thanks everyone, I honestly think my body is just hurting from something else because I really don't think I'm pregnant

It’s been five months now, and I still deal with this nagging pain every single time I try to lie flat on my back.

Hey everyone...
I know this topic has been covered a million times already, but I really need to hear what you guys think—if you even feel like typing, that is...
So, we've been trying to conceive for about 2 years now, but nothing's happened...
But things are acting weird lately...
My period was supposed to show up about 6 days ago, but it actually started 4 days ago... and since then, I've just had this weird brownish spotting (no actual blood) and I'm basically stuck wearing liners 24/7. Now that spotting is finally starting to taper off... which is super strange because this has never happened to me before. Usually, I get spotting on day one and the last two days, but then I have at least 3 solid days of a real period...
On top of that, I’ve got these constant cramps like a regular period—my lower back is killing me, and today I even had these sharp, stabbing pains popping up on both my left and right sides...
The nausea is pretty much my baseline at this point, so I'm not even counting that—it's probably just mental or whatever...
My breasts are also feeling a bit sore, nothing crazy, just that usual ache you get right before your period hits...

I don't want to go out and buy another test yet, honestly—I'm sick of throwing money away on tests when they turn up negative... I'll just wait a little longer...

Until then, let me know what you guys think... is it possible we finally did it????!!!! omg...

I wouldn't want to let you down, but I've definitely had months where my period was just like that...

It might be a good idea to just pick up a test. If you are pregnant, it’s probably worth seeing an OB-GYN to figure out why you're experiencing bleeding and whether there's anything that needs to be addressed medically. That's just my two cents, anyway... though I realize you might already be dealing with the weight of another disappointing result.

Regardless, I am truly rooting for you. I really hope that if it wasn't meant to be this time, you'll find success very soon 😘

I’m currently seven months along, and—honestly—there are moments when the aches and pains just hit you out of nowhere and drive you absolutely mad. But I’ve learned to pivot quickly; I just find that one specific position where the pressure lets up, lie down, and everything settles back into place. I actually dealt with some sudden lower back issues during my first trimester, though looking back, those were practically nothing compared to what I'm dealing with now... Seriously, if you aren't using a pregnancy pillow between your knees while sleeping on your side, you are missing out—it’s an absolute game-changer. To be perfectly honest, though, the back pain isn't even my biggest grievance right now; it’s the veins and capillaries in my legs. They’re acting up so much that my legs look like a literal battlefield.

I don't want to get your hopes up too high, but I was actually already pregnant when I had my last period—it felt just like what you’re describing, just this really light, watery spotting... Then, the very next day, I took a test and it was positive.

Like Kevin Lee4 mentioned, sometimes you just have a period that feels totally off.
But seriously, don't rush into testing too early. For me, the test actually came back negative the day after that spotting stopped!

I'm crossing my fingers that this is the real deal for you!😘

Just take a test and let's hope for the best...
When I first found out I was pregnant, I didn't have any weird spotting or anything at all. For me, my period just straight-up vanished. But then again, I've talked to so many other women who said they actually had their regular period even though they were already pregnant...
Anyway, I'm sending some good vibes your way ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ so that little test shows a big fat plus sign and everything turns out perfectly...

Sorry, I’m honestly too exhausted to go hunting through old threads right now, so I figured I’d just start a new one and ask you all about this hormone...
So, I have bloodwork scheduled for tomorrow, and I’m wondering if I actually need to tell the lab technician that I want my beta levels checked specifically, or is that just a standard part of the panel anyway? Sorry, I’m having a hard time even putting this question together properly—if you know what I mean, please let me know! Also, does anyone happen to know what a typical level should look like if I am pregnant? Thanks so much in advance!!!!

It all depends on what kind of screening you're actually requesting.😬 If you're just doing a standard ESR or CBC, they won't bother with it—but if you're specifically ordering a pregnancy test, then they'll naturally isolate the beta levels.😉

I think the levels might start out somewhere around 1,000. I'm not totally sure, though.
Just tell them to run a pregnancy test. Honestly, if you aren't pregnant, there shouldn't be any hormone in your system at all.😘

Just over a month ago, I had a laparoscopy, and they confirmed I have endometriosis.

