analogwolf27... hey, look, it’s not the end of the world, I promise. Tomorrow is a totally fresh start. Just take a second to breathe, let the dust settle, and wait for things to level out...😘 😘 😘 🙂

It’s all good—I’ve got steady work. My parents are great and really support me, and honestly, I’m just so excited to have a baby. I've wanted this for a long time, and I know it’ll be my whole world. Sure, I might be young, but I’ve lived enough life already... at this point, the kid is all that matters. As for the dad... I don't know. He's still young... whether he's in the picture or not, I'm going to be happy. Sending love to everyone, and thanks for the hugs!!!

I'll drop this in this subforum as well, just in case someone might have an answer... 🙂

Ladies... I haven't been around here for a while. So, a few days ago I went to see my doctor, and he told me I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks. I was bleeding a little, and honestly, I just assumed it was my period since the symptoms felt identical—except the pain was absolutely unbearable, which is why I finally went in for an exam... anyway, he tells me this is "normal." He actually said most women who experience a loss this early don't even realize it happened??? And then he tells me not to worry. Now I'm asking you all: has anyone else gone through something similar? How am I supposed to process this? I mean, I truly cannot wrap my head around it... how can he possibly think this is just normal? :-(

When a pregnancy ends spontaneously like that, people tend to assume the baby wasn't "healthy" and that nature was just stepping in to reset the system...

How do you even move forward from that?

I haven't personally gone through something like this, but if you need to, please just give yourself the space to heal, to process it, and to accept what happened... and then, when you're ready, try again...😘

this is all just too much to handle... a friend tells me, "it's not that big of a deal, it was only 20 days"😲 as if it isn't a massive deal. Even if it were just one day, I don't think I could face it... 🙂

I am so incredibly sorry 😢 I can only imagine the weight of what you're going through right now. I've just entered my fifth week, and I truly understand how devastating it feels when things take this turn. I am holding onto the hope that you will recover and eventually welcome your little one... and that you'll be the most wonderful mother in the world 🙂 😘

I picked up a test, ran it, and now I’m thinking I’ll have to do it all over again. It looks like I botched a step somewhere, even though I followed the instructions to a T—but then again, I’m easily the most clumsy person on the planet.

Fortunately, the results came back negative this time, but I’m going to run another one tomorrow just to be certain.

I see people posting here saying they knew they were pregnant from the very first second, but I’m not feeling any of that intuition.
It’s starting to feel more and more like this delay is purely psychological. I’ve been under an immense amount of stress lately, plus I might be dealing with a UTI since it’s been hurting to pee since last night.

Keep your fingers crossed that I’m not pregnant. I suppose I’m one of the rare ones on this forum who isn't actually looking to conceive, but given my current situation—no steady job, living in a tiny rental apartment, and being in a relatively short-term relationship—this would honestly drive me to despair...

Thanks to everyone for the advice, especially John Young3 🙂

I don't have any firsthand experience with this, but I am sending you a massive hug.😘

And listen—nothing about this is "normal," period. But if it was meant to happen, I suppose it's better now than two or three months down the line when the uterus is more developed and you're further along in the pregnancy. This way, the physical recovery for your metabolism and your body will be faster—though unfortunately, that doesn't make it any easier for you personally, because let's face it, nobody would ever choose this.😘 ... Hang in there and try to stay positive. I know that sounds incredibly hollow, but it seems like that baby simply wasn't ready for the journey ahead.😢

Hey everyone!
I’ve been lurking here forever, but this is actually my first time jumping in to say anything. Honestly, I see so many women popping up on here doubting if they’re pregnant, only to come back a few posts later posting those positive results.
Me? I’ve been trying to get pregnant for ages, but nothing. I was pretty sure my fertile window hit earlier this month and thought, "Okay, this is finally it," but then I took a test and... just one single line. I even checked it again after ten minutes—which I know you aren't supposed to do—but there wasn't even a faint, pathetic little shadow of a second line. Nothing at all.
Now, I should probably admit a couple of things: I took this test a week ago, and my period isn't even due until tomorrow or the day after. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know... I just couldn't help myself.
Also, this is like my sixth or seventh test already. My hope is basically hitting zero at this point, and honestly, I don't even have the energy to follow the instructions perfectly anymore.
Anyway, that's the update for now. I don't want to be typing all night!
BTW, big shoutout to everyone in this thread, and huge congrats to all the moms-to-be out there! 😘 😘 😘

Oh honey... first off, I am so incredibly sorry, I know exactly how much this hurts... I was actually right here on this forum about two and a half months ago, posting as a super happy expectant mom, but then at 7 weeks, they did an ultrasound and told me there was nothing there—a blighted ovum, essentially. No embryo at all. I ended up having to have a D&C, which was a whole ordeal... Did they see anything on your ultrasound, like, was the embryo visible? My doctors kept telling me the same thing—that these situations are common and happen all the time, especially during a first pregnancy. Don't let it get to you too much, I know it's brutal, but trust me, if you can find a way to accept it, the weight will lift sooner... If it was meant to be, at least it happened naturally and you didn't have to deal with the hospital misery I did. Just try to rest, shake off all that stress, get your routine checkups done before you try again, and then go for it... Just stay positive, everything is going to be okay... hopefully we'll both be back on this forum soon, but as pregnant moms this time 👍 😘 😘

CNN reports:
This is absolutely gut-wrenching... A friend of mine actually had the nerve to tell me, "It’s not *that* bad, it was only 20 days." 😲 Are you kidding me? It's devastating! Even if it were just one single day, I still couldn't wrap my head around the pain... 🙂

A loss like that is always traumatic... maybe for some people it isn't, but then again, maybe they've just never lived through something like this and have no clue what it feels like.

😘 😘 🙂

. Hang in there—I really hope things turn around for you next time and that you get to snuggle up with those little ones way sooner than you ever expected...

😘 I find it truly remarkable when people attempt to offer comfort by essentially trivializing the magnitude of someone else's loss 😠 .
Hang in there. 👍

You tested way too early. A test only works once you've actually missed your period.

YOU HAVE MY FULL SUPPORT AND YOU BETTER NOT QUIT... I’M CONVINCED YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF LITTLE ONES!!!

rustyorca15 AND I BOTH STARTED WEEK 5. When are you planning on heading to the OBGYN for your checkup? Based on my math, your appointment should be around October 28th.

Look, I get it, but I’m just freaking impatient!
I'm three days behind already, but I'm terrified to take another test just to see a negative result again. I know I'm probably just making everything harder on myself, but if my period doesn't show up by Monday, that's when I'll finally bite the bullet and test again.

THANKS 👋

I intend to go for my exam as early as next week because I want to get everything settled with the maternity ward immediately. My job is incredibly high-stress, and I simply cannot afford to take any unnecessary risks. According to the online calculators, my due date falls around October 30th...🙂
