velvetwalker742 said:Anthony Hall83, look, they told us itโ€™s $12/person, but there was this little caveat: don't actually book for the total headcount we expect. They suggested planning for only about 50-60% of our guest list because their portions are incredibly generous and include so much more than just the basics. So, following that logic, they advised me that for our group of 110, I should probably just order for 60โ€”and they even gave me their word that we'd definitely have plenty left over. Honestly, though, Iโ€™m a bit of a nervous wreck about this because their food is absolutely divine, and I can't bear the thought of running short. I think I'll play it safe and book for 70 just to be certain; I'd much rather deal with an abundance of leftovers than a hungry crowd. Besides, weโ€™ll be supplementing the spread with some local favorites from my neck of the woods anyway, like some high-end artisanal cheese and homemade sausages.
Anyway, I hope that clears things up! ๐Ÿ˜‰

velvetwalker742, did you end up using the catering from the Ritz-Carlton?

Where do you guys grab your sweets? Does anyone know if the pastries from Evin in Valpovo are actually any good? I found them online, but we have zero clue what to expect.

I was wondering if anyone might have some recommendations for dance classes... Ideally, I would prefer something close to Vinkovci, though I wouldn't mind heading over to Indianapolis if the options there are better. Also, if anyone knows of any summer intensives or seasonal programs currently running, I would appreciate the insight... thanks...

Hey, does anyone happen to have recommendations for a wedding band? Looking for something to play for the guests at a reception. If possible, Iโ€™d love to find someone relatively budget-friendly, though my fiancรฉe is pretty set on having both male and female vocalists. Just please, anything except Viva Band. (Itโ€™s not that they aren't good or too pricey, I just have my own personal reasons for wanting to skip them.)

Thanks.

Hey everyone! I'm new here ๐Ÿ™‚

I honestly don't even know where to start, but to get things rolling, I have a few questions:
1) Has anyone used the Periฤ‡ Center in ฤakovo? What was your experience like?
2) Does anyone know about the band Nov Banda from ฤakovo? Do they bring their own backing, and what kind of budget should I set aside?
3) Any reviews on the Nikolin salons (in both ฤakovo and Indianapolis)?

Any bit of info helps... thanks!

Hey everyone! Has anyone ever been to the MBM center in ฤakovo? I was wondering if they carry any supplies for lapel pins. I heard they might have some over at the downtown location? Any help would be great, I'm feeling a bit lost here! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿคท

Kimberly Garcia said:Still haven't heard anything concrete about the Crystal ballroom. Can anyone weigh in? What do you guys actually think of the placeโ€”the good, the bad, all of it? For instance, I heard a rumor from some thin lady that the food portions are pretty pathetic. I don't know if there's any truth to that, but honestly, if it were up to me, Iโ€™d want a much bigger spread. So, yeah, could use a quick breakdown of the pros and cons.

I was there just the other day, and honestly, the venue seems fine. As for the food, I heard the stew looks pretty unappealingโ€”even if it tastes alright, itโ€™s just not much to look at. Plus, the service could be better; it feels like they haven't quite found their rhythm yet. Just sitting there, you're looking at $35 per person if you go for the full menu, like the sandwiches and lamb. I even asked about September 2013 and it's already fully booked. They stay busy. If you're planning something, you might want to move fast. For comparison, Zelenkrov charges the same $35 as the Crystal.

Hopefully, that helps a little.๐Ÿ™‚

Hey. Thanks. Yeah. Sorry, but weโ€™re stuck with just one slot for September 2013. ๐Ÿ™‚

Iโ€™ve been hearing all this too. Honestly, I even heard the food isn't actually that bad and they have plenty of it, but lately, the word on the street is about how slow the service is. People say you go out to hit the dance floor and by the time you get back, your order is long gone. So, Iโ€™ll make sure to give them a heads-up so they don't pull that on us. Plus, I figure things will probably smooth out a bit by then anyway.

Now I'm just stressing over the music. I haven't got a clue what kind of vibe to go for or how much of it we'll need.

Yeah, itโ€™s fine, no big deal. My guy wasn't really feeling the whole crystal vibe anywayโ€”heโ€™s a small-town kid at heart, so he doesn't see much beyond his own backyard ๐Ÿ™‚ but we went just to see what was out there. As for the music, we didn't have any issues; we actually picked our date based on the lineup. We're booking Quattro to play, and honestly, they're the absolute best ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, you've got options in St. Louis! The Phoenix Suns are actually organizing some classes. One session starts today and another on Thursday, and they run for about two months. They're holding them over at the department store near the Upper East Side, specifically every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. You'll learn all the basicsโ€”waltz, tango, polka, swing, you name it! Thereโ€™s even an option to learn a specific choreography if you're looking for a first dance for a wedding. I'm not totally sure about the exact cost, but I don't think it's too pricey! ๐Ÿ™‚

To me, the "top-tier" stuff always seems to be the most overpriced. ๐Ÿ™‚ But hey, whatever. We'll just see what ends up working out for us.

I get it, but we're on good terms with them, so we won't be paying the standard rates everyone else does. Good luck. ๐Ÿ˜

You might find someone on Craigslist or maybe check Facebook Marketplace ๐Ÿ™‚ if you find anything, let me knowโ€”I actually need some for September 1st. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜
I hope that helps

In case anyone is still looking for some wedding perks, Iโ€™ve still got a few things left from the expo:
* A shot from Joe from Springfield โ€” two gift vouchers for $167% off wedding photography packages at www.foto-joe.com
* L'Amour Bridal from Columbus โ€” a gift voucher for $167% off any wedding dress priced over $1000

If you want one of these vouchers, just let me know.๐Ÿ™‚

Since several of you have been asking about garter sets, Iโ€™ll leave this link to the Facebook page here so you can check it out. They actually have a promotion running right now where you get two gartersโ€”one for the bachelor party toss and another for the honeymoon. Isn't that just convenient?๐Ÿ™‚
I suppose I can get away with wearing Mayo if they won't let me wear Briscoe? http://www.facebook.com/pages/PODVEZICE/230677183700429

Hey,
does anyone know where I can pick up some decent, authentic local moonshine?