For the last 8 months, I’ve been dealing with a persistent low-grade fever (between 99°F and 100°F), which has actually climbed to 100.4°F over the past week. My blood work comes back normal, so my doctors suspect it might be gynecological again or perhaps some other internal issue...

Immediately after the laparoscopy and having a chocolate cyst removed, my temperature went back to normal, so we thought we found the culprit. But just a week and a half after the surgery, the fever came right back.
I have a follow-up OBGYN appointment scheduled for March 26th, and next Monday, I’m headed back for more testing.

I want to give a little context before I ask my question.
The surgery was on January 30th. I had my first period since then on March 3rd. Since I didn't have a prescription for the birth control pills I’m supposed to be on (Triquilar), I finally picked them up this Wednesday (March 7th). I started the first pill on the fifth day of my period after a month-long break.

The instructions say you need to use backup protection for the first seven days.
We had sex yesterday, and even though I used a condom for extra protection, it broke, and my partner finished inside me.

Even though my fertile window shouldn't be until around March 13th, I’m starting to panic. I know sperm can live inside for about 2 to 6 days, and with this recent endometriosis diagnosis, I’m worried my hormones might be wonky and shift my ovulation earlier than expected.

I’ve stayed on my birth control, but I’m feeling really unsure—is there a chance I could get pregnant in this situation?

Thank you all so much for any help..

..God works in mysterious ways.. I honestly don't think anyone besides Him knows what's coming next.. We all have a tendency to jump to the worst-case scenario, but the reality is that those fears rarely actually materialize.. We're keeping our fingers crossed for you; things always seem to work out in your favor in the end.

I honestly don't even know what to think right now..

..The thing is, I’m terrified I won’t be able to carry this pregnancy to term. Between my irregular cycles and all these health issues—both physical and mental—it feels overwhelming..

There is just so much on my plate. I’m still grinding through college, and I need to land a solid job so I can actually provide a comfortable life for my kid..

My partner is great; we’ve been together for years now, so that isn't the issue..

But the timing? It’s just completely wrong..

I keep wondering if it's even possible for things to work out given everything I'm going through right now..

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I went through something almost identical just recently. During that first week with Trinidad, we missed a window in our protection schedule—we were supposed to be careful for seven days, but he ended up going inside me without a condom. We used one later on, and he didn't even finish inside... but look, I’m naturally a total paranoid wreck, and since I know pre-cum can carry sperm (plus, I was right around my ovulation window), I was freaking out every single second until my period finally showed up.
It was like my body was doing it just to spite me or something because of the stress—it didn't arrive that morning like it usually does; it showed up late in the evening instead. I had an unopened pregnancy test lying around at home, so a few days after my period ended, I decided to take it just to be sure. It came back negative! 😛 (I know, I know... I'm clearly losing my mind here, lol)...
Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers that everything turns out exactly how you need it to right now. 👍

Thanks... I'm really 😱
I wish I could just email a gynecologist or something to get some advice..

about whether there's any chance I could get pregnant again..
I’d go grab the morning-after pill..

One time I went to the ER for that pill and it was such an awful experience... they gave me such judgmental looks..

..and since I had laparoscopic surgery about a month ago, most of the OB-GYNs here would probably recognize me anyway..plus, I actually got into a few arguments with staff while I was admitted there..so, yeah..

I'm probably going to lose it.. 😢

If you're asking me, I'd say those odds are pretty slim. You weren't even ovulating at that time—and honestly, if you're on the pill, the real question is whether you even ovulated at all. So many things have to line up perfectly for pregnancy to happen; I know plenty of super healthy couples who've been trying for years without any luck at all.
If you decide to go the morning-after route, you don't need to rush to the ER. Any local urgent care or private clinic can handle it for you.

Can someone please tell me if the antibiotics, cough suppressants (like Pholcodin), and painkillers I'm taking for this flu are going to mess with the results of a Clearblue test or any other kind of rapid test?
