hey everyone!!!
girls, I don't know if this has been asked yetβ€”there are way too many posts to scroll through πŸ™‚ so forgive me if I'm repeating myself!!
does anyone know how reliable the Clearblue tests actually are? has anyone here used them??
I'm already 7 days late, which is totally weird for me, so I decided to take one (Clearblue) and it said negative... but honestly, I still feel like I might be pregnant. Is there any reason to trust these tests, or is there a better brand out there??? πŸ™‚
thanks in advance !!!! 😁

I just took one today, like two days before my period was even due, and yep, once again I’m sitting here feeling let down for the fifth time... I swear, I keep telling myself I won't bother buying them until I'm actually late... which, honestly, is probably what I should do... It's such a bummer $20... And I'm actually feeling pretty blue about it all.

The timing was simply too early; you should run it again in a few days. The most reliable data emerges once you have actually missed your period.

The quality of these kits is largely comparable, though I am fairly certain you would have seen a positive result by now given how much time has passed since your expected date, assuming your cycle is usually regular.

You'll know for 100% certain only if you head to a clinic, get some bloodwork done, and take a ß-hCG test.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check back tomorrow or maybe the day after...

We should probably start a thread titled Don't buy the test, just wait!!πŸ™‚

Hey ladies!
I could use a little advice from you all. My last period started on January 1st, though my cycles are usually pretty irregular, ranging anywhere from 30 to 38 days.
For the past three days, I’ve been noticing some light brownish-red spotting along with a dull pressure in my abdomen, almost like my period is about to start.
I realize it’s probably too early for a pregnancy test, but I was wondering if there's any way to tell sooner. There is a major promotion up for grabs at work, and I really need to know as soon as possible!
Thanks so much

There is absolutely no way to know if you're pregnant 7 to 10 days before your period is due.
The only real way is to get a blood testβ€”if the HCG levels are above 5, then you're pregnant.
Standard over-the-counter tests look for much higher levels, usually over 50, so if your levels are lower than that, you'll just get a negative result.

Thanks, I think I'll head to a Quest Diagnostics tomorrow to get it done.
Then we'll see. Hopefully, it's reliable... πŸ™‚

My period should arrive in three days... but I feel strange, some slight cramping in my lower abdomen, almost like stretching 😬 it's quite possible I might be pregnant, since we weren't being careful during our most fertile days πŸ™‚ I'm unsure if I should even take a test, we weren't planning this, though we wouldn't be unhappy πŸ™‚ a little maternal instinct has kicked in, so I can't tell if I'm just imagining things or... πŸ€” "and I won't forget that feeling: I feel 100% pregnant"
but I'm probably just imagining it too 🀣

I suppose there's no point in testing this early 🀷 I haven't told anyone because I know I tend to imagine symptoms 🀣 besides, who would I even tell three days before my period starts 🀣🀣

hello to all the mothers and those hoping to become one 😍

I’m guessing there’s zero point in even bothering with a test this early 🀷 I haven't told anyone yet because, honestly, I have a tendency to just manifest symptoms out of thin air 🀣 besides, who am I even supposed to vent to three days before my period starts? 🀣🀣

Hey, I was going through the exact same thing last month and ended up testing just two days before my period was due, and it actually came back positive πŸ™‚ used an Intim test - it was a plus

Ladies, is it actually possible to get a blood test for beta hCG too early and end up with a false negative result?

We actually conceived during the very first month we decided we wanted a baby... and of course, just two days before my period was due, I started feeling those heavy cramps and this intense exhaustion hitting me, plus my stomach was acting up... so I couldn't stop thinking about it and we went out to grab a test!
THE FIRST: done while I was a complete nervous wreck!😁 We waited together for a few minutes, and I’m staring at it seeing nothing, then suddenly I catch this teeny, tiny change in the second circleβ€”like a "ghost" pink line that should have appeared fully by now, but hadn't quite shown up yet. I told my husband, "There is no way, I am definitely pregnant," but he kept insisting I was just imagining things. 😁 I just went, "Fine!" Men, right? There's really no point trying to convince them when they're set in their ways, even though my gut feeling was screaming otherwise...
Two days passed... my period was supposed to arrive, but nothing! My husband gets home from work and I tell him, "Hey, grab another test just to be safe..."
THE SECOND: I totally messed that one up because I was even more jittery. I think I didn't hold the stick long enough or something, so the test basically failed entirely. 🀣 hehehehe....
Four more days go by and still no period...
So we head over to
for THE THIRD test... this time I wanted to be absolutely certain, so I used a cup so I wouldn't have to deal with him teasing me about being unable to take a simple test properly. 😍
Naturally, the excitement starts building again (just like seeing a Starbucks latte waiting for you 😁)... while my husband is chilling at the computer, convinced there's nothing going on! I pee in the cup, dip the stick, and sit there on the toilet doing a crossword puzzle while I wait. 😁
I had to Endure waiting for a few minutes, and once I saw the stick, I didn't even have time to get dressed before I bolted out of the bathroom screaming with joy! He realized what happened immediately... we were jumping around like crazy kids. 😁😁
Truly unforgettable... and just more proof that WE WOMEN ARE ALWAYS RIGHT πŸ‘πŸ˜
