groups before, or can tell me anything at all about them, please let me know... it would really help.

Hey girls! I just started hunting for a wedding venue (looking at maybe 🙂 next year) and I could really use some help.. I’m planning for about 120 guests, and finding the right spot around Indianapolis is proving to be a total pain, so any tips would be huge.
From what I've managed to dig up so far, I'm looking at
- Jack - Petra's place
- Petra and Anne
- Deram in Sedona
- Maybe somewhere near Ocala?

Anyone actually used these places? Any reviews or anything?

Maybe try searching on eBay!

I'm hosting mine at Deram in July. So far, I'm quite happy with the organization!
Petra and Anne were also on our list, but we ended up passing because scheduling a walkthrough turned into such a headache.

Regarding the venue run by Jack - Petra and Anne, I was actually there last week and, well, it wasn't exactly impressive... I suppose the room itself is lovely and spacious, but the food was just mediocre... the portions were incredibly small, and we were served this basic soup; for ten people, they brought out two plates with, well, hardly any actual sides—you could practically count the few gnocchi on the dish—and I think all I can really say about the sauce was that it tasted somewhat like mushrooms... everything vanished almost instantly and they hadn't even brought more yet. When the pork and lamb finally arrived, they just placed some onions on top without any real accompaniments 😕 As for the late-night cabbage rolls, there were just a couple of tiny ones in a large bowl, maybe four or five pieces total, and even with two bowls for one table, they looked half-empty given how big the containers were... though, I guess it smelled fine, so who knows... I didn't eat it myself... Regarding the drinks, they had one-liter bottles of soda, and at first, the servers kept bringing more as soon as we finished, but then after two or three hours, it seemed like the Coke had completely run out for maybe two hours... perhaps they just couldn't be bothered anymore... 🤷

Hey there! So, I just put down a deposit for the "Jack - Petra" hall over in a nice Suburban neighborhood. The price covers pretty much everything—both the first and second dinners, all the cookies, cakes, and even the wedding cake up until $167. If we end up going over that budget, we just pay the difference later. They’ve actually started including sliced fruit and ice cream in the package now too, which is a nice touch. Anyway, I hope this helps someone out! We already booked a quartet for the band, though I'm still stuck on the photographer situation. Has anyone worked with Microsoft studios before? What’s their vibe like? Also, could someone please pass along the number for that makeup artist everyone keeps raving about, the one Taylor Swift uses? I think her last name is
.

Hey silentpanther83, I ended up booking Jack - Petra and Anne - Deram along with Quattro Band 🙂 As for photography, I went with a photographer from Ocala; their shots are stunning, and they’re much more affordable than the local ones here in Indianapolis. Regarding what Steven Morales12 wrote, I’m honestly not losing any sleep over it. I'll make sure everything is covered and everyone has what they need—especially since my guy will be on top of it. He’s got a sharp eye for those details, being a waiter and all 🙂

There's a massive price gap between Jack - Petra and Anne - Deram versus Crystal and Zelenkrov, and you can find flaws in anything if you look hard enough. People always have something to say. It’s all going to turn out fine 🙂

Honestly, I’m not even losing sleep over the catering situation. I actually attended a wedding out in Savannah a few years back, and everything went incredibly smooth. Whenever we realized we were running low on something, we just asked the staff to bring more out, and they promptly delivered 🙂. Plus, I thought it was such a fantastic move that they started including the light show in the package price now—it's one less thing I have to worry about booking separately.

Hey everyone.
Does anyone know where I could rent a ceremonial flag just for a wedding in Indianapolis? 😁

I’ve just got this empty bottle from Tropicana left lying around, so I figured I’d offer it up to anyone who might actually have a use for it.

ruggedsailor and Chris Kim - thanks guys!! 🙂 I'm currently in the middle of the whole "organizing chaos" phase, trying to hammer out plans to go see everything in person. Most people are telling me the guest list is way too small and they mostly want to do a Friday wedding, which isn't happening for me because of my guests 🙂

@sve_naopako - maybe try asking the local volunteer fire department. They might have some gear for rent

Does anyone happen to have the phone number for that makeup artist, Daria, from the Midwest, or maybe a link to her Facebook page or website? 🙂

Morning, ladies!
I’m new here, so I was hoping you could point me in the right direction. We have a wedding coming up next year, and honestly? We are totally lost. Where do we even start?! Let's just dive right in. I need recommendations for a great restaurant or venue somewhere around the Des Moines/Midwest area that can handle about 400-450 guests. Ideally, we'd love to stay closer to the Des Moines side of things. We've heard mentions of the Sarah venue and Honda-Jaksic, but I haven't actually been to either one yet. Also, if anyone knows a killer band with a solid repertoire, or maybe some florist tips... anything helps!
Thanks so much in advance!🙂

I could really use some help here😛...my wedding is coming up next year, and I'm looking into renting venues in Indianapolis—specifically places like Mia's?? Does anyone happen to know what their rates are like lately??? Thanks!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good hairstylist in Indianapolis? My regular stylist is on vacation right when I need her, and every other place I've called is booked solid. Can you believe this? I’m absolutely desperate—I’m only a month away from my wedding and I still don't have someone to handle my hair.🙂
