Ten days past a missed period and a negative test means there’s no pregnancy, at least in my book... provided you actually took the test right. Of course, I’m hardly an authority here, but speaking from experience: stress—whatever the hell caused it—can absolutely throw your cycle out of whack. And worrying about whether your period is finally going to show up just adds more fuel to that fire... As for those scent sensitivities or nausea? I dealt with bouts of nausea during the months I was praying for a positive result, only to find out I wasn't pregnant. Not nearly as much as people claim...

Took a test Monday (supposedly day M) and it was positive. A bit faint, but still a plus
Did another one Wednesday and yeah, still positive
Been dealing with nausea and dizziness for about ten days now

Then this afternoon, I started spotting🙂🙂🙂

I am so sorry, Joseph Murphy6.😢

@Robin Myers—if I had actually trusted those early pregnancy symptoms and nausea, I would have been pregnant 150 times by now! It sounds wild, doesn't it? But we really do have the power to imagine anything, and it's so easy to trick our own bodies into delaying a period.
I still suspect that going through four rounds of antibiotics in just six months has finally taken its toll on my immune system, which might be throwing my cycle off.
I mean, I've always dealt with stress, but I never had these kinds of issues before.

Yeah, it’s honestly wild what the human body is capable of manifesting if you just tell it to...

Look, how heavy is this bleeding? Is it lighter than your usual flow? Honestly, it has to be, because by all accounts, you're pregnant. I actually knew someone nearby who didn't even realize she was pregnant until her third month. She had her periods like clockwork, just lighter than usual, which she figured was just stress. But you can't just ignore two positive tests. If they were negatives, we wouldn't be talking, but those positives mean something.

I've got a question and I’m honestly just hoping someone here can actually help me out..😢
So, I was with my boyfriend exactly 49 days ago. Since then, I’ve had one period which seemed totally normal. We weren't using protection, but we didn't even really have full sex or anything, mostly because of that—he just kind of put it in for a little bit, so to speak. It was pretty brief, basically.👎
But now, for the last six days, I’ve been dealing with diarrhea, morning nausea (didn't throw up, though), feeling absolutely terrible, cramps all over my stomach, stomach pain, and I'm super sensitive to smells and food... I also get sick in the middle of the day quite often, which makes me break out in a sweat and makes my stomach ache, my heart starts racing like crazy, gas...😢😢
Today I took a Clearblue test and it came back negative (even though there's this tiny little smudge in the larger area, but you can barely see it 😕)... PLEASE, let me know if anyone else has gone through something like this... help 😕
thanks in advance 🙂

Jesse Scott78, I honestly find it hard to believe you're pregnant. I went through something similar once, only to find out it was just a nasty stomach flu accompanied by sweats and diarrhea. I really doubt it's the real deal since the test came back negative.
I tend to get my hopes up every single time my period is late, just hoping I might actually be expecting.😛
Right now, I’m ten days late, but I don't have any of those classic pregnancy symptoms—not even the usual breast swelling I get during PMS. So, I've finally calmed down about it.😁

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

Charles, you didn't mention when you're actually expecting your period? Is it running late on you?

And, 48 days without any action?? 😛 Uh.. 😉

Maria Torres8 said:Hey ladies, I was just scrolling through... and somehow stumbled upon this group, so since I'm already here, I figured I'd share my little sob story:
So, here's the deal: my husband and I have been talking about this for ages, and we finally pulled the trigger on January 1st. Being the eternal optimist that I am, I was fully expecting to be pregnant by the fall, but clearly, life had other plans. It’s been six months now—nothing. Just a mountain of pregnancy tests and pure disappointment behind us. The thing is, I have PCOS, and I could never touch birth control because my platelet levels were always a mess back in high school. My periods have never been regular, either. My Pap smear came back fine, and my hormone levels seem okay too. My doctor told me that since I can't really pin down my ovulation window, we basically need to have sex every third day. We've tried... nothing. We even went through a phase where we were trying three times a day—which, let's be real, was exhausting—and still, zilch. Now I'm just sitting here wondering: what the hell am I doing wrong? Everyone keeps telling me to just be patient, but honestly, that doesn't help much when you're feeling like this...

Try every method available to track ovulation—mucus, basal body temperature, LH strips... I'm in the exact same boat. It's been six months of nothing for me, too. Everything points to me being healthy, though I don't know about my husband yet. They say men shouldn't even get tested until after a year of trying, but I'd love to send him in for a checkup right now. He's stubborn, though, and refuses.

I don't want to scare you, but I was actually talking about this just last night with a friend of my husband's wife. She also has PCOS and struggles to track her ovulation... it took them nine years. They have two beautiful boys now, but they seriously had to be intimate constantly!

it's definitely light...
and honestly, by last night there was barely anything left... just one day of that... 🤷

I've heard stories about that happening too... man... maybe it's real...

you think there's a chance I'm actually pregnant??????????

gonna wait a few more days. I'm too nervous to take a test yet...

For sure. Look, pregnancy tests can give you a false negative, but they don't do false positives. If you see a plus sign, you're pregnant....

When was your last period (the one before this one)?

Tomorrow marks your 5th week. Go ahead and take the test—it’s gotta be positive.

Look, I'm banking on those two positive tests you took before your period started. There’s no way you're seeing a plus sign unless you're pregnant...

Are you feeling anything yet? Not that you necessarily have to—some people don't feel a single thing at first.

Nauseous every now and then, but it's pretty mild. Might just be in my head...
A bit dizzy too—but honestly, that’s pretty normal for me...
Now I'm second-guessing everything...

Look, just go grab a test tomorrow so you actually know. Honestly? I think you already know what the answer is. But with all this confusing guesswork going on, just take another one so you can finally stop worrying.

So, here’s the situation. My partner and I had sex on June 11th and again on June 26th. During one of those times, the condom actually broke, but we caught it immediately and he didn't finish. About two hours later, I took emergency contraception (Plan B—I took two pills about 12 hours apart). My period came back early on July 3rd, which I assume was just a side effect from the hormones. Then, on July 11th, I took a home pregnancy test using my first urine of the morning (a standard HCG test), and it came back negative. That was 15 days after the encounter. What do you guys think? Did I take the test too soon, or is there still a chance I could be pregnant?
Thanks in advance!!

Look, your period arrived. Regardless of what happened, that’s usually the clearest sign that you aren't pregnant. Between him not finishing and you taking the morning-after pill... isn't it pretty much impossible?
