Look, a friend just told me she might be pregnant. She’s a minor. They hooked up back in August without protection, though he pulled out in time. She got her period immediately after, the very next day, and has been regular every month since then. But for the last three days, she's had this weird sensation in her stomach. It won't stop. It's constant throughout her entire abdomen. No nausea, no vomiting, and her periods have stayed on schedule. The question is simple: is she just overthinking this, or does she actually need to worry?

Let me consult my crystal ball first, then I'll let you know.🀦

Pregnancy tests are available at any CVS or Walgreens, ranging from about $40 to $33 β˜•

For anyone looking for actual answers, they should probably just take a test or go see a gynecologist. If you're out there sleeping with guys, it’s high time you started taking responsibility for your own health.

Move this post over to the "Buy a Test" thread. At this point, we’ve already covered all the advice worth giving: just take a test or go see an OB-GYN. I’m not interested in any more circular arguments about this. Good luck.

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I have a question right out of the gateπŸ™‚
My last period ended back on November 18th... it lasted about three days, and then by the 4th, I was already active without any protection. Then again, I was active without protection on the 1st as well. By the second day after that, I started feeling these slight pains in my lower abdomen and my right ovary, which actually got much more intense the following day... then there was this increased urge to urinate, frequent mild headaches, and one day my temperature hit 98.6. After that, I had some back pain, though the ovarian pain subsided... now I’m dealing with breast tenderness similar to what I get before my cycle, and I’ve spent two days just crying, though I can't even tell you why... I haven't felt nauseous when drinking coffee, but strangely enough, I couldn't stand the red wine I usually adoreπŸ™‚I just don't have any appetite, I only eat because I know I have to eatπŸ™‚I read somewhere that most women actually conceive right around that fourth day. I'm not exactly worried about being pregnant, and honestly, I didn't even know what symptoms to look for... I've only been married for a month now, and I would really love to become a mother. When should I take a test? Should I wait until next week? And which kind is best to use before my period arrives? Thanks so much! BEST WISHES TO ALLπŸ™‚

Is it actually true that there’s a test capable of picking up on things about 5 to 7 days before your period starts? I was thinking maybe the First Response one might be able to do that...

boldcobra94... look, just take a breath first... there is zero chance you’re feeling symptoms on day two.

The only thing hurting you right now is if you really messed things up... 😁...

You don't even touch that test until the actual day your period is due. You could try a day early, sure, but why bother? The accuracy is pretty questionable then. And honestly, you're better off using that first bit of urine in the morning.

Early pregnancy pains aren't exactly "welcomed guests," except for maybe breast tenderness, frequent bathroom trips, fatigue, or just feeling generally wiped outβ€”you know, that feeling where everything just feels heavy. (Can't think of the specific literary term for it right now)....

Some women don't feel a single thing, no symptoms at all. Others get that list I just mentioned, and a tiny handful deal with actual aches. For me personally, during an early pregnancy, I had these massive muscle spasms in my chestβ€”I've had a heart murmur since I was a kidβ€”so I was cramping up constantly. But that was just once, and it was a high-risk situation...

boldcobra94, is it actually possible for ovulation to cause that kind of pain? It seems unlikely that anything related to pregnancy could be hurting you this early on, since the zygote hasn't even implanted in the uterus yet...

Hello everyone. I have a question, and I hope I’ve landed in the right section πŸ™‚.)) My period is ten days late, yet I’m experiencing none of the usual symptoms. I have already taken two pregnancy testsβ€”the standard $15 drugstore kindβ€”and both came back negative, including one this morning. I am scheduling an appointment with my OB-GYN today. However, what concerns me is that I noticed some clear, stretchy discharge a couple of days ago. Also, my breasts feel slightly swollen, though that isn't always a reliable indicator for me since they are naturally quite large πŸ™‚.)). Additionally, I’ve been feeling a bit lightheaded if I don't eat immediately. I realize no one here is a medical professional 😁, but I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with a similar situation.

If your cycle is predictable, a test should be accurate after just a single day of being late, so... I suppose all I can say is good luck. πŸ™‚

Look, let me tell you... I've had delays lasting up to 17 days before. My breasts were aching like crazy, feeling every single symptom you'd expect from pregnancy, and thenβ€”boomβ€”test comes back negative, and my period shows up anyway.

Once that test hits negative at the 10-day mark? Honestly, the chances of being pregnant are basically zero.

I'm with you on this... I've had the exact same thing happen. Last time, it didn't even turn positive until two days later.

Hi everyone! I’ve already shared some thoughts here about my early symptoms... Back then, Lindy basically tore me apart and insisted there was no way I could feel all of this so soon, telling me I just needed to relax. Well, Lindy, I certainly did relax, but unfortunately, the symptoms didn't take the hint... πŸ™‚I’m posting this because I know how much it might help someone else out there, especially since I remember being in that exact same position, searching for answers... πŸ™‚ DEAREST FRIENDS, at the end of the day, we are the ultimate experts on our own bodies! I truly had no idea what "real" symptoms were supposed to look like, so I wasn't making any of this upβ€”it was all happening to me. About two days in, I started feeling this intense pain in my right ovary, just really sharp, and that lasted for a couple of days. After that, it turned into these short but frequent headaches, and my lower back is still absolutely killing me. My breasts are a little tender too, and while I don't have an aversion to coffee, I found myself unable to touch the red wine I usually love so much... πŸ™‚ I also dealt with frequent trips to the bathroom and some looser stools, but the strangest part of it all was that for two days straight, I couldn't stop crying, even though I'm normally such a cheerful, bubbly person. My appetite definitely took a hit, too. It all happened within a fifteen-day window... πŸ™‚ Yesterday was the day I was expecting my period, but I JUST TOOK A TEST AND IT SHOWED TWO VERY CLEAR LINES πŸ™‚ I am just sooooo happy... πŸ™‚ Sending so many warm wishes to you all, and I truly hope this story brings some comfort to someone. For those of you hoping for those two lines, I'm wishing you nothing but success and so many, many babies! BEST REGARDS!

Saw my OBGYN today and she’s just as confused as I am. She says everything looks normalβ€”ovulation occurred on the right ovary and the corpus luteum is still there. She suggested waiting another week before testing again since my ovulation was delayed, so we aren't sure if anything is actually happening yet. For now, it's just the waiting game. πŸ™‚

Look, it's probably just a coincidence of timing... that pain you felt two days after sex? It's way too early to call that pregnancy. We're talking microscopic cells traveling through your system at that point; it's hard to believe you'd feel that intensely... maybe something else health-wise just happened to line up at the same time.....

Most women don't start feeling anything until about 5 to 7 days before their period starts, but two days after sex? That sounds like a stretch to me. Especially with the level of intensity she described in her previous post.

Anyway, the main thing is that everything turned out okay, and it actually was a positive...

rapidrider3 doesn't necessarily have to be the one. For me, the day I actually found out I was pregnant was just... awful. I felt this weird sensation in my ovaries, but I had no clue what it was at the time. I honestly just assumed it was standard pre-period cramping. But then, when my period didn't show up, everything clicked... I finally realized exactly what those pains were 😁

Hi there, I’ve heard stories about women who wake up in the morning and just feel... something different in their bodies... In my case, I was told that the discomfort I felt in my ovaries over those two days was actually just ovulation happening πŸ˜• though, to be perfectly honest, I don't really know much about any of this biological stuff... I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all
Now, I have a bit of another questionβ€”I've been experiencing some mild cramping down in my lower abdomen, and people tell me that’s totally normal... DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?
