I was actually tempted to go grab one of those early detection tests—you know, the ones that claim they can spot a plus or minus sooner than others—but I held myself back. I'm sticking to the date, March 16th, unless I somehow find out earlier, because honestly? I still have no clue if this is actual news or if it's just my PMS acting up again. I am beyond frustrated right now—just completely on edge. My husband has been trying to play peacemaker, keeping me calm and making sure I don't have to lift a finger, just "to be safe," as he puts it. He’s basically handling everything—doing the dishes, running the laundry... today, I pretty much just managed to whip up some soup. 🤣 Writing this all out is the only way I can keep from losing my mind. Anyway, the symptoms haven't budged. The only thing is my breasts—they are incredibly sore and, oh my god, HUGE. It feels like an eternity until the 16th.

Hey, I'm new here. I'm also holding out until the 16th. Hoping my period doesn't decide to show up. My cycles are usually pretty regular, every 28 days....

Well, count me in because I'm new here too! Honestly, I'm right there with you—just hoping for the best! I've got my fingers crossed for a positive result. Are you feeling any symptoms yet?

Heh, yeah, I guess I’ve got to hit that 16th milestone too. Though, honestly? I’m actually hoping I can get it.

The way things are going with me... it's been three in a row at 16.

Well, I'm crossing my fingers for that big plus sign right along with you. All I've got so far is an insane appetite, breasts that ache until I'm exhausted, and today, this weird metallic taste in my mouth. I've never felt anything like this before, but we'll see. I'm just hoping for a positive result and taking it from there. What about you—are you experiencing any specific symptoms?

I said I wasn't going to buy the test before the 17th. Not unless some witch shows up at my door first.

My back is killing me, my chest feels tight too, I’ve got these sharp pains stabbing at my stomach, and my head has been throbbing since last night. I haven't even touched a Tylenol yet—I don't want to risk messing with anything. I'm running to the bathroom constantly, though honestly, that could just be the nerves and the sheer anticipation driving me crazy. My mood is all over the place—it's like being on a literal rollercoaster. Maybe it's just PMS, but for the first time in fifteen years of this monthly curse, my stomach isn't bloated like a balloon. 🙂 I really want to go grab a pregnancy test today, but I’m terrified that if I actually see one sitting there in front of me, I’ll cave and take it before the sixteen days are up. 😁
I’m still holding onto hope, though. 😍

Man, props to you for having the willpower to wait. Especially with everything you're feeling right now. 👍

Thanks, but honestly? My head is still absolutely pounding, so that’s pretty much my entire world right now. And since I have no clue if I can even take any over-the-counter meds without making things worse, I'm just... sufferiiiiing! 😳

Just take half an Advil or something similar.

Don't take anything. I took Tylenol before I realized I was pregnant, ended up having a miscarriage, and honestly wanted to give up on everything after. You never know what could cause damage. Just take my advice. Ask a professional instead. Fingers crossed for you—let us know if you get that positive test!

So, my husband just dropped off some Tylenol from the drugstore, but when I looked at the fine print, it says pregnant women shouldn't take it. Honestly? I don't care. I can handle the pain. If it's for the sake of a (hopefully) future baby, I'll deal with whatever. 🙂

Look, Tylenol—or anything else with acetaminophen—is pretty much the only thing pregnant women are cleared to use. That warning you're seeing? It's standard legal boilerplate essentially telling you that you should run it by your OB-GYN first 😉... honestly, just give the pharmacist a call and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks for the advice, really, but it’s honestly not quite at that "unbearable" level yet—and besides, I just had a massive meal and washed it down with a glass of soda, which made everything feel a whole lot better. Much, much easier. 😁

You could take The Plackets headache tablets, though it is best to consult with your doctor first. 😉

I'm right there with you, just waiting on number 16!!! Am I the 4th person in line here?

Well, here is a solid resource for you; it covers a whole lot regarding medication use during pregnancy 😉

This is all looking great. We're counting down the days until the 16th, and I’m crossing my fingers for a massive wave of positive results. Yippee! Honestly, though, I have this nagging feeling that my period is about to hit, and it's making me incredibly anxious. I've been moping around the house like a lazy cat all day. I’m feeling every single symptom, but I can't tell if it's just standard PMS or something else.

My breasts are swollen and they hurt like hell! Ugh. Plus I’ve got way too much saliva in my mouth... I'm just praying this is all just PMS.

As for the headaches? You could try rubbing some Deep Relief gel on your forehead.

Back when I was about 11 or 12 weeks pregnant last year, I dealt with this massive inflammation in my neck. I was whining constantly from the pain and ended up popping like 8 pills a day.

By week 14, the heartbeat sounded perfectly fine and the baby was doing great, but then by almost week 17, everything went dead. Now, was it the inflammation, the pills, or something else entirely? Honestly, who knows. God only knows.

rapidrider3, I feel for you. Honestly, though? There’s no way I’m touching any of that stuff—I'm just too sketched out by the whole thing. Maybe I’m just being a little neurotic because of all this waiting, but my stomach has been doing knots all afternoon...

So, I’m heading out tomorrow to grab a pregnancy test since everything is going to be closed this Sunday, and I really want to take it first thing Monday morning. Does anyone have any actual advice on which brand I should pick up? Which one is actually reliable if I'm looking at day 28 of my cycle by Monday—assuming, of course, that my period hasn't already shown up by then. 😢
