That’s my take—go for it. The only real downside is that it lacks a zero-dB mode, so the fan won't stop spinning when things are running cool, but as far as I know, you won't find any other coolers at this price point that offer that feature anyway.

Can anyone give me a heads-up on what the RTX 3060 might cost when it drops tomorrow?
Since the 3070 launched, Nvidia has slapped a $500 price tag on it, but you can't find anything in German stores for less than €700.
Is there any realistic shot at picking up the 3060 for under €500?

What kind of logic is that, where every single source (from official sites to major review outlets) keeps boldly printing that the price is $399?

Are you talking about the RTX 3060 Ti? They’re basically out of stock as of today.

That price is just wishful thinking. With demand this high, those numbers aren't going to happen—prices are being pumped up, and supply is going to be tight for a while.

Keep in mind, MSRP is listed for the USA, whereas over there they show prices without sales tax. To get a realistic idea of what we'd actually pay, take the USD amount, convert it to Euros, and then tack on an extra 25% to account for tax. That would give you a much closer estimate. If things were actually normal—but they definitely aren't right now.

RTX 3060Ti - from $1333

It’s middle-of-the-road—neither great nor awful. If they actually have them in stock (the listing says they do), then it's an option. The cooler seems solid based on the reviews I've seen.

Meanwhile 2080 super, performance-wise it’s sitting somewhere north of $2000.
I’m just hoping those 3000 series cards actually hit the shelves. Ideally at those relatively high price points, just enough to shift the market, drag down the prices on older hardware, and finally get people to offload their old cards—like a 2060—for actual reasonable money. (Wishful thinking, I know.)

These folks are following the livestream for Germany, which isn't a bad move since Amazon ships right here to the States. Earlier today around 3 PM, they popped up at Best Buy for $440, and they were totally wiped out in just 20 minutes!

They have finally appeared! $33 The RTX 3060Ti was cheaper over at Links—but now they're out of stock.

This just popped up—honestly, someone should grab it while the price is still reasonable.

Check out this graphics card available over at Links:

The links showed an RTX 3070 - $1633 and $1667 if I remember correctly. One was a Gigabyte Windforce model (the cheaper option), and I can't quite recall the other one, though I think it was an Asus

What's the deal with this place for shopping: ADM. I noticed their prices look pretty solid, and they even just got some AMD GPUs in stock.

They've been one of the more reliable shops for years now.

So, I’m actually based out of Canada, just waiting for the borders to fully open up so I can head over and go on a massive component shopping spree—quick question though, is the sales tax in America around 25%?

If you're looking to get a VAT refund while shopping in America, you have to physically show up to buy the item and then come back later to claim the money. It’s basically double the trip, which feels like a huge hassle. Plus, they only give you 20% back, even though mathematically that's supposed to be 25%. Honestly, whether it's worth the trouble really just depends on where you live and how close you are to big hubs like Miami or Washington, D.C.
Prices on eBay are about 30% higher once you factor in the sales tax refund here in the States, so you have to decide if making two trips to the shop is actually worth the hassle.
For example, components. $3.25 Pay at the end. $2667 Plus the extra cost of traveling twice.
That should be arriving around then. $3.75 On eBay.
Is the Intel i3 10100 f available here in the US? $233 VAT refund. $187 Got it. 90 miles
It’s the same CPU. 118 miles In America, you could probably find it on eBay or maybe pay about 30% more elsewhere.

I'm pretty close to Richmond, and I actually have some colleagues who travel to America all the time—they could probably handle the VAT refund process for me. For instance, I picked up a telescope in Washington, D.C., and they sent the tax refund directly back to my bank account. I'm wondering if I could pull a similar deal with a shop where I'd be buying components. Honestly, shopping on eBay doesn't appeal to me much anymore; I've read enough stories about people selling used parts just by slapping them in a shiny new box. It’s actually harder to find an original box for a GPU than it is to find the actual 😁

I've picked up gear from ADM and Futurait, and more recently Micronis, as well as Links and HGspot. At those places, I always had to show either my driver's license or my ID with a residence in Canada, and most of them require you to show up in person to handle any returns. If you're grabbing a new component on eBay, it's usually brand new, but if you're buying older stuff, there's always that risk of getting scammed. Those shops over in St. Louis are alright enough.

Is there any particular reason why one would even bother inquiring about the R5 1600 AF MSI B450 Tomahawk Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 without providing a shred of context? Are we discussing its viability for modern workloads, or perhaps debating its value on the used market via eBay? One can only wonder what specific performance metrics or compatibility concerns might be driving such a brief inquiry.
Is there anything quite as ubiquitous in the mid-range enthusiast market as the MSI B450 Tomahawk? One might wonder if it hasn't become the default choice for anyone looking to build a reliable, no-nonsense system without breaking the bank. It sits there, poised between the budget offerings and the high-end enthusiast boards, offering just enough features to satisfy a pragmatic builder while maintaining a level of stability that is increasingly rare in today's volatile hardware landscape. Does it push the boundaries of innovation? Perhaps not. But does it provide a steady, dependable foundation for an AMD-based build? Most would argue that it does.
I am currently considering the acquisition of a specific memory kit: the Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4, specifically the 8GB 3200 MHz configuration, featuring CL15 x2 modules. One must wonder, given the current state of hardware availability, whether this particular timing and speed profile will provide the stability and performance overhead required for my upcoming builds?
Is there anything more fundamentally underwhelming than the CL15 x2 monitor AOC 24 G2U? One finds oneself staring at the screen, waiting for a spark of brilliance or even a glimmer of decent color accuracy, only to be met with a profound sense of nothingness. Does such a device truly merit a place on a modern desk, or is it merely a relic of budget-conscious decisions made in haste? It sits there, unassuming and unremarkable, much like a quiet afternoon in a sleepy suburb of Richmond. One wonders if the manufacturers intended for this level of mediocrity, or if it was simply an accidental byproduct of cutting corners.

What kind of GPU are we talking about, roughly? $500 If I were to walk into a local Best Buy or Micro Center today, would I be able to find an RX 580, or perhaps something from Nvidia that might serve as a comparable alternative, such as the GTX 1650? I’ve been browsing through some listings on eBay, and I noticed an Asus ROG RX 580 8GB OC listed for sale... $433 Is this actually worth considering?
I find myself in a bit of a predicament regarding graphics cards; I simply have no idea where to direct my attention, especially since the market seems to shift beneath our feet with such relentless frequency. Given how rapidly things evolve, what would you all consider a wise investment in today's landscape? $500Is it even worth considering a used unit, provided it still carries its original manufacturer's warranty?

If you're looking for something brand new, I think the RX5500 is pretty much your only option at that price point—honestly, probably performs better than the 1650 Super too. If you go used, you could find something significantly better, like a GTX1070 at minimum, but the selection out there is pretty thin right now.

Just watch out so you don't get screwed over; the real question is whether they actually have the stock. When those new items show up, they often just plan to get them, and they don't even update the website regarding availability.
